I understand a lot of this at my age. My parents, born in the 1920s, went through so much as a Black American. Most don't want to talk about the American truth. Now, some are trying to hide it under a bushel, because it's ugly, and a lot of people who perpetuated this are still alive, well, and some want to hide their shame. However, some are proud of this disgrace. Thank you Reggie Martinez Jackson.
I am very grateful that you had Reggie Jackson on your show. I am excited to watch his story. I hope he has a book to follow. Hopefully, I can read further about his truth, the reality, from his voice and from his lens, without edited cuts, deletions or ommsions. I look forward to him creating the next chapter of his documentary series.
Why does America hate truth? Why do they try so hard to hide their hatred and evilness? This man is telling you what he endured in his life but accepting what you did and try to better yourself, you would rather tell people like him to be quiet you are making our kids uncomfortable. How can you advance as a society when you can't even acknowledge your past?
Love Reggie ! Probably the first sports figure and star that got me excited about baseball in general . Being that I was 7 years old when the “ Reggie Bar” came out that most definitely influenced me as well.
Reggie Jackson Was Awesome Baseball ⚾️ Player For Years And He Was One Off The First Black Baseball ⚾️ Player In The World 🌍 So Awesome To Here Is Story Every Day
@@ckh937610 PR can be Spanish, Spanish-Indian, Indian-African, Spanish-Indian-African, Spanish-African. Any of those. But PR doesn't mean Black all the time.
Wow. Look how light he is and the hate was and is real. It's so stupid for not liking someone for the colour of their skin, without even knowing the person. They just want Africans to be beneath them and, not do better than them.
I am saddened that he had to deal with this tragic racism all his life. I am happy for him that he is now telling the truth. I do not believe in racism or any other type of discrimination. I b am b as white as white can be. But, I am not ashamed to hear the ugly truth that he is telling the truth.
Ask Reggie to tell the story of a conversation he had with Bear Bryant and how he had no problem wth the coach dropping an "N" bomb on him. In fact he felt honored>
It's so sad that regardless of all the hate and madness that Reggie Jackson had to endure, he still managed to date only white women, with the exception of one black woman, Sheila Johnson who just happened to have been a billionaire. So actually, I don't want to hear him whining about how he was treated, because he obviously didn't learn anything from it.
We need to talk about race. Nothing embarrassing about it, some white people don't want to hear about their great great parents being horrible people. What about our great great parents and even now racism still exists. We can do better, we know better but for some white folks it is about power.
Not all skin folk, are your kin folk. Malcolm X warned against judging people the way white folk judge us. Racism is real, however there might be a decent person on the other side, maybe these two married decent people. Lorraine Hansberry married a decent white who protected her legacy.
@@HubertDavis-jv1bs This comment makes no sense. I'm straight and a fan of Black Love. Practicing a Black Love can erase some of this hate. H Davis, aren't you married to a White woman?
It seems Reggie Jackson has forgotten about the man who gave him the multi-million dollar contact and the fans who watched on tv and sat in the stands. All of those who made Reggie rich and famous are the ones he’s griping about
we have a generation that does not even know Reggie...he has always spoke the truth about injustice
I'm so glad that Reggie is telling his story because so many never had a chance to do so or actually felt comfortable doing so.
Love, the buttons on his shirt! I holler, when he said, “ Your Ass, is glad, I’m here too!”
Tamron, what a segment! Reggie, told the Whole Truth! Thank you Tamron, for taking care of him.
Reggie was a customer of ours when he was on the Anaheim Angels. He was always super nice to us and always happy. I miss talking to you, Reggie.
California Angels, you mean. They weren't the Anaheim Angels then.
Please post positive proof pronto

Reggie was baseball's version of Muhammad Ali!

It takes a person that has went thru it and has nothing to loose.
Reggie Martinez Jackson he is 🇵🇷
His mother was, I believe or at least half Puerto Rican.

@MrJusticeM
The reason america can't stand the truth. Is because it was built upon lies.
Why does the black community hate the truth? Black on black murder. Black on Asian racism.

Funny how he is Puerto Rican and treated as Black. Cause they are
It’s written in the Supreme Court ruling, the one drop rule. Plessy vs. Ferguson. If you have a drop of African blood/ black, you’re black.
His father is African American and I believe his mother is PR(full or half). You can be PR and black, as Africans were sent there enslaved as well.

Thank you Reggie. Many people think racism doesn’t exist or because there are rich people of color in the country racism doesn’t exist. That’s BA.
Lovely interview. Please interview Carmen de Lavallade!!
Yess!❤

This would make sense if they didn't like white people...but white people and RACIST people are two different people. Do better.
