Hi, for first time visitors with 2 and 5 yo and 70 year old senior, which Island is the best in terms of being relaxed, not many people, opportunity to drive and explore and hike? Thanks
Hi Harry, thanks for your note. Please refer your friends and family to my travel channel, RUclips.com/getawayguru, and ask them to subscribe. Good to hear from you! CFM forever!
Here's a bonus tip: whilst everyone thinks of Honolulu when they think of Hawaii, there are a number of smaller cities which are just as beautiful as Honolulu but aren't filled with tourists meaning you actually have the beach to yourself, don't pay top dollar for hotels and airfares, etc. In particular I'm thinking of Kona and Hilo on the big island! And if beach isn't enough for you how about an active volcano, at Maunea Kea near Hilo?
Hi j2, thanks for your note. You are absolutely right about visiting some of the smaller and out of the way towns and villages. For volcanoes, Mauna Loa is active right now.
Thank you for your kind note. We actually have two Linda's in our Bountiful office and they are both wonderful. I will pass on your kind remarks and sentiments. Have you subscribed to my travel channel, the "Getaway Guru,"? If not, please do so. Thanks
The best place in Hawaii to visit is determined by your personal preferences. Whilst you are likely to get some rain year round, April and May are delightful months as the winter rains are gone and the summer crowds of people have not arrived. Avoid "Spring Break" which is usually late March and early to mid- April when Hawaii gets crowded. Thanks!
Hello. We found you on RUclips. We are also from salt lake. Do you still work? If so are you in the woods cross office? We want to come in and get help planing a Hawaii trip. Thank you.
Hi Robb, thank you for your note. Yes, I am still working non-stop in the travel business with MORRIS COLUMBUS TRAVEL. See: www.morriscolumbus.com. I work in both our Bountiful office (563 West 500 South, suite 180) and our Salt Lake City office (101 South 200 East, Suite 100). If I am not available when you drop by, kindly ask any of our Hawaii specialist travel advisors to help you. You can also catch my every Saturday on my "Travel Show" radio broadcast, 11am to 1pm MT. The show is syndicated, but in the SLC area tune in to KNRS, 105.9FM and 570 AM. Thanks!
I just saw your ad on KSL daytime show with David Osmond. Interested in the Hawaii trip you mentioned... 2 people for 1099. I subscribed and turned on notifications. I don't see a place for a video about that particular trip. I don't see a place for a thumbs up after viewing the video about Hawaii. I guess I will call your number.
Hi Valeni, thank you for your note. I appear on KUTV Channel 2 "Fresh Living" every other Tuesday and on the Noon News every Monday about 12:15pm. The Hawaii to Tahiti cruise is 13-night cruise, May 19-31. Cruise fares vary according to the cabin category you select. I think (don't quote me) that the starting rate is about $2800 per person plus cruise taxes. That may seem like a lot, but for two weeks in the South Pacific it is a bargain. The special airfare is "Buy One, Get One Free" for SLC-Hawaii and return home Tahiti-SLC. The fist person pays $1099 and the second person flies free. This gives you an effective rate of $550 per person. As I mentioned on TV today, it is a one time and one time only cruise into the heart of Polynesia.
