Could you list all the albums mentioned in the description next month? It would make it easier to look them all up without clicking away from the video. Thanks for doing what you do!!!
Really enjoyed the video, the show overall is a cool idea. Got a lot of great recommendations from this one as well as the previous and there was just enough metal comedy to keep me laughing while head banging! Keep up the great work, cheers
I had heard panopticon once and forgotten the name and it was lost to me for about 4 or 5 years. THANK YOU for mentioning this! I can finally rediscover this project!
Love this show!! It’s a great addition to the in-depth overkill reviews. I would love it if you mentioned the sub genres of the bands you don’t play clips of. Keep up the great work!!
Tremendous show to highlight new releases. The snippets contain just enough of the sound, and the reviews remained on point! I second the motion to do a public playlist for this, and any of your other shows, via Spotify! Thanks!
Nice episode. I've never heard of Abyssal, and I'm not generally a death-doom guy, but I just checked out a sampler of the record Blayne reviewed, and it does sound pretty awesome, so thanks! The concept for this show is excellent, and Blayne is always entertaining and informative, so keep up the good work!
Chain Breakers visuals are from a 1980's movie called" The Beastmaster" staring Marc Singer, Tonya Roberts(Charlie's Angels) and Rip Torn. You're welcome .
And damn, just took a listen to that Deserted Fear album and it is fucking beast. It is exactly like a well blended mix of At The Gates and Bolt Thrower. A extremely pleasant surprise. Might go buy the album myself now as well
Suggestion - Can you add the list of releases coming out in the description in addition to the ones you go over in detail? Or maybe post to patreon? I use Google All Access and it blows finding new releases.
Agreed! Sometimes you do need spaceships and laser beams 🛸⚡️🚀 Abyssic sounds like another winner Blayne. Thx for being my endless source of discovering new Death Doom 💀🖤💀
I'm glad Deserted Fear featured in this episode. I mean, yeah they're not doing anything "new" but the latest one and Dead Shores Rising albums were very enjoyable.
you guys should really make monthly Recap videos instead, or in addition to this. That way you can rank the best albums of the month, tell us what albums surprised you/new discoveries, and on top of that, people can go check out the albums immediately rather than having to wait and potentially forgetting about them when they actually come out.
Great job Blayne. Abyssic looks promising. Is all the audio quality of these releases crap or is that just this video? Distinct "phone speaker amplified in a coffee mug" thing going on here.
@@deliciousdishes4531 Maybe not in sound but he kept some of the tone and lyric elements. Zeal And Ardor is a great band but they are black metal/blues. That's the closest band that comes to mind.
The title contains Traveler spelled with 2 l's, just a heads up. (Might help with people searching, *shrug*.) Now, since I've been *super* helpful, I don't mind once again mentioning Pensées Nocturnes "Grand Guignol Orchestra" as a Feb release recommendation, for those who are looking for black metal to torture clowns to. That Abyssic sounds really good, by the way.
@@Ms666slayer Ah right... yeah there are so many bands and albums called 'Traveler' it's tough to find, especially if they're still quite niche... Let me know if you find them! Thanks
I agree that sci-fi is better than fantasy. Sci-fi has more room more exploration, and a lot of writers try and create super weird, and philosophical stories. Fantasy, o the other hand, usually is more of the hero's journey and formulatic shit we're all tired of, with a few exceptions like Malazan (greatest story ever told. Fite me) or Witcher. But overall, sci-fi kicks fantasy's ass.
Do the Banger crew keeps public playlists in digital distribution mediums like spotify? that would be a cool thing to do
Carlos Lau M. They used to do all the metal playlists on Apple Music but I’m not sure if they still do
Yea would be funny seeing all the rap and pop they listen to.
If you search Banger Films Party Playlist on Spotify there's a 60 song playlist thats usually our go to.
Yea Banger you guys should have a spotify account!
Thanks for the shout out Blayne! We owe you a beer (or 10).
More Metal Monthlies!! I love them, particularly the parts where you talk about the "gari" whatever that means. Nice job Blayne!
Could you list all the albums mentioned in the description next month? It would make it easier to look them all up without clicking away from the video. Thanks for doing what you do!!!
This is a good idea. Please do this.
Oh wow thanks for the Panopticon headsup there Blayne!
I really like this monthly update. Just what we needed. And even with my favourite host Blayne. Thanks, keep it up!
Desecravity - Anathema, awesome tech death band from Japan and it’s some of the most chaotic and technical music I’ve ever heard
I love this series so much, its really helping me find a lot of music that I wouldn't have found otherwise.
Great call on Traveler. Their track on the Trapped Under Ice compilation rips!

Words cannot describe how pleasantly surprised I am by the Panopticon release. Looking very forward to hearing it , Austins work is brilliant.
It's so good! Wonder how it didn't end up on Scars Of Man...

I had heard panopticon once and forgotten the name and it was lost to me for about 4 or 5 years. THANK YOU for mentioning this! I can finally rediscover this project!
This is exactly what I want from Banger! Splendid stuff
The more Blayne we get, the happier I am. hope to see YOU next month \m/
Love this show!! It’s a great addition to the in-depth overkill reviews. I would love it if you mentioned the sub genres of the bands you don’t play clips of. Keep up the great work!!
What about new Saor album?
Not as good as previous ones
It's just as good IMO
Not as good as Guardians but definitely better than Roots. Still unsure about Aura.
Pretty sick album
Pretty good. Not as great as Guardians though but Bròn is an amazing track

Deserted fear FTW! I'm liking this show, hard to keep everyone happy with a show like this, glad you've got a variety of styles going on.
Saor - Forgotten Path. It is fantastic blackened folk metal. Needs more recognition.

Great stuff. Looking forward to this show every month now!

Great groups to listen to. Thanks so much.

So excited about the new Candlemass!
Hey just joined the patreon cause i love you guys!
Can i get my note from Blayne?
I didn't know where else to ask
Suggestion - Can you add the list of releases coming out in the description in addition to the ones you go over in detail? Or maybe post to patreon? I use Google All Access and it blows finding new releases.
If I wanted to get into panopticon, which album is a good place to start? Which is like the essential panopticon album?
probably too late but Autumn Eternal
@@TehFrostitute it's never too late for recommendations. I thank you good sir😊
Hell yeah Blayne! Killing it! good shit man.
Cheers, Blayne!
Cant find that traveler album anywhere! not on spotify, apple music. anyone got a hook up?
Our album will be released on Feb. 22 through Gates of Hell records, you can also grab it off our bandcamp page. DRINK BEER AND CRANK IT!!!!
New Herman Frank album "Fight the Fear" was released on 2/8
Hey banger can you possibly do another channel covering punk, hardcore, metalcore, alt rock etc.
Shokran - Ethereal came out today. Shokran is an Egyptian themed progressive metal band from Krasnodar, Russia, and it's their third album release.
That abyssic album cover takes you down to the catacombs scary
Oh joy, it's the Metal Muppet with Metal Monthly!
New astronoid album came out on February 1st
Talking about "Travelling music", I think the new Beast in Black record would fit perfectly in that description
You didn't mention the new "Moth Gatherer" album which I have pre ordered :)
Agreed! Sometimes you do need spaceships and laser beams 🛸⚡️🚀

Would've been nice to see Saor mentioned.
Please please please review the new Rotting Christ record! It is phenomenal! They’re best by far to date!
Very good, thanks.
Sweet as stuff Blayne!
Ayyye, I'd love to see the new Astronoid album mentioned
love that Deserted Fear!

More bands! More metal!
Save each video in your watch later and then watch it at the end of the month.. that way no disappointment of waiting! 🤟🏻
Love these!
OVERKILL The wings of war!!! I can't wait for this! Sounds so much better than "the grinding wheel".
Its awesome to see Downfall of Gaia getting some coverage with this new album. Go get sad!
Great job Blayne. Abyssic looks promising. Is all the audio quality of these releases crap or is that just this video? Distinct "phone speaker amplified in a coffee mug" thing going on here.
I think they're just playing the music in the studio so that's why it sounds like shit.
Review the new soen record
I'm looking forward to the new Continuum and the new Relics of Humanity EP the most this month.
Cool Show so far. I like the genre diversity.
Still waiting for the first Country/Black Metal band.
Maybe Glorior Belli could be described as what you mean? French bm from the 2000s, check out "Great Southern Darkness"
Nergal did a country side project called Me And That Man. That sort of counts lol.
@@danielcoats2691 well but there's no black metal in that one.
@@danielcoats2691 Bring a grim and frostbitten banjo riff!

Watch out for ORDOS. Amazing stoner metal, but with occult lyrics., epic vocals, some gutturals, it’s just amazing.
Hair's looking good, Blayne!
And more good stuff is coming this year it's going to be an epic year
How can one choose between Game Of Thrones and Star Wars ?
The paradigmatic fantasy is Lord of the Rings, dammit!
I see Blayne, I hit like.
What amp is that ?
Fucking LOVE me some Panopticon. So insanely good.
Dude I see all those dudes writing every band down *ahem* I'm one of them.
Just subscribed for the Downfall of Gaia mention.
There doesn't have to be metal that punches you in the skull?! Whaaaat?! 🤯

Does anyone know if Traveler are on Spotify?
They are in Apple Music so they must must be on Spotify. (It's a painin the ass to find them XD)
P.D. It's on pre-release so there's just one song.
