    Desecravity - Anathema, awesome tech death band from Japan and it’s some of the most chaotic and technical music I’ve ever heard

    Nice episode. I've never heard of Abyssal, and I'm not generally a death-doom guy, but I just checked out a sampler of the record Blayne reviewed, and it does sound pretty awesome, so thanks!
    The concept for this show is excellent, and Blayne is always entertaining and informative, so keep up the good work!

    And damn, just took a listen to that Deserted Fear album and it is fucking beast. It is exactly like a well blended mix of At The Gates and Bolt Thrower. A extremely pleasant surprise. Might go buy the album myself now as well

    you guys should really make monthly Recap videos instead, or in addition to this. That way you can rank the best albums of the month, tell us what albums surprised you/new discoveries, and on top of that, people can go check out the albums immediately rather than having to wait and potentially forgetting about them when they actually come out.

      @@deliciousdishes4531 Maybe not in sound but he kept some of the tone and lyric elements. Zeal And Ardor is a great band but they are black metal/blues. That's the closest band that comes to mind.

    Now, since I've been *super* helpful, I don't mind once again mentioning Pensées Nocturnes "Grand Guignol Orchestra" as a Feb release recommendation, for those who are looking for black metal to torture clowns to.

    I agree that sci-fi is better than fantasy. Sci-fi has more room more exploration, and a lot of writers try and create super weird, and philosophical stories. Fantasy, o the other hand, usually is more of the hero's journey and formulatic shit we're all tired of, with a few exceptions like Malazan (greatest story ever told. Fite me) or Witcher.
    But overall, sci-fi kicks fantasy's ass.
