This series is why is subscribed. After watching Minecraft content since the beginning, I too am middle-aged, I can say this is easily one of the best. I'm also very jealous of your design skill.
Not sure if you have Quark in your modpack, but Quark adds an item called a Trowel that will randomly place from a selection of blocks on your hotbar. Could be useful for your detailing. Also, love the series so far, keep up the amazing work ❤
For the empty space at the end of your railloop (24:41) might I suggest a Signall control tower of some sort. It's pretty standard at bigger railyard to have a good view over the whole yard and be able to control switches, schedule etc.
As a builder for couple of years, i would recommend to build some kind of water tower in the middle of the rails. (Role play reason: water refilling for trains). Keep doing, love the series.

You could build a large custom tree in the track roundabout! Love the series, there's so much effort, yet it's also so chill! You can feel that this man is passionate!
That little gap in the yard would be a great spot for a signal box or yard tower, IRL they'd be where the station master would control train traffic going through

I'm getting the Sims vibe just from watching this series as I watch along with everyone. Haven't played it for so long now, don't know if wanted to get back to it now as I'm busy everytime now. But watching/listening to as I work get me to relaxed for a bit.
Love the series, trains has always been one of my childhood favorites. Maybe you can add villagers to the passenger train to seem like it's always of use. Kindof like you did with the logs on the logging train. Also an idea for the empty space for the storage can be a spot where guards can hang out. I mean it's an storage area after all can't let just anyone in. Keep up the great work and hope many more adventures comes your way.

Incredible episode and this has by far been one of my favourite series I've followed! I would love to see some small details to be added around to push forward some immersion into the world, like some houses in empty space or some spaces for theoretical workers to have a break (like a small park in the large bend next to the warehouse), especially if you want a break from larger projects to do some work on smaller buildings (something I do whenever I get too overwhelmed with a project)
Idea - when you will be building factory for cobble, clay etc (crushing etc) will you be also building quarry somewhere and train will be providing stone to that factory? Love the series.
And then there is my storage, 13 double chests and 17 drawers. As you can see I am very organised and never, ever, spend 7 minutes finding my minecarts, I just craft new ones
By far the best Minecraft RUclips series I've ever watched... I've been watching Minecraft series way back to original tekkit videos. This is by by far the best and my favourite.. please keep this going for a while
love the series so far, and just a suggestion, you could add the Quark mod, it adds a ton of quality of life stuff, like more block choices, an inventory sorting button, and a trowel where it takes any block from your hotbar for automatic texturing, also a ton of other vanila+ type of stuff
This create series is great and I have a cool build idea for when you make the mining town instead of having a regular train have a narrow gauge track meet up with the main train layout and lay the town in the mountains so it requires the narrow gauge to function
I think that loop at the end would be a perfect place for a water tower. Purely aesthetic, unless a use can be made of it, but it'd be awesome looking I think
Maybe a nice, big tree in the center of that rail loop? With some benches around the trunk, so the workers at the storage facility can take their breaks in the shade. That sounds nice~

So, in that akward circle with dirt by the warehouse. You could build some sort of statue of maybe yourself, or maybe build a small old crashed locomotive
I think a water tower in that open area where the track curves around could be a fun little touch of detail. It wouldn't really have to have a real purpose, but it could look cool!
nice! i feel like the second level of the warehouse should look like a wrought iron mezzanine! also crates and barrels randomly placed around the outside of the warehouse would add some visual interest! love the series!

You could add a pipe that swings out to "fill the locomotive with water" whenever it connects to the storage if you want to add some flare to the outside of the building

On the extra area of the warehouse instead of making "sticky-outy" bits you could make an awning with some storage crates under it to make it look like a loading dock.
dude this series has genuinely saved me. ive been playing create with a couple other mods and create addons with my partner for a few months, and was starting to get really sad that i've spent so much time just not really doing anything. watching your videos have given me SO MANY ideas and has given me a new vision for create, and now im on the verge of binging minecraft for like a month because of it. the only drawback is that a few of the cool mods in your series aren't available for me to yoink on fabric :( cant wait to see what you do next! here's to a wonderful world and many good builds!! :)
Signal box at the loop, its like like a small builder where a worker would be able to change the signals and track switches for trains on the same line. Ofc yours would most likely be cosmetic
Hey Mr Beard, you could possibly put a couple create fluid tanks in the loop in the yard and then pipe it over to the warehouse for when you have a lava train or any other fluid train. Could also run the pipes over the tracks on some scaffold possibly to the second floor.
Something you could do in that small area, is make a small little building for a train controller, like the humans in Thomas the train. Amazing series, btw, and can't wait to see all the massive machines you'll make.
Ah, Dill. From a long line of short lived pickles. Oh, I hadnt considered doing trains for my personal area storage transit....i will have to look into it! As a fun note, the drawer controller slaves also are areas you can input into your drawer storage. So it leaves a lot of fun options for different connection points for your farms. Definitely gets some wild chute configurations if you use a few different drop off points that just auto sort to your main drawers. 😊
One thought of something to add would be a gantry crane. Even without it being powered it would look cool as if its the one unloading all the trains. Giving it power so it idly moves back and forth would make the yard feel alive.

I like your create series so much and i watch every episode the day it comes out. Maybe you could build an andesite and brass factory or maybe you could build a factory that makes create things on its own.

Add a semi designated rail crossing in the store floor by lowering some blocks to slabs and marking it

That little round empty area needs an oldie world silo. Either like a water tower propped up on girders or a full grain type silo.
Instead of setting up a new farm at your base you should set up an automated one the train runs to, bring back product and makes it into a food.
