I always get preoccupied with farms and forget to actually play the game 😅
SAME
Mine is opposite
There is no game
The game isn't just farms?
@@gumbyshrimp2606 I was thinking that last night.. I was fishing and was listening to the splash of the water.. how realistic the extra smaller splashes were as it died down and quieted.. how I would just sit there and everything was in front of me.. I could keep fishing or I could just walk away and keep walking.. I could fight all the monster.. I could build a house.. a village.. I could take pictures of the environment.. the bees.. I don't even have to leave the spawn area!! I can make my favorite food.. or just go sailing into the sunset.. and hit another main of land.. and start over? But it is another life I love to live..
FYI: Skulk can also convert both Netherrack and End Stone. So if you have some excess Netherrack that you just want gone, you can have the Skulk farm just convert it. That’s what I do.
You can just instamine netherrack 🤷🏻♀️
@@GOAT_GOATERSON But you don’t get Exp or Skulk from it
@@thephantomist7199 you do if you convert it to sculk
Oh dang! Thank u ✌️
I see sculk as a portable exp.
fixing Elytra mid journey for example.
I know you did a video on it awhile back when the mechanic was first introduced, but a magma cube frog light farm is really the only farm I'm interested in for 1.19
Frog light farm would be the bomb!
Powder snow is sooo much better. Worth to farm that 25 buckets of snow to make ilmango design. Love that farm. Too fast a bit but that's can't be helped. Only with more storage. Haha
Same
Which froglights are your favourite?
I don't know why everyone seems to be making froglight farms using the bastion spawner. A simple slime farm (iron golem in the middle type) works great in the basalt delta and insanely well on the nether roof. Much easier IMO. The powdered snow to kill the magma cubes down to size 1 is great, but a tip... If you make a complete layer of powdered snow above the frogs they can't jump through it. If you just do the every other block thing I see most folks doing, the frogs can jump really high and actually do damage to themselves as well as just get everywhere.
(Annoyingly, you can't use a honey block floor and have size 2 magma cubes die from the powdered snow... That would have been perfection.)
For the sword challenge, get every 1.19 advancement!

One thing I really wish I'd had when raiding an ancient city is Night Vision Potions; I'm thinking they'll ve almost essential if you want to do more than a quick raid. In which case, you'll probably want a nether wart farm and possibly a carrot farm (though you'll probably just get those from villagers.)
So true
I really like the new blocks in this update, been building with some packed mud. However, though, I like the new mangrove trees, they are torturous to chop down. I also feel like the new cherry coloured wood would have better been suited to the azalea tree and mangrove wood been more of a mossy colour, a blend between birch and warped wood.
Frogs
Frogs
A trick to chopping down Mangrove Trees more easily that I saw Ph1LzA use is to grow the Propagule in kinda deep water. This allows you to swim around more freely and collect what you need, rather than having to tediously tower up through the leaves and roots.
You'd probably want a Conduit or at least an Aqua Affinity and Respiration III Helmet to make it more effecient, though.
@@JonyALB EyecraftMC showed an interesting way to farm Mangroves in his Mangrove video...you basically plant them in a 5x5 area and wood overrides the roots and leaves, so you're left with a huge chunk of wood to mine, and you can just staircase through it. I'd recommend watching the video if any of you haven't seen it.
@@Smokenhothyde Ahh, good call! Didn't know the Wood would replace the Root Blocks, but that sounds like a smart and effecient way to do it. Thanks for the tip!
I love how you always update the starter farms and builds with each new Minecraft update. 💪💪

Imagine afking in a skulk farm and turning an entire biome into skulk
lol nice
There should be an ancient city map from the cartographer
The way i found one is by copying your world and play on creative, search for giant mountain biomes and dig down. It took me like 4 tries after founding one.
Note the coördinats and find it. 😉
@@mike_gusta2994 or just make a copy then use the locate command
@@urbro-s I am on Bedrock PS5 unfortunately....
@@mike_gusta2994 it works on bedrock too! I play bedrock also I'm on nintendo switch just type /locate ancientcity
don't put a space between ancient and city
This was a really good video! Awesome job Wattles👍
i haven't seen the old old survival world in a while! it's good to see it again.

If you do what Mumbo did with the Sculk Catalyst, and add a few smart pistons and a well-clocked stone generator into a mob grinder, you can store so much experience for instant rapid leveling or mending repairs. It gets pretty insane and satisfying when you can just level yourself to 30 or higher in a few minutes tops without going to a Guardian or Enderman farm. And hey, If you build the farm near your base, you don’t even have to leave home.
Warden farm (for those sweet 20xp sculk catalysts). Super easy. Shriekers give off a signal just before the Warden spawns, so have it extend some spawnable blocks (which includes slime) which then get retracted and they fall into a hole.
Or even better, yeet them with the slime they are spawning on. Slime blocks, sticky piston, some redstone dust, an observer, repeater (on 2), and redstone torch. Oh, and some water and minecarts for entity cramming. You'll figure it out ;)
to stop sculk sensors from hearing me, i jump and place wool beneath my feet, kind of like what you do to go quickly on soul sand
Interesting
Thanks wattles for this tips!
Agreed
You know you're a veteran when the only mobs were spiders, zombies, skeletons, creepers, zombie pigmen, and ghasts. Villagers weren't even a thing yet
Not really another farm, BUT a slight improvement in 1.19 to one of the farms mentioned: placing the sugar cane on mud blocks instead of dirt blocks. They're a BIT less than a full block in height, meaning you can place hoppers underneath (rather than hopper minecarts)
agreed
I made a bamboo and sugar cane farm doing this, its so much nicer then a hopper minecart. sure its more expensive but i find hopper minecarts to be a hassle and buggy
Hoppers underneath what exactly?
@@BakrAli10 Underneath the mud blocks
@@JohnNoirSmith oh that's great to know!
How do you harvest the sugar cane though?
Could we combine sculk xp farm with automatic lava stone farm so we don't need to replace any stone manually?
Tysm I learned so much have z nice day or night
Agreed
You forgot about a farm to make night vision potions.
True
Hey Waddles, appreciate you my man!!!
I imagined mud would be a semi water source for crops. Can use for a water source for 2 or 3 cycles/days. Then it drys out and no longer a source ? Makes sense to me
That would be awesome
Sword challenge find a mangrove swamp and return with 2 tadpole buckets
lol nice
If you really want to get creative with the XP farms, use the skulk catalyst with a stone generator farm. Make a sizeable platform using the stone generator, and then have mobs die on it, collect the new skulk blocks for later XP use and you don't have to worry about using up other blocks.
The warden in the gold farm makes sense when I woke up last night to a nightmare of the warden spawning in my base
What if you combine a cobblestone farm with the skulk farm. just stand at one end and mine the skulk as it get's pushed through. the skellies fall on the fresh cobblestone as it get's pushed through.
I found that a witch farm is the easiest way to farm free stacks of bottles for dirt to mud conversion. Really trying to streamline the mud for those bricks.
You could use the blaze rods for fuel for a super smelter or something.
Uh.... that was way better than I was anticipating. Great video!! Thank you
Wasn't expecting to see the first guide world today
Not only is wool good for the warden but its also good for villiver halls so you can make fore valuable trades!
10:01 yes I do remember guide season 1!
Memories
I'd say some kind of semi-automatic mud farm would be a good bet. Basically just lets you make mud afk.
Mud farm
I wounder if you could use sculk like a moss farm where it's broken by the new stone when pushed by pistons making a new way to store xp
Top 100 yurrrrr. Could you do a new video for bedrock tips perhaps sir
also sir do you know if your iron farm works on bedrock or do you know of one that works on bedrock?
@@ASavagejoker look up SilentWhisperer, he makes really good bedrock farms...if you don't need quite as big as he makes them JCPlays is really good as well.
I just made a magma cube farm so I didn't have to go mining for magma blocks for other useful farm builds. Like the gold farm for instance.
Thank you for the great info!
Agreed
Favorite time of the day!
Hi wattles, can you please make a bedrock edition iron farm?
👀
Check out jc playz, his all farms work. My world is filled up with his farms!
@@Sunrit_Mullick unfortunately, he just steals them from other creators. Look up silentwisperer for example.
@@Sunrit_Mullick JC playz doesn’t know what he’s doing and all of his farms suck and/or are stolen
@@thi4877 The main goal here is to get a working farm, IDC whether he steals or not. His all farms work fine. I also love silent, he goes in depth of the working mechanisms and I also love that, no hate to anyone.
Any ideas for using sculk sensors in more farms? Maybe redesign some older ones?🤔
They make a great triggering mechanism that is player reactive as different sounds lead to different power levels. Good for auto lights, auto doors, and certain traps.
@@oaksparoakspar3144 I know how they work and already have like 30 of them but I want to use them for farms or some hidden stairs or something like that, not just automatic lanterns you know?
@@mike_gusta2994 I'm sure there are multiple forms designs utilizing observers that you could swap for a skulk sensor. Similar I'm what they do. React to a change, and send a signal. But sensors are more se sensitive to the surrounding area, not just the block directly in front of them.
@@rhombo323 Basically. You'd want to use wool and comparators to make sure it only reacts to the sounds you want it to, otherwise they might start an endless loop, but skulk sensors can be used in place of observers and BUDs if the change makes sound. They can also be a convenient trigger to transform your mob farm into an XP farm without needing a lever or pressure plate, and even be subbed in to replace ugly tripwires.
What about a mud to clay farm.... make a Mason Trader, trade 10 clay for 1 emerald?
Wattles- A good source of XP, a blaze farm.
The gold farm where he farmed a bunch of XP a moment ago- :(
Hi, I've come from the future just to say that 6 year ahead, 5 more updates, we are awaiting the 6th but still no fireflies
These videos makes our days better
Agreed
As a Bedrock player, yes we do have gold farms. And they are useful. They are made using a maxed sized portal to spawn in the pig zombies and move them via water to where they are, let's say "processed." I mean can you kill what is already dead? Rates aren't as good but I can set one of these up in around 20 minutes if I have my supplies ready to go. And takes a LOT less supplies so...pros/cons.
If you put down a wool block can you put scaffolding on top without causing vibrations?
Interesting
For the Skulk farm, you can just have a Cobblestone Generator nearby and have a auto smelter for stone. Like if you have a Coal Farm, that would be a good use for it.
Mumbo jumbo made a concept farm a long time ago that used a stone generator that is piston pushed completely afk and stored exp
Cool
@@el_t4931 You would require for you to have a Silk Touch Pickaxe, if you don’t have maxed out stuff then it’s better to use furnaces to smelt Cobblestone down.
@@el_t4931 Oh well I did not think of that.
Please Do Bedrock tips as well!
Agreed
If you attach a stone generator to your mob farm + catalyst combo, it’s pure profit

chicken farm to have unlimited eggs which you can throw to distract the warden and lead to the warden hunting down things other than you. also, easiest way to get with roses from a wither rose farm
Gotta have that slime farm for maximum frogage

maybe you could use a cobble generator for the sculk farm
Maybe
Can wait to use these farms in a *NEW UPDATE!!!*
I wasn't sure of what farm to build.

I accidentally reset the chunks that my zombie farm occupied, so I went in search of a skele spawner and made a new farm. It's getting such better rates because I remembered to re-watch your videos first ;)

For those needing a quick fix.
Bottle of enchanting works to fix your gear with mending.
You can get this bottle for 1 emerald if you cure a cleric villager twice.
And even trade 1 berry for 1 emerald with the butcher after curing him twice as well.
EZ
Cool vid
make a stone generator with a piston to move the stone would make that even better.
With my new world I’ve given myself the challenge of no killing neutral mobs and always use renewable resources. I have a bamboo farm and a kelp farm. The bamboo burns the kelp into dried kelp and I use that for smelting and creating charcoal. Of course I always replant the trees I cut down. I’m also making pumpkin pie for food. Mmm
Cool challenge
Soooo....what about your enchanting table...? Gonna silk touch a whole slew of book cases, or enslave a village of librarians to make them give you enchanted books...?
@@firegodessreiko he can just trade with villagers

trapdoor
eggs to make chickens in the chamber
I will use this on July 9 cuz imma start playing Minecraft again that day
Would a differemt cartographer give you a map to a different mansion or are they all the same?
Pretty sure they all just give a map to the closest unexplored mansion
You have to take a brand new villager with you really far then you can trade with the villager once in a new far away place if you want to get a map to a new mansion or explorer map or whatever.
@@williamsastard8830 no, you can use one cartographer you just have to make sure you find the first map location before you buy a new one, I literally just found a monument went back and bought another map and it was to a different location
Packed mud looks like old deepslate 😂
You could use a infinite water source stone generator to ‘refresh’ the stone in your skulk farm after it has been cleared out.
Interesting
Amazing video
True Veg
The gold farm also makes a great afk xp farm due to the entity cramming aspect👍🏼
Warden (sculk catalyst) is the new god of xp farms. *Portable* 20xp per block. Repair your gear or get those few levels for enchanting easily on the go.
They are also extremely easy to build. A bit of fun finding and preparing the location though. Head to a big mountain and you'll probably find a shrieker inside (the one I setup is at y=+41, positive, conveniently near a couple of geodes which need lots of loaded time to regrow)
So will new cartographers have a chance to trade a different map? Or is it based on location?
yeah
"Mud is mud"...that's deep man. 👌
Cool tip: If u place wheat in straight rows it grows faster!
2028 here: kinda weird watching this now. I can't believe mud is already 6 years old. And lol at your skulk farm in the over world when there's literally a skull dimension now
Never mind digging with moss, digging with skulk is the new meta

instead if placing stone it would be more effective to make a stone gennerator and the push the skulk and use an efficiency 5 hoe with mending

Get yourself a Villager with a blast furnace and trade with him until He becomes a Journey man. If He has the Iron trade, (4 Iron to 1 Emerald) make him a Zombie and cure him. Then 1 Iron gets you 1 Emerald. Repeat If you want more of thoose Trading villagers (because of the cooldown) and pair it with an Iron Farm. Boom, Infinite Emeralds.
