Ring 5 is Jay Chou - Nocturne The back cover for the P168C is a black back cover with a glossy fake antenna ,mimicking the iPhone 2G. There was another version of the P168C that actually says “iFone” on the back with a tomato logo with a bite. The back text for this version of the P168C says “Notce: iFone is the world mark registered by TOMOTO inc in Taiwan. Waring:It will break the law without authorized by TOMOTO inc., If you use "iFone" logo on any etectronic products.” (Yes all the spelling mistakes are actually on the phone itself lol) I also have a P168, but it’s the original model from 2007. It has some spelling mistakes on the back. The back text says “Notice:iPhone is the world mark registered by Apple Inc in USA. Waring: It will break the law without authorized by Apple Inc., if you use "iPhone" logo on any electronic pruducts.” It also has an Apple logo. The leaf on the Apple is reversed which is quite funny. UI is completely different, and has more of an Apple theme to it.
I remember seeing really high quality iPod clones back in the late 2000s that actually worked with iTunes I imagine they lifted the iOS from a genuine iPod. Would love to find one of them.
@Netsuni i just remeber seeing them there was also a video here on youtube with someone showing one of them don't recall how long ago that was but it's possible it was manufactured from official parts such as recycled refurb internals or stolen parts from a production line in china where they are made. i honestly do not know just remember them existing.
Just saw it pop up and can allready tell, i think it has some kind of mediatek in there. I'mma watch it later cuz i'm feeling sleepy. Edit: the fact this phone could've had 6 speakers is quite something but still sounded so tinny, nothing can beat the DJ phone, maybe one day it's gonna happen.
Release the EP Smorez so we can hear it properly. Edit: Also those were some nice ringtones despite how tinny the speakers were. Imagine the 6 speaker version.
29:16 (Ring 3) - I think that's a theme song for HK series from 1987. The song itself and the series is called 倩女幽魂 or English name is .... A Chinese Ghost Story, which is such a generic name. I don't know what you will do with this clearly very useful information... but you're welcome, I guess?
OMG. The memories. My aunt bought one of these when I was in middle school, and after she used it and realized it was shit she gave it to me. I played several MINUTES of majong on the thing. I tried to find the specific model on google but obviously it's hard to find a specific iPhone clone from 2007..
23:32 I've heard this "music" before. It's used in a lot of games on cheap knockoff phones from the era. It reminds me of the CrazyBus theme but it's even worse because it's just a short clip that loops over and over. I don't know how anyone took a listen to that and thought "yeah, that'll work". Genuinely one of the most appalling tracks I've ever heard, beating even tracks that are designed to be bad.
7:54 Wow those graphics are sooooo late 2000, I love it. 17:38 Definitely nostalgic from the perspective of 2000s flip phone or cheap digital cameras for sure. I dunno about 80s/90s. It's a very digital look. Maybe like 80s/90s home movies, if the frame rate were better. 20:26 Oh wow that media player UI. I miss that sort of look too. 28:49 That DDR butterfly song that's on EVERY bootleg device. But made a bit legally distinct. The phone might be the same resolution of the iphone 2G. Even that was 320x480. Although yeah if this is 240x320 then jeeeez. But that was the common flip phone screen res. The crummy speakers were honestly pretty standard for the time. Even flagships had butt speakers, but maybe this was exceptionally worse.
@ it should be an unbranded Galaxy s3 fake but when you remove the battery (where it says the Model) it should say I9377,I own that clone but I confirm that’s a good clone because it has 4 multitouch
ring 1 sounds like a half assed techno arrangement of that song that goes "every sha-la-la-la-la, every woa-oh-oh", i forgot the name of it. But you are right it's some snatched hit, just from the 70s not the 00s :-)
My first ever phone was something like that. The UI is mostly the same, it came with that Magic Sushi game. Speakers were loud, it came with a stylus, had an antenna for a TV and Radio (yes, TV but as long as you were close to a satellite dish) It was a good phone until moisture got to it and began bugging out.
My first touch phone was a similar clone, but surprisingly had DVB-M decoding and so I was able to see TV on the go. Despite the janky UI, the device was actually _really usable_ and going to a proper device (LG cookie fresh) was actually a downgrade.
@@AlexandruLipan yeah, I get that. Mine was actually like a PDA, forgot to mention that. It had both a regular keypad as well as a touch screen. The screen was obviously bigger than the buttons but yeah, it was nice.
Fun Fact Reminder: On some MTK Device For Funeral Service Is Always Ring 2. And To know if there is MTK Funeral Service Ring 1 That Have Like Annoying sound 😂
Great video. Enjoyed every minute of it. Apple certainly k ew how to market their products so the clones also have to have something that could be classed as quality. I have started to think that those who made these clone phones had pride in their products as well. So back in 2007 this would be an OK or good phone. With some of the added bits I started to draw an analogy between big companies these days and European traders travelling the islands trading beads and gegaws to the natives trying to impress them and convince them that these beads etc had real value. Weird how somethings never change, just the people and the products. Lol 😂 I did like the camera and video tests. The Devine Ms Ripley is as beautiful as ever. Some photos could have been improved by being in the shade lol, but I got where you were coming from. The times I took over exposed photos as a kid lol. But yes looking back at photos from the 70's and 80's do look different to today. Music test. Well what can I say. Your ears hurt and so did mine and I'm already a tad deaf. Lol The phones from the past trued so hard to be as many things as possible but neglected to be very good in those areas. Ipods and mp3 players were still preferable over these, but having everything in one device was very pleasing. I've never been called Stevo but I'll take the compliment lol. Some of the tones and sounds were so funny. They are a bit like those beads I mentioned earlier. It's look at what this can do. It's adds value to your experience. 😂 I did like the teardown. They 2 speakers looked as those the phone was a computerised owl. Well it made me smile. Ok small things amuse. Which brings me to the onscreen comments. They really do make me smile or snort laughing. I do have to watch each video a couple of times as I can miss the comments out as there is so much to take in at first. Still liking your nickname nickname. Going to wish you an early very Happy Birthday. Oh to be 32 again, I'm 62 in March lol. But the good news is I'm still as young minded as I was. The bad news once you pass 30 the memory goes. It's odd words during random sentences, then maybe spellings. Then people's names. These are the joys for you to look forward to. In the meantime I wish you a very Mery Christmas & a Happy New Year ❤
