Everyone should watch Karl Jobst's recent video on WATA games and this guy they had on the video as their "expert." He's a pretty shady character, as well as the rest of the WATA guys and people they are associated with. There's strong evidence that they just manipulate the market and create artificially high price bubbles for their own benefit, and are likely in cahoots with Heritage Auctions as well (both of whom benefit from artificially jacking up prices because they both take percentage fees for their services.)

The valuation by the expert is correct. It's worth roughly $3,000, sometimes a very slightly bit more but still in the $3000 range. The guy asking $3,500 shouldn't have even came in the store, he obviously wanted max price, that's not gonna happen at a pawnshop, you'll be lucky to even get half of what your item is worth.
Fun Fact: Pat Contri Brought his Nintendo World Championship cart and of course its worth thousands of dollars. Much more than pawn stars would ever pay for it. But the point was to pretend to offer it up as an interesting piece for the show, but there was never any intention on selling it. Can't tell if thats the case here but judging that the guy wouldn't offer a pawnshop something even at retail value, its most likely the case that the producers just wanted to add something interesting to the show to fill the episode and they all knew a deal wouldn't be made.
