Thanks for your comments. Thats a great question. Dont think there is a need to swap between Poly and Zoom. In case you have a Zoom account on your device you should be able to dial also to Teams via ReaConnect actually it should even show a "join" button. Does that work? I'll soon do a new video on Zoom experience and will take this with me...
In Poly mode, where does the meeting calendar come from? Is it joined to an Outlook Room Calendar? Does it then recognize which meetings are Zoom and which are Teams, etc. and launch the proper service?
Hi John, you are correct in Poly mode the Studio X Calendar should be connect to free One Touch Dial Cloud service which will make sure that any Zoom, Teams or Webex invite (via outlook) will present a "join" button on the TC8 touch panel. Be aware it will use H.323 and/or SIP in Poly mode so you need to have this information in your outlook invite. The alternative is device/usb mode and use your laptop as video client for a specific video platform. See my other videos specific about One Touch Dial for Teams Zoom etc..

The Zoom App will be G7500/X30/X50 software update to 3.0 in December and later in 2020 also other video Apps will follow hardware ready for the future.... personally I am getting more and more exited with these next gen endpoints..
Also, any idea where I might find a pdf manual for the X30/X50? I've already contacted Poly for a demo unit (we might purchase if it means that we can get it quicker) but I'd really like to get a look at a manual ASAP. Thanks!
Thanks for your message. Normally documentation should be posted on support.polycom.com otherwise underway. You can also use the G7500 docs as a reference if you want as its running exact the same software and management ui as the Studio X Series...

Good question. You are correct today its via CVI RealConnect its free of charge with any Poly Endpoint. We also soon expect the Teams App on X30-X50 then you can also use it native without RealConnect. Most optimal would then be to use it with Touch Screen simple to push join when walking in and / or whiteboard...etc

No problem with the s/n the partner can still order this for you at no additional costs. We have a demo system setup (X30) & have discovered that you need the Realconnect license to get the One-touch dial (OTD) but we have discovered that you cannot join another person's Zoom meeting unless they also pay for the H.323/SIP Room Connector which is an extra $50/mo. Also the RealConnect is NOT free...we are being told it is $800/yr! This is all a very expensive solution!

The Studio X30-50 supports now PolyOS with H.323-SIP using RealConnect CVI for Skype and Teams interop works perfect but also if you want to go Native more and more Apps become available on X30-50 now Zoom App and soon Teams App.
Great videos, very helpful. Can the TC8 be used to operate power on/off and source select on the main display somehow? - looking at avoiding extra remote control/s in rooms or having to put in Crestron instead of TC8?

@@janzoetemelk For Teams you need the Microsoft Teams Rooms Standard or Premium. Premium just has enhanced security features.

Good question it will automatically go to sleep in sync with X30 X50 or G7500, TV screen and wake up when in the room.

yeah generally these have CEC control in the web gui for the codec otherwise integrate with a control system/occupancy sensor to do that
