Back in 81 while in the army I was headed home for what would be the worst tragedy in my life, although at that time I didn't know what was waiting for me, and I saw Reggie Jackson standing with a beautiful woman and I approached them thinking what I was going to say. Before I even got to them they both spoke 1st and, almost in sequence said, " We thank you for your service" and offered a very friendly hand. I thanked them, and shaked hands with them both. I asked Reggie for an autograph and he gave me one.
As an 8 year old Dodgers fan, Reggie's 3 HRs in Game 6 of the '77 World Series was what made me hate the Yankees! But respect & admiration for that era of the NY Yankees & Jackson putting on a show will never go away. Perhaps the greatest showman & most exciting hitter of the 70's, you could not take your eyes off his at-bats. Pretty lucky to have watched the 2 premier dynasties of pro baseball play in 3 World Series in 5 years was spectacular (1977-78-81). Rich Eisen's 1st Jackson card was my very 1st Jackson card as well, the 1978 Topps set, which also included a WS highlight card & a Record Breaker card of Reggie!

Thank you for sharing this interview, Reggie, Richard, and Rich. Great work, team.
Rich, I too was blessed to fall in love with baseball when Reggie hit the three homeruns!
Great interviews !
This is why he said what he said. Now everyone wants him on there show.
Binging on Reggie.I started paying attention to baseball because of him when I first came to America.

5:14 “there are 60 plus genders”…….Reggie Jackson is a baseball legend…..but he lost me there with the “60 plus genders” comment.
Facts.
And thats one thing white people don't like ,"facts"
Another one bites the dust.
That doc was terrible. Where was the baseball? You'd think Reggie played in South Africa.
You must be white. It was hell for blacks during that time period. Sbow Reggie some respect.
Thanks for the warning. Though after the first couple minutes of this thing I started losing interest in seeking out the doc.
Seriously Reggie? If equity sold tickets the wnba wouldn't be a subsidized league
Dan Patrick’s gonna have to get some color on his staff or am interview with Reggie is gonna be awkward.
This is madness
more inclusion for asians in NFL and NBA
60 genders?
when they pay you enough money, you'll say anything
@@donhello7522 i guess so. it's shameful
@@retiredluvit4100 too bad Rich didnt ask him to name 5
@@donhello7522 that would have been prefect. you should send that in to "curb your enthusiasm"

Racist Reggie🤮
Based on Reggie Jackson's story of the "Yankee Clipper," Joe DiMaggio was CHEAP. 😆 🤣 😂
pretty sure the yankee clipper knew there are only two genders though wtf
