To be honest, I still find X-Plane's Better Pushback a lot more user friendly than this. The Better Pushback planning map is far better designed and the top down view (rather than oblique view) really helps.
Totally. I wish it is that simple
As far as the view, you can adjust it per your liking. Edit mode will take you to drone camera mode. I do agree with you that better pushback is much easier. In this GSX Pro they have accounted for custom passenger routes as well and hence it is more complex, but very rewarding once you get the hang of it.
@@optiled Try Toolbar Pushback.
Edit: Doesn't work together with GSX Pro tho :(
Absolutely NOT. I find GSX Pushback a lot more customizable and realistic
In terms of pushback toolbar pushback pre planed pushback is better than GSX pushback.
In my opinion xplane's pushback tool and gsx are both native in their own ways. While we can all agree that better pushback is simple and easy to use, gsx has tried to keep its interface as close to what p3d users have grown accustomed to with the hope that new customers will adapt. While getting around gsx can be challenging, I think it possesses some cool features that once one gets accustomed to, brings a level of satisfaction to the sim.
I agree with you, GSX Pro can't be compared to better pushback in my opinion. GSX Pro is a payware product that simulates the entire ground operations and passenger movement on the ground. Better pushback is just pushback, but done well, and is free.
Thanks fot the video Sam, I have't had a chance to check it out. But this video made the learning curve a little less. Hope you are doing well my friend.
Hey there Shane, I am doing great, hope you are the same. Glad this has helped =)
Thank you for this tutorial, I wouldnt have understood anything since the key commands are not even listed in the manual.
P.S. using the F-keys is a mess. This is really 90s style. In the year 2022, a mouse-only solution like BetterPushback should be used.
Overall, GSX is too buggy, although the functionality itself is promising. Needs some more weeks of work.
GSX isn't the problem, users not knowing what they are doing is the problem. Also, it is in the manual, so perhaps English isn't your language.
I recommend using the 5 numpad to automatically add 2 waypoints at each end. ;)
Ii really miss the click and set.
I'm not able to change the camera when choose option 4, The view keeps fixed on the aircraft and can't see the waypoints :(
I have the same issue since when i'm installed the Fs2 crew.
Did you find the problem? Did you solve it?
@@markizord TBH i don’t remember how this was solved, what I’m sure about is updated GSX Pro ans removed F2w
How do you change the pushback car ? Like the one who plugs automatically to the wheel nose .
So unrelated but how did you customize the tow truck for the Fenix A320? I've been trying to get the tow bar for it but no success, can only get it on the PMDG.
It is automatic. I didn't customize anything really.
I can pan camera via 4 6 8 2, how can i move camera?
After I press enter the tug won’t push me, how do I fix this? 😊
This is going to be so hard in VR. I probably won’t buy it yet, it’s really hard to make a universal ground service addon, there’s too many variables
I don't have VR, but yes I think it might be difficult to control it.
@@Q8Pilot when I was flying in VR in X-Plane I just used the default one. I had default scenery so it should of been smart enough
I really don't know how to get these nice top down views so I can actually use this tool. I tried all the camera views, but none looks like the one in your video, so I simply can't see what I need to edit. Any advice ?
Hey Soren, when you enable edit mode, you are in Drone Camera mode. You can use your "W A R F S" and numbad to move the camera around exactly how you wish.
@@Q8Pilot Thanks a lot, I totally missed the drone camera controls in the manual, I was probably to eager to get started. But thanks to your answer, setting up pushback is now nice and easy 🙂
@@srenbohn4904 You are most welcome. Glad all worked out well for you!
is there a way to get a Top Down view rather then the skewered view, I am hurting my neck trying to follow the waypoints..what were they thinking
Yes you are basically in drone mode. You can set the view the way you wish and save your neck the pain.
Operating the drone camera is hard for you? ROFLMAO
if i have my audio module control unit in my pestestal can i pushback from the radio?
I am not sure, but don't think so.
Is there a list for keyboard commands for GSX
Read the manual
Very unfortunate that by adding way points the path of pushback resets.
The best way is to add all the waypoints first, then cutomize the positions. That way you don't have to make changes to already established waypoints. Thanks for watching!
over engineered and over complicated if you ask me! Just give us a graphical UI. I already have keys (important ones) mapped to some of these binds and don't want to mess about with that to accommodate this. Ridiculous!
better pushback in xplane is more simple and easy to use.
I can not hear the voices of the ground crew during pushback anymore I don’t know what happened I just wanted to ask if anyone knew what to do? thank you.
Go to GSX settings and select your default audio device again from the list. Sometimes it gets changed for some reason.
@@Q8Pilot the gsx settings are at 100% and also on the sound mixture, I am also not quite sure where to find that in the settings, Thank you so much for the help!
How can i edit the Amount of Pax ? E.G. the 737-600 hasnt 264 Pax.
The best way is to enter you Simbrief ID and let GSX get it from your plan.
@@Q8Pilot thanks when is the time, gsx pro uses simbrief ?
@@sneaky_lari6377 from day one
how to save postion push back
You can use "Customize this Aircraft Position" from the GSX menu and then click enter. The new positions will be saved. Reload the airport once done, and all vehicles will be where you had set them.
they really didnt take tkl keyboards into account when making this
How about a dialog box with buttons instead of remembering commands… not satisfied with gsx. A feeeware mod has an easier pushback then this.
after you do a few than you will remember the keys
is too complicated memorize all those keys binds, the freeware pushback helper is easier to use and more intuitive
Well I tried it with the fenix sim. The menu tab would not appear in VR. Coming out of vr menu worked but it drove vehicles through the wings. Fuelling a complete mess. CTD four times
What a rip off. By the way no support email address only a forum that I was unable to join owing to ridiculous security and captcha protocols
By far the worst add on that I have used thus far
GSX Pro is borken needs alot of fixing
for anyone having issues with ERROR: Could not find valid AFCAD Data at this position, services are not available...check to see if you have this: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe. If you do delete it. it worked for me!!
