Just amazing! Bob's video's are simply a treat to watch! His videography is always interesting - he films things in the park you have seen many times before, but from a fresh perspective. The timing is excellent. He films the same coaster from a number of vantage points in the park and edits it together seamlessly so that it just seems like you are watching the coaster - not multiple shots from all over. He comes up with new ways to show previous material from other years (e.g., the deceased rides headstones). I always look forward to his Halloweekends videos the most of all his videos to see, again, the videography and then also the editing and titles/special effects. Bob's Cedar Point Halloweekends video is simply a "treat" and not a "trick"!
Thanks for the warm and thoughtful review, Daniel -- I truly appreciate it! I love creating these videos and it's all worth it when I receive such a nice response. Thanks again!
Bob, you are most welcome! Just wanted to make sure you know that all your hard work is truly appreciated! I grew up in Detroit, so Cedar Point was easy to get to. Loved the old (deceased) rides (Fun House, Earthquake Ride, Pirate Ride, Frontier Lift, etc). We are from the same era I suspect. I love the current Cedar Point as well - it's just harder to get to from Colorado where I live now. My point is, your videos allow me to stay connected to a place I love. It's wonderful! So keep doing what your doing because there's a bunch of us who would love to be right there with you and can't. Because of what you do - your videos - we can! And we can be there in masterful style because of how you do it! I can't thank you enough. Dan
I enjoy your videos SO MUCH!!! You take great care in every detail. Your footage is extraordinary. I am a lifelong Cedar Point fan girl (50 yrs old) born and raised near Sandusky,Ohio. Cedar Point means so much to me, especially since I live in California now. I miss it so much and your amazing videos take me back to the best times of my life at Cedar Point. Thank you Bob. 😃❤️
Thanks, V P, I really appreciate your kind words. I'm in my mid-50's, grew up in Sandusky and worked at CP for 7 seasons, and that area has special meaning to me, too. Glad I can help you keep somewhat connected!
radical builds absolutely. Six Flags Magic Mountain is fantastic!! Their coasters are amazing as well. Disneyland is fun, but the coaster selection is meh. Sea world San Diego is great. Haven't been to Knottsberry farm yet. Cedar Point is in its own league though. Truly a perfect 10😊
+V P yeah. cedar point halloweekends is not the best cedar fair haunt, but is still fun. you should try california's great america halloween haunt and knot t s scary farm. they are pretty good, six flags s magic mountain fright fest is alright. but not on a haunt subject they are all amazing parks
Another fantastic video, Bob! I've been a long time lurker of your videos and they continue to amaze me! I love how you film throughout the day and capture the park as the sun is setting. The way you capture the ride silhouettes is always a treat. Keep up the good work!
Another o~u~t~s~t~a~n~d~i~n~g video Bob. Although I still cannot believe that is almost Halloween already. I can remember watching the Opening Day video like it was yesterday. The summers fly by faster than our favorite coasters. Thanks for sharing this super footage and top notch editing~ Rob/Boston
I don't like halloweekends @ cedar point so i just focus on all the roller coasters. i also heard that dragster is gonna be closed for the rest of the season. and its my favorite ride.
CoasterBob62 that sure brings back great memories. Made my parents ride it when we would get there and before we left lol. Great job with the videos. I look forward to them!
I was there 2 weekends ago one of the workers told me something about the launch pad needing replaced because it melted, you can look it up search top thrill dragster down on google itll give more of an explanation. However she said by the time it wouldve gotten fixed the season would already be almost over so it's just down till next year unfortunately.
Hey did you hear about the potential incident about Top Thrill Dragster's Launch Cable broken pieces? It was something about colliding with a brake fin there's even a news article about it
i saw the photos on one of the fb's groups the brake fins burned and snapped into million pieces the cable wasn't locked in correctly after overnight maintinece and when they launched tested before the park opened it never slowed down and ripped and burned the brake fins have to be entirely replaced i give that ride maybe 3 years left
There ride is too much of a centre piece. Cost of operating it is far outweighed by its icon status and world wide mass appeal. Sometimes shit happens with anything mechanical and yes it makes an expensive mess. If worst come to worst it could get a new launch system that might be more reliable.
that ride doesnt have a diffarent launch design if it keeps up that ride will be gone by 2021 its too much money to keep maintaining its down more then its opened and it just had a dangrous accident parks not gonna keep spending money like that is it could be gone by 2021 if they keep having major issues with its no longer worth it

Thanks, buddy - I appreciate it. Yeah, this summer flew by...only 4 more weekends left :(
Right as I got this notification, we just got in line for Valravn!😂😄
Tony Clark in the parade! 😂 Brilliant footage as always!
Thanks! Yes, I was able to find Tony once again.
I don't like halloweekends @ cedar point so i just focus on all the roller coasters. i also heard that dragster is gonna be closed for the rest of the season. and its my favorite ride.
Yeah, I felt bad that I couldn't get Dragster in action for you. Good thing is, they're gonna get it fixed and ready for next season.
i actually got to ride it twice in the front row on the last day the park was open. it was very cold but it was still an awesome ride!
5:12 best shot of Valravn WOW Excellent video :D
Thank you! I just checked out your scary Thorpe Park video. Nicely done as usual.
I love Halloweekends we went this weekend we go each year 💖
I've been waiting for this! Thank you for the great videos!
You're welcome -- thanks for watching!
First one! HalloWeekends at Cedar Point rock's!
Went last weekend and the TTD, Valravyn, and Maverick were ALL DOWN !! Not like CP on a busy weekend !
amazing footage! wish the scare zones were open.... any kings island haunt vids coming soon
I'll eventually post a KI Haunt video...just not sure when.
Just curious. The wizard at 4:54 wasn't that originally the one that was right inside the doorway on the Earthquake ride? He predicted the earthquake.
CoasterBob62 that sure brings back great memories. Made my parents ride it when we would get there and before we left lol. Great job with the videos. I look forward to them!
Great Video Bob, Thank You!
Is the dragster out of operation for an extended period of time?
Thanks! Unfortunately, TTD looks like it's done for the season.
What is happening there is with TTD?

Mr CrashBandicoot noooo please I don't want it to close it really is a good ride and I might ride it on 2018

are you going to visit Kings Island again this season?
Yes, I'll eventually make a Haunt visit, and then again at least once more for Winterfest.
