The scariest thing about this guy is he valued his own life. Most of these serial killers didn’t care what kind of sentence they got or what happened to them. He took these women’s lives so easily but did everything he could to delay his own execution.

Susan Smith watched her kids drown slowly because they inconvenienced her. A number of prison guards have been reprimanded / fired for having sex with her. Diane Downs killed one of her kids and maimed the rest. She regularly received letters as a convict, from men who "just wanted to take care of her." Closest we have to a Bundy is Aileen Wournos, but she wasn't "hot" and was never going to get the groupies.
Ted looked like a TV soap hunk and as any defence attorney will tell you, pretty faces dazzle juries. "even when they knew he was a serial killer" - but they weren't picturing him torturing women - they couldn't get past his pretty face. Contrast Bundy - so beloved by the media - with portly BTK Dennis Rader, of whom the kindest one could say had a more "homely" appearance. He killed many women but he didn't get the trial groupies. Cos nobody fancied him.
Do NOT fall for this shit girls. I really think men should just be thankful that their sons will go to college and not have to worry that some woman will stalk them, sexually torture them and desecrate their remains. I'm not saying the O.P. specifically held this intention, but please be aware that many of the men who write such posts do. It's a favourite trick of the MRA crew and ultimately, if repeated time and time again, it almost implies that women invite abuse. It's dangerous and it's specious. As I wrote - men just need to be thankful that "pretty" women don't whack young lads over the head - drag them to isolated locations and sexually torture them.
Sadly, women always have to be very careful about how we're perceived by men. Always remind men how lucky they are, with regards to this specific issue. Always be mindful of undertones - what is not being said.

Ted Bundy offered my grandpa a ride home once when he was a teenager, he lived in Seattle and I think Ted mistook him for a girl from behind because of his long hair. 2 weeks later a 16 year old girl from west Seattle high school went missing and was listed as a runaway but it's suspected he killed her and she was never found
@Amy Y You can go back and do the math, my grandpa was born in Seattle in 1960, Bundy was in Seattle in 1974. He didn't get in the car with him but Bundy did the whole "I need help" act with him and was driving his infamous mustard yellow beetle, he was hanging out at Alki Beach when it happened. You can believe whatever you want to, I'm just sharing what he told me. You believing me isn't my priority.

Not actually. The average pictures of Bundy is about his time in prison, after several drug abuses and incarceration; just try to look out for his early photos from 70's, he was damn beautiful and attractive with his blue eyes.

ted LOVED talking about himself. all the interviews, questions he was asked, he never ever answered bitterly. it fooled people into thinking he had a good, kinder side, but in reality he was just happy the conversation was about him.
The sound mixing isn't great on this. The ambient background music is way too loud, making it really difficult to hear what the women are saying.

The adubctor of Junko Furtaro, a very sick case even Ted would draw the line at, is still free. He acts crazy around his neighbors/stomps on the cieling and they don't know who he is. They knock on his door to tell him to stop bt he doesn't answer. He runs to slam doors on them while they're leaning in their car. He also slashed a passenger in the car of a guy he ran to yell at after the passenger defended the guy. He went to court then acted crazy there

What scares me about this is that there’s Ted Bundy’s everywhere. A lot of them are still living amongst society and no one knows who they are.
Since the DNA technology and security cameras becoming widely used it's become much much harder to pull of something as horrific as what Bundy did. But sure, there are unfortunately definitely killers living among us.
It scares me that any one of us could snap one day and become a serial killer, it could be me or you or any one of us (this doesn't mean anything dont take it too seriously) but just the thought makes me shiver

Today, the "men" that are mostly considered attractive are over dramatic baby-faced, tattooed, bird caged chested, femininely dressed with a ghetto twist of style. I've lived in Tallahassee since 1970. At the time that the murders occurred here, I lived in a duplex around the corner from the sorority house. Our back yards were adjacent to one another. The duplex where Ms. Thomas was attacked was just a few blocks away. I was and am a big fan of the FSU dance program and was heartbroken that Ms. Thomas's injuries permanently ended her dance career. I'm so impressed that she has the courage to speak about what happened. May she continue to be strong. ❤️💛

Everyone says he looks ugly but you have to remember a few things
-In the 70s, style was different.
-TV resolution and print were not as crisp as it is now. Set this vid to 144p and picture it being on an old TV.
-He had a car and dressed well, was articulate, and stayed around younger impressionable women. This gave the impression that he was an achiever and successful.
-He had charisma, like a how a good salesman can sell you junk. It's not about what's being sold, it's about who's selling it.
-It took years for the truth to come out so he didn’t seem heinous.
-He seemed to have a heart, more than most serial killers who were numb to their emotions.
A good way to judge how he looks is look at his 40 y/o daughter now. And mirror image grandson

wait... florida authorities literally asked one of ted bundy's victims what she did to "deserve" almost being murdered by a serial killer? i'm genuinely curious as to what they expected her to say.
They ask victims of batterings and shootings for potential motives for the crimes. It's like if my step-uncle got shot or something he should tell the authorities he owes people millions of dollars. It seems like a terribly targeting question but can be really useful in weeding out suspects.

My grandma told me that she was on an airplane and kept making eye contact with this one guy. She got off the airplane and he offered her a ride. Luckily she said that her family was coming so she didn't need one, yet he still insisted. She kept on saying no, and then he eventually left her alone. Later, she was watching the news and realized that the man was Ted Bundy.

I was at Ft. Lewis, Wa. when Bundy was murdering women up there, his MO was asking women for help because he had a fake broken arm. I moved to Denver in 1975 and there was a story on the news about women is Salt Lake City and the MO was the same. In front of 4 people I called the SLC Police Department and said "There was a guy in Seattle doing the exact same thing, same MO exactly." The cop on the phone said "Yeah, I'm sure he commutes" and hung up. Believe me or not, I could care less, that's exactly what happened.

Ted was not really that smart. His law grades were atrocious and he flunked out. His defense of himself by being his own lawyer was so bad, he was sent to the electric chair. Judge Cowart was just making a statement. He knew what he was.

Ted Bundy's first victim was a little girl in Tacoma Washington that he never officially admitted to her name but he described murdering a lil girl in tacoma around that time in detail n how she was taken from her home thru the window n shit. So he admitted it just left out her name. He probably sensed he inherited psychoptic traists from his grandpa bc his grandpa's severe anger was craziness. And he sensed his daughter or offspring could too. That's why he met very loyal Carol, had a kid with her, then she suddenly left him in the end. It was all Ted's plan.
How he also managed to get married and had a baby during his court days are mind boggling! It seems he intentionally breed before he got electrocuted, he wanted to make sure he has offsprings in this world, he’s so selfish he was in prison but had a baby, he def wanted offsprings for his own purpose.
That's exactly what I felt when he manipulated Carol to leave him. Disturbingly I think he sensed he inherited psychopathy traits from his grandpa and he sensed his mirror image daughter did, or felt any child of his would. He def married Carol for a baby then let her leave him so the child was raised freely to maybe carry on his work. Or decided to have a child while he was on trial, and find a mother he could get to raise the child in secrecy after having her leave him. Everyhting with Carol seems planned out

I was always adamantly against the death penalty under _any_ circumstances, until I learned about Ted Bundy and how he managed to escape _twice!_

Cops didn't catch Bundy, bundy caught himself through his erratic driving. I'm no Bundy fan, but let's be honest, he got away with his crimes for years, while cops bumbled around trying to figure things out. Years later they take credit for 'catching' him, when truth be told, he just fell into their laps, the cops had NO clue. His then long time girlfriend even phoned the cops, and handed him to them on a silver platter, and still it was years before they caught up with him. The cops were totally inept, now to hear them tell it, they caught him, laughable.

I met Ted Bundy in the death row visiting area at the Florida prison where he was executed. I met Ted in 1981. I am a 56 year old lady and I remember that Ted would always stare at me. I remember seeing Ted's wife carole visiting with him.
My dad actually met Bundy face-to-face and was told where he was staying at, as well as being in the trial. He's mentioned in the book "The Only Living Witness"

To see Cheryl Thomas is amazing! I have thought such nice thoughts to her since 1985 when I learned that she was a ballet dancer whose career was ruined by Bundy. That broke my heart as well as all all the other lovely young ladies hurt by him! Their goodness prevails over his evil!

When he gave women his real name he was taunting the police. He was inviting the police and the media to try and catch him.
The incompetency on the part of the police investigation that they waited for Ted to kill someone to be sure it's him. They should have just called him in and question him based on suspicion. They let him on the lose again and again and he killed many women including that 14 year old girl. That really breaks my heart.

It's not the fact that he was of low IQ or that he was stupid as to why he was so brazen at the lake. He'd simply been getting away with his crimes for so long and he had become more and more accustomed to that fact and so became much more daring and the need to fulfil his desires weighed on him more and more. It was simply a matter of complacency due to a number of factors and this seems to be a similar pattern for even the most intelligent killers.
He was evil, but no genius as much as he was lucky, to escape law enforcement.
The thing is, the number of his murders and crimes is unknown. So when anyone starts talking about how their relative could be a victim of his, it’s most likely can be true. It’s actually scary. You just don’t how many innocent people were killed by this sick man, or even the people he tried to murder.
After watching the movie and watching the documentary, his face was flashing into my eyes and I was very scared at night. I couldn’t sleep well and had nightmares. This guy is dead but it is haunting me 😭😰 for two days.
