The Martin has a Sitka Spruce Top. The Eastman has Adirondack. Sitka will be warmer at the outset, but as the Adirondack opens up over time it is the better of the two tonewoods. If you don't believe it look it up. The Eastman is less than half the price of the Martin. I'm buying the Eastman.
Wouldn't it be nice if the demonstration were repeated today (four years later) using the same two instruments. It's frustrating to see demonstration after demonstration using just-out-of-the-box (new) Adirondack-top guitars. Indeed, it would be somewhat helpful if the demonstration was done using three older Adirondack-top guitars and three newer guitars.
I can tell you that I've had my E20OM for about 2 1/2 years. It sounded pretty damn stunning right out of the box. There was a noted improvement after a fairly short time and then it just gets subtly better over time. I only wish it had the modified V neck of the Martin.
? Adirondack is a different and most would say better tonewood. That's why Martin adds a grand or so upcharge for Adi tops. The prewar, "Golden Era" Martins had Adirondack tops.
Fair enough but when Martin had the choice of Adi or Sitka they chose Adi. On their authentic series they use Adi. But in any case, the OPs main point that "Sitka will be warmer at the outset, but as the Adirondack opens up over time" is pretty accepted and so these comparisons don't completely capture the tonal differences that you'd expect after a few years (or many years) of playing.
I have an eastman e10om, and I think I like the Martin OM28V sound better than the E20OM. The OM28V sounds more tight, refined and balanced. The Eastman sounds more airy. Thanks for the review!
I expected the Martin to knock the Eastman out, but that's not the case. They do sound different, but I prefer the air and sparkle of the Eastman. Of course, this is only 2 guitars, and they all vary from each other to an extent. Well done, Eastman.

I prefer the Eastman in this video. It has more sparkle
I also have an eastman e10om, and I think the Martin OM28V does sound better than the E20OM. in this video.
The E 10 has Mahogany on the back, not rosewood. If you had rosewood, the diference would be slight.
Eastman sounds less refined than the Martin. Money being no object, I'd choose the Martin.
That particular strumming song is not meant for either guitar. Light strumming is best on either, if you strum.

請問E20OM有現貨嗎?
The Martin costs twice as much! My money is on the Eastman....
Om28 for sure
Wrong. The Eastman has more punch, volume and depth.
