i compress kick 2:1 so very little slighty higher for bass. But still little then i group them together with percusion then compress as a whole to glue but again very little like 3:1 with a soft knee and i play with realise and atk and focus on percusion NOT kick and bass....little by little and all of the above, i like dynamics its sounds more organic

look for a plugin called "bazzism", you can create any kick, in any key you want.
