@Xeyal25 Shehni Kh[v]ajeh tribe. My skin is fairly light and my father is blue eyed and blonde. I dunno m8, we are certainly of the same stock, but I don’t believe we pronounce H’s as hard as Kurds. We barely even pronounce “kh”, we say “huneh” instead of “khāneh” for example.
@Xeyal25 Shehni is haftlang. Again culturally I wouldn’t say we’re entirely different. However, when it comes to language there are a few differences. I suggest listening to songs of Masoud Bakhtiari like “Dang o Fang” to find out.
Im a native persian speaker and i understood 85-90% of this i was so surprised i didn't thought it was similar (yes i know its a proto iranic language) but heres a thing some word by some i mean a lot of words are not common in persian yet understandable and some of them are not mutable at all , however,vthe entire sentence completely make sense to me , still im glad i can understand enough , beautiful language.

There is no book , This is minority language in Iran and the government doesn’t really care about our language, but you can find a native who can teach you , I’m lur myself but there are so many lurs outside iran maby you can learn from them
Actually to us Farsi speakers it sounds like very loose and distorted way of speaking,we understand like 30 to 60% of it clearly, 10 to 30% very abbreviated ,10% kind of distorted in a way that unless you are into Iranic languages,you wont understand it. and the rest is not intelligible for us. Learning Luri is easy for us and if you spend like 6 month between them,even without education, you can speak basic Luri fairly easily. anyway Luri sounds very sweet.

Lori is a direct descendant of Old Persian, while Modern Persian stems from Middle Persian which in turn comes from Old Persian. For a language variety to be a dilect of another, it should be descended from it. So while both Lori and Old Persian could have been dilects of the same language (Old Persian), their modern forms are separate languages, though very closely related.

Most likely, after Islam, the Kurds and the Lor people separated from each other and the Lor language was highly influenced by Persian, but even there are many similarities between the Lor language and Kurdish for the Lor people. The genetically closest people in the world are Kurds, there is almost no difference between them genetically.

Kurdish did not come from the Lor language. Kurdish and the Lor language were a single language before the advent of Islam. Most likely, after Islam, the Kurds and the Lor people separated from each other and the Lor language was highly influenced by Persian, but even there are many similarities between the Lor language and Kurdish for the Lor people. The genetically closest people in the world are Kurds, there is almost no difference between them genetically.

For example southern kurds (kurds of kermanshah in iran are almost genetically same as northern lors)
But I can't see any similarity not genetically nor linguistically with northern kurds
@@notfromthisworld5851 All Kurds are genetically close. The reason for this is that Kurds are against mixing with other nations and consanguineous marriage is common. All Kurds are close to the Kurds. Northern Kurdish is the oldest Kurdish language and is less influenced by Persian than other Kurdish languages, but as a northern Kurd, I can understand the Bakhtiari language better than Persian.

For example a kurd from kermanshah (shia) is more close to a lor from khorramabad than someone from erbil or diarbakir
And also there s no similarity between bakhtiari lori and kurdi

Because the Kurds have a tribal structure and a closed society, they did not intermarry with other nations. They are still close to each other in genetic tests. You may not understand Kurdish, but I can understand a small part of the Bakhtiara Luri language.

I found out that Luri is a collection of Western Iranian dialects spoken mainly in Iran, and also in Oman. Luri has four dialect groups: Northern Luri, Kumzari, Bakhtiâri and Southern Luri. These groups are similar to Persian, and the Bakhtiâri dialect is transitional between Kurdish and Persian.
