The Botan Tarot remains one of my favorites as well (and I discovered it through you!). Tarot lost its spark for me this year, and I sold off or gave away most of my decks, but the Botan was one I kept. It reminds me of my mom as it was the first deck I got after she passed away. The Strength card is one of my favorite cards ever, and just last week, I went to a local craft fair where I got to meet Addi Miyako (we live in the same town) and bought the Page of Coins and Queen of Coins prints from her. It's such a comforting deck for me, and the card stock is just fantastic.

Me too!! I’m kind of obsessed with it - its light colors, the delicate line work - I’m guessing because it’s pretty new people wouldn’t be putting it in their top tarot for 2022 but I couldn’t help it. Happy Holidays Rustin I hope you have an amazing 2023!!!!! ❤️❤️
I got this video recommended to me after I decided to purchase the monsoon tarot deck, the collector's edition, have you seen it?? I have always been attracted to it but that gave me the final push! I didn't have many changes to my favourites in my collection, but Seed and Sickle and Terra Volatile are definitely in the top 10. I still love my own, Thoth, Hidden Realms, Fate/flowers and Vertigo tarot

Love your thoughts on your favorite decks! I haven't been reading a lot of tarot lately but my most used (ie. favorite?) decks would be the Trionfi della Luna Paradoxical & the traditional Thoth Tarot. Had a lot of fun with the Halloween Tarot in autumn too. And I love the Yokai Yochi - got it with the second print run but I'm having trouble reading with it. It feels like all the cards are static characters instead of overarching concepts or more dynamic situations, even the pips. It gives good inspiration for fiction writing but I find it hard to interpret when approaching it with general life questions. Maybe I should do a reading asking how it wants to be read haha. If you have other tips, I'd love to hear them!

No, you’re absolutely right about the Yokai Yochi but the thing is I honestly do feel the personalities of the characters so strongly in the deck that it makes it more active - I could see them IN the situations that I ask about. But yes, I’ll be interested in what the reading tells you!! Thanks Vanessa - and I’m amazed by your NanoWrimo experience (if I didn’t remember wrongly hahaha I remember seeing how quick you were on your IG)

Your top 5 is ❤. I really wish yokai yochi, blood moon and botan do a reprint! Alongside lubanko tarot, we're talking about top craftsmanship. My only hesitation is whether I would actually use all of them and the price tag.

While I love all of my top 10, I have to admit not all of them get used often, especially since I still acquire new decks :/ quite irresponsible of me but it’s a treat once in a while ❤️❤️🙏🏼
@@BoyDiviner oh collecting decks as artwork is totally fine. It's mostly my practical Taurus side that feels bad if I buy something that doesn't get used. So honestly, I wasn't passing judgement
Brady Tarot recently made its way to my wishlist, its such a bold and beautiful deck! Luckily I don't mind the rose petal matte types 😍(eta I've got the 2nd Version of Spirit Keeper's Revelation on the way and it looks amazing)
It’s soooo beautiful - I just suck at shuffling hahahahaha. I’ve been so tempted by the colored versions of the Spirit Keepers but I must save my wallet 😂😂

(I’ve never made it more than 7000 and that was when I was still in school. Hoping I’ll feel like I’ve more time and space for it next year!)

I love the Botan Tarot but I do agree about its Major Arcana. They were designed first so I think they are less sophisticated than the minors.
