Liberal: You can only avoid shaking someone's hand if you have a valid reason.
Muslim: My reason is my religion.
Liberal: But religion is a choice.
Muslim: So because my religion is a choice, therefore, it is not a valid reason to avoid shaking someone's hand?
    Liberal: Yes.
Muslim: Why - are you not a liberal? By your standard, I am allowed to do whatever I want so long I am not physically harming anyone else.
    Liberal: [SILENCE]

Whenever I see a brother with marks on his forehead from prayer and submission I cant help but feel so happy for him and wish good for him and how it reminds me how neglectful I have been. Make dua for me.. May Allah(swt) guide us all.

Shaking the hands of females and Muslim females not shaking the hands of men is actually a sign of ultimate respect. A Muslim doesn't touch something that doesn't belong to him and if hes really on his deen he shouldn't even be looking at something that doesnt belong to him. Its actually a very high form of respect to the opposite gender and this is the kind of lengths Islam goes to to create great character for people. In that NOT touching and gazing at forbidden things (like a woman that doesn't belong to you) is an extremely high position of character and something we try to practice. Only if they truly knew why we did it I think they would be fascinated.

What I don’t understand is why we have to justify what our religion teaches us. Why do we have to explain and justify something which needs no justification whatsoever. They argue with us as if we’re doing something abnormally obnoxious, wheres it’s simply basic teachings, and like brother Hijab said, our choice. We’re not harming anyone. Just following Allah’s command.

Salam Aleykum, dear S.A.L.A.M, I have been following Muhammad Hijab, Adnan Rashid, Ali Dawah, Ahmad Subboor and etc. approximately 2 years. They are amazing people, the importance of your job and projects is valuable. PLEASE, ONE BIG REQUEST - MAKE RUSSIAN SUBTITLES or synchronous voice translation. Why? Because - Millions russian speaker Muslims live in - Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kirgizistan, Tadjikistan, Georgia, Chechnya, Dagestan, Belarus, Moldova, Mongolya and etc., All of people that live there are bilingual, second language is Russian. In all above mentioned countries there is not such progressed Muslim like you with wide point of view. Please, TAKE THIS MESSAGE IMPORTANT, Russia speakers Muslims are not small number in world. You very good know the underdevelopment level of muslims of Post Soviet Countries. Thanks.

Good arguments from both sides, but unfortunately we have some Muslims living in the West that have a tendency to exaggerate our religion, we sound like we "own" our religion instead of acting as representatives or ambassadors.

Asslamu alaykum akhi, I think you need to have a detailed discussion on the far right, hopefully with a academic in this field.. a non Muslim academic, so no one can accuse us of partiality.
