The front "wheel" is really a flat skid so it's easier to stay upright, also the wing provides lift with hardly any wing so you can see how the pilot continually feeds aileron input to level the wings even on the ground.
Amazing ! It even has undercarriage ! This is one of the most interesting flying machines I have ever seen. It's so sleek and a picture of perfection. Wow !
Some one needs to take up this engineering and produce these in larger numbers.. The cost to buy one of these is just to high.. A cost of around 10,000 -15,000 dollars should be the target.. The current price of 100,000 dollars per glider is much much too high !!
grabir01 i would say that the cost must be about 6-7k dollars and not more, for 10-15k you could study and even practice for a PPL and fly on a mono-motor plane
It's closer to 68,000 USD. This is not an item that will ever be produced in large numbers. Why? Do you really think the general public will want to buy one of these when they could buy 2 cars for the price? I'm sure the public will NOT take and PAY for flight school, licencing and even higher insurance than for a car.
Possibly, but remember how they take-off, they just lift up their legs through the opening in bottom, so I'm pretty sure they just set their feet on the ground when they stop.
You could glide for ages really the longest is actually 50+ hours but it stopped getting recognised because it become danger (People fell asleep and crashed).

ah, I think I get what you mean, but I'm not skilled enough to judge any windspeed and direction. No idea if the pilot is skilled enough to compensate for the effect or judge whether the effect is occurring or not. But he definately found a way to glide it :).
Hmm, for over $100,000 for the base model, I can buy a good, used Cessna 172, and still have enough left over for fuel and hangar space for two years! Something is definitely wrong with the price on these things...
That archaeopteryx can't cost 100,000$ because my house with 9 rooms costed about 28,000$. This archaeopteryx can be expensive just because of wings and that's it.
You've obviously never owned a plane before. The upkeep on even a Cessna is several thousands a year, and even more for required major overhauls. Then factor in fuel.
Nice landings..but now how do you get back home? Also is there a height and weight limit for pilots to be able to fly one...and how much does one of these cost???
Is it possible to maybe add a little lawn mower engine to it with a propeller on the back to have power occasionally to extend flight time? Maybe bicycle powered? Also how much flight time did you guys get on average from this location?
Guys , if you think this is expensive don't be so stupid! You can make this at home for about 2 months or if you are faster you can make it for less time. These wings can be just a little bit expensive , but who cares you can also make this from scrap , of course you need to find parts :)
@sivava1500 Yes, you can go quite far to different places just as you would with a car. Only you're flying and not driving on the ground. How much practical can you get?
hey, I am coming to Germany very soon and my friend always wanted to fly a glider in the alps, do you know of any places that let us do that? Hallo, Ich bin nach Deutschland kommen, sehr schnell und mein Freund wollte schon immer ein Segelflugzeug in den Alpen zu fliegen, haben Sie zu beliebigen Orten, die uns zu tun, dass wir das wissen?
It is really pretty enjoyable and fantastic toy but not ergonomic. Expensive, hard to transport and requires a runway or a large area for landing. Paragliding offers almost same flight with more advantages about all that points. But still I wanna fly once with it.
For what it is.....though a great design and though it's understandable (due to limited handbuilt production), nonetheless: 70 to 100k is seriously pushing the egregious range. Not even counting insurance. Then there's the question of cost coverage/reimbursement thru partial share or lease agreement with a school or club, which for a lot of us is not optional....it's a crucial part of keeping costs manageable....and yet, a lot of schools/clubs are decidedly and understandably wary about renting out experimental or ultralight designs for a whole array of reasons. Needs several years to mature and for costs and insurance related factors to stabilize.
This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
Blog it
I can bite my toe
I didn’t think I’d see you here
Agreed!
The beauty and elegance of this craft is captivating.
The front "wheel" is really a flat skid so it's easier to stay upright, also the wing provides lift with hardly any wing so you can see how the pilot continually feeds aileron input to level the wings even on the ground.
Looks absolutely beautiful when landing. The scenery of course helps as does the music.
This type of peaceful flying is good for the soul! Just magnificent, while the design of that wing is nothing less than brilliant,
@Logan Stroganoff u stupid, shut your mouth

they cost that much?
Martbrant yes

An average IQ person can't pass the flying test. So this isn't for masses. You rather go kayaking. Lol

Beautiful looking glider. Apart from the God ugly Tail fin and rudder! A swepted back fin/rudder has aerodynamic advantages as well!
Nice video sir, it's so fun and relaxing 👍
Mi comentario en españole solo puedo decir que "maravilloso e impresionante invento amigo God bless you 👍👍👍👍
I'd pay around 15-20k ... but 100k is definitely way to much.
For that money you could build your own one?
100k i can buy a nice used super cub and fly all over us.
100k would get you a far better glider that would get you much further than this ever could, but, I’d still want to fly one
years of development
high-end materials
low production run
catering to a (relatively) small market
it all adds up
Houston Helicopter Tours yeah but you can also get I glider that has better performance for £6,000
if the swissies could work out production and pricing to 50K - we would all buy one / we would all sell our grandmothers
You could glide for ages really the longest is actually 50+ hours but it stopped getting recognised because it become danger (People fell asleep and crashed).
wunderbar ausgezeichnet
OMG! ! those things are SUPER COOL!

Nice way of flight evolution, congratulations !
At 0:17 here it comes just above our heads. Shall we move. Naaaaaa can't be bothered. Lol

No you can't because you simply have no money.

fantastic new future for now the ultimate is here. thanks for sharing and your creation of flying. how blissful
Nice landings..but now how do you get back home? Also is there a height and weight limit for pilots to be able to fly one...and how much does one of these cost???
There is poetry in this type of flight.
75,300.00 CHF (approx 83,000 USD) according to their website price list.
Very cool. What’s the weight and glide ratios ?
das ist der nachteil, dass sie so leicht sind und beim landen noch den bodeneffekt haben, dann dauert es einfach etwas länger :)
Does it have to land in a special field for gliders of hang gliders, or will any field do?
Человек стал, наконец птицей! Ура!!!
What is the song in 2:25? Gosh nice
Is it possible to maybe add a little lawn mower engine to it with a propeller on the back to have power occasionally to extend flight time? Maybe bicycle powered?

Why aren't there air brakers(spoilers) on the wings? It is harder to make landing plan in this type.
It's every beautiful thing I have ever seen
Amazing! And inspiring.
it's so well balanced that it stays upright on 2 wheels? that's nuts
My guess is yes, but depends on your country. In the U.S. as long as it is less than 254lbs.
Great project😁😁😁😁
Since this has no engine, does a pilot have to be licenced? What about the use of radio.
It is simply an invention of geniuses. So ingenious.
What if someone mounts a small engine to it?
47Gigs and when you can get the power ??

Where are they now ☹️
Unrelated but the world record for longest hang gliding is over 24 hours
This looks fun
would this count as an ultralight so you dont need a pilots license?
Excellent 👌
Ho very nice, well done. What does one of these cost?
~80k USD
WHERE DO I BUY THIS PLEASE I WANNA KNOW
how many times it flying in air?
Show me a windy day, I can tell by clouds and trees it’s. Dead calm
Took "flying by the seat of your pants" rather literally there bub. ✈️💺👖
Where can I get one of these
It need shorter wingspan, but also wider, for speed, and high lift
Sailplanes work better with high aspect ratio wings.
E se ele tiver em alta velocidade como e que ele vai parar essa birosca ?
nice music
Beautiful
Lee side top landing? What about the rotor?
GREAT,MAGNIFIC !!!
nice project

How does it get airborne?
Is there any practical use, or just a toy?
@sivava1500

Whats is the song of minute 1:55?
TheChook darude - sandstorm
BEST PART ABOUT THIS IS YIU CAN ALSO BE AN AIRPLANE FOR HALLOWEEN! 🛫🛬✈🎃
Im you new subscriber😍😘👍❤️
That song is dope.
Wow like it very much

¿Donde encuentro precio de planeador y accesorios?
Whats the cost of this aircraft?
Gliding Passion Germany looks like about 7000$ or more
In US dollars? About 90 grand. No, I'm not kidding.
Its now $109,732.56
with this price you can buy a personal plane!!

Prise please
But will it blend?
which the value of that glider, anyone know?
I guess these wouldn't work too well in Florida...
So smooth.. Njiiirr
Moin, go to Unterwössen,
Greetings Pedro
danke, das ist soo wundervoll
Must be still air?
I wonder taxing in the airfield using legs.
I love flying
When you don't want to live anymore but you also want your wife to collect your life insurance.
is there a flight simulator for this?
Quanto custa um desses? Pfv..
Superb sir come once India and explain about this iam Ganesh Patel Suryavamshi from Hyderabad India
Amazing
Smooth operator
Wow, nice.
If you don't know what to send for my birthday...this bird would be a good present
Just sayin' :D
Because the wings are still working due the wind.
