In my late teens & 20s my friends and I would do shrooms, Isd, and ecstasy occasionally. Good times! All were positive, fun, spiritual experiences. But, it's been decades. I don't know anyone who knows anyone who can get psychedelics from. I live in LA & there's a Kush store three blocks from my house, but I can't function alone on weed. I wish they sold psilocybin gummies. I'm a little depressed & a little anxious on a regular basis. I'm not a big drinker and I hate taking pills. A bite or two of a chocolate bar, or a cup of mushroom tea everyday would be a godsent for me.
The Trips I've been having really helped me a lot. I’m now able to meditate and I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well

People expect that the person they knew is what returns; but that's just the physical form, and I felt like the person they knew was already dead.... because that's not what came home. A buddy of mine called me one night, and he was a fellow marine, who intervened. I detoxed from technology and went into the wilderness for a few weeks; and although it wasn't an immediate fix, it was something that pulled me out of it. His exact words were, "Eating a mushroom is a hell of a lot healthier than eating a bullet. Give it a few weeks and reconsider it.".
Massive respect for having the courage to do something you knew would force you to face the trauma and learn to deal with it. Stories like yours are priceless and I hope you tell it freely to whoever asks.

It makes me feel better knowing we have more safe spaces to talk about the positive benefits of psychs today and it is becoming increasingly less and less "taboo" to talk about in the first place. Keep on pushing the message and opening the doors for others who may have not considered psychs before and may benefit from them.
I truly believe ( I’m far from a hippy) that if everyone took shrooms we would be so far better off. It teaches you a lot about compassion and patience with one another. Shrooms truly made me a more open minded person and an overall better person
I loved acid and shrooms. Only did em about 10 times total, never had a bad trip. But the last time I took shrooms it launched me directly into a manic episode. I didn't sleep for 6 days, stopped eating, wrote an absolutely demented manifesto and ended up in a quackaloon factory. So I can't do that shit anymore. But all in all, it was pretty dang good time
