    I had never seen these photos before. It is just so crazy to see someone behaving so normally and yet on the other side of their personality is a nightmare. It just blows my mind that the photos of their little family looked so happy and innocent. SMH.

    I feel for her.
    She seems like such a good person. So sweet. No wonder he loved her (as he possibly could, perhaps). She was like an angel, a light sent to him (to, perhaps, ease the pain, show the 𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 way, etc.), but unfortunately the darkness within him was much stronger...
    I wish those women the best!

      Yes, it was all too risky, but as the story tells us, he seemed very appealing to her. And back in the day, ppl weren't used to hearing SK stories. (Not to mention, she was s bit tipsy.)
      We only know that he is creepy/strange/disgusting, etc. only because we know his story, what he'd done.

      @@Viracocha88 C'est vrai. It requires some very real interaction with those types to even begin to understand and/or recognize them. It's not possible to understand without that experience, but that experience alone is also not sufficient, which is precisely what makes it so difficult to try to warn the uninitiated or the already charmed and/or ensnared. It's also partly why so many psychologists and psychiatrists are completely wrong about them so tragically often.

    I've read he didn't love her--like so much else in his life, he calculated the relationship to make him seem, "normal." She didn't look enough like the pretty co-ed's he victimized, so he was able to separate her from the others in his psychopathic fantasies. Lucky for her, but still so sad.

    We’ve all seen this story before. The first time we saw it as a fictional tale “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” by Robert Louis Stevenson. Ted Bundy made it reality. The only difference is Dr. Jekyll had to drink the formula to become Mr. Hyde. Ted had the formula inside him already.

    I may have come across him once at a beach in CA. He wanted me to carry some things to his car. I said, "Carry them yourself". No way was I going to carry those things to his car. His car was parked very close to the beach. I am not sure if it was him or not but I wasn't going to take any chances.

    I cant believe the cops drop the ball on this case. All these women with similar appearance came up missing so fast. I know in late 60's people were dropping out to hippie communes and running away from home, but this was early mid 70's and these girl were full time college students

      No. It’s because of what author Ann rule writes in the book about bundy who she worked with and became friends called a stranger beside me, she believes she was safe because Ted personally knew her and if something happened to her he would be noticed as a suspect too easily and I believe that’s what made his girlfriend and daughter safe.

    You had an idyllic relationship, he loved your daughter and that was reciprocated. You were very attractive also. What happened, when did it start going wrong? Who let go? You or him?
    When did you consider that he was that Ted? Yet you were still with him.
    You looked so well-matched as a family also.
    Did he not love you I would of so I can't understand him not doing so.

      She had trauma and her daughter had trauma. They both have a right to be sad. They went through a lot. Nobody can talk until you walk in someone elses shoes and expirence what they both expirenced in life........
