Totally agree with you! This is why I don't have a girlfriend and why I am not married! The truth is that the legal system is totally against heterosexual men and total favor of women! Women know that they can easily use the legal system as a weapon against men!
As a woman , my advice is stay professional. Don't touch a woman besides shaking her hand, don't even give compliments. Value their space and they should value yours. Don't gossip, or even try to be clever. Stay a gentlemen, if you pick up the rules of being a gentlemen you can't go wrong. A lot of men in these workplaces are not gentlemen and don't value their female co-workers as equals. That is where sexucal harassment and advances come from. Treat her respect and don't use your professional work space as a place flirt or try to catch. There is a reason why we have hook up and matchmaking sites now.
Anyone who follows your advice literally is going to work in social isolation and fear and never get anywhere in society, or industry, because everything you say not to do I have seen between men, and between women both in the workplace and after work off hours since 1991. Some of the best and innovative ideas we have today are as a result of off hours interaction between me and woman employed at the same companies and in the same industries. It is human nature to be who we are and not exist in ab atmosphere of strangulation by a legal system and fear of attorneys.
I am not saying be isolated, you can have a good relationship with women in the workplace. The problem is that guys should not touch a woman if she does not want to be touched. Have respect it does not take a rocket scientist, and always be a gentlemen. It should not be hard being a gentleman, if it hard for a guy to act a gentleman then morals and etiquette in society has gone downhill.
Don't worry. Just ascertain where the girl's interests are . People who say they aren't perfect are sometimes covering. But a girl who says 'it's abuse' was probably not feeling it, sent that message, and the guy didn't care.

I am secretly recording every meeting I have with any of my female employees. I'm not taking any chances, and when one does come out and makes a false statement, I'm going to sue her into bankruptcy. Too bad the media won't cover that like they cover the allegations against men.

History - Considering how rampant this has been very few women have come forward - Women who are working in low-paying jobs and have to support a family do not come forward - Women who are married and fear the repercussions they could receive from their husbands do not come forward - Disenfranchised women/girls who have no one to help them do not come forward - and the list goes on

I saw Melissa Gilbert not to long ago talking about an audition for some movie that had a sexual scene(s) and was asked to pretend to act out the act. She claims it was sexual harassment... It was completely ridiculous...she had read the script and knew what it entailed beforehand.
If a woman is cornered, forced, or drugged than yes I completely understand! It's no secret many actresses slept their way up the ladder, but some who are now established are jumping on the bandwagon. Sexual harassment claims had been made way before that. It doesn't sound reasonable he went to give her 'career advice', twice, as he claims. It's doesn't gel. While there is no doubt some of these allegations are true, it's equally certain some are patently false. The problem arises that so much time has elapsed it's impossible to prove one way or another. So mens careers and reputations are tarnished and NOTHING happens to the women who make false accusations. Maybe it's time we re-thought this. Go back to the old way. INNOCENT till proven guilty. It's good enough for everyone else, just NOT MEN accused, I said ACCUSED of impropriety with women.
