For everyone asking about Sons of The Forest: I'm in the process of working on it right now. We're attempting to be one of the (If not THE) first channels to have a 100 day video out on it. Playing on normal difficulty with normal time settings so it's gonna be about 60 hours of raw footage to work with. Goal is to have it COMPLETED AND PUBLISHED by Saturday March 4th at the absolute latest!

I absolutely love the character choices in the journals. The Devs made Bruno based off of the film about a gay man name Bruno. The girl who has a classified journal is an asian stereotype with the voice acting.

For future reference, should you ever give raft another try... don't make your starting raft so big. Usually, I don't like telling folks how to design their rafts, but when you're just beginning, materials are precious. A 4x4, 5x5 raft can take care of plenty. If you place two walls somewhere along the center of it, you can then hang various items from the walls to save floor space. The bed can be hung from the wall, the small grills, storage boxes, the flag for seeing which way the wind is blowing, torches. After which you can wrap the raft with resource nets, which will do all your basic gathering for you. With the wall put up, you'll also have a starting point to build a second floor for your receiver and antennas, as well as having cover to protect you from the bird and his rocks.

Gotta love that struggle at the start of the game with the birds… also a nice tip my mom of all people gave me was when I kill that shark to give it more time in between each of its spawns just get the shark meat but leave the head still on so you get the 4 shark meat off of it but leave the head that you get and then you’ll have to wait for the items in the shark to seaplane and wait for its little respawn timer
Not me with my face in my hands listening to Predz try to fight the bear when all he had to do was give it berries and then go into into its cave while it was distracted.
The sail is a limited steering device, it won't add speed and can't push the raft against the wind. As such, multiple sails won't have any effect. Sailing perpendicular to the wind will result in very slow speed, but allows the player to sail almost sideways of the wind
The birds are a lot easier if you jump and dodge the rocks and fire the arrows when they've landed to reload, they stay on the ground for a good 5/6 seconds :) relatively easy rinse and repeat
those fuckin birds, man. first time i ran into one, i hadn't unlocked the bow yet and only had wooden spears, so i had to find the spot the bird went to re-arm itself with its rock (it's the same every time), bait it to drop, then dash over to poke it while it was stuck on the ground. also, you are a braver man than i for actually taking down mama bear. I just fed it berries to distract it then snuck into its cave. i might be bad at combat XD great vid, came for the shark hunting, subbed for donkey teabagging lol
Pro tip: if you wait ~50 seconds in the water then press escape, there should be a button that says Unstuck. If you press it, you just get sent back to the raft.
The fact that he lost all his items fighting the mama bear even tho he'd be fine walking around it if he hadn't attacked it bc it just keeps eating those berries
Cool thing but i dont get why you didnt build any catchers for things floating in the water earlier i mean these things basically enable steamrolling. more collectors more resources. Basically passive farming while exploring islands ands p.o.i.´s
Do you know if you stand in front of the berry basket where the mama bear was looking you could just stay there and you could fighter cause she gets confusing. Try to run at you.
Good video, very chill and enjoyable. But the audio balancing and editing could have been better.. especially the notes portions. Man did I struggle to hear whatever was being said.
As far as I know, The Forest kinda reaches that and the sequel too. I do prefer scenarios like the one depicted in Fallout though, just bc is kinda easier to believe due to human nature + nuclear weapons being a real thing
hey.. can the shark break the last block if u only have one left? cos the world moves and the raft doesnt from what i hear.. so wouldnt that break the game? and if the last block cant break whats to stop u just building up and then having a bunch of platforms above the water to place stuff on and just live in an elevator of sorts?
