It's actually 25fps, not 24.
To be honest, as much as I love old cameras - I still own the Powershot sx20 is from 2009 and to this day, it still takes amazing photos even though it has a fixed lens - I still bought the EOS 250D. I just see so much more positive than negative in it, and I believe some of the reviews are mildly or extremely biased. It offers a wide range of lens availability, and the battery life is fantastic compared to some of the older models.
That's funny to listen to your video and read the comments saying "eeeeww it's not good enough" because you're used to good quality stuff... I'm about to upgrade from a fuji s4000 to this canon 250d and it's gonna be a Christmas feeling for me for the next 2 years 😂

The one redeeming quality of the SL3 is for streamers because it features a clean HDMI output WITH AUTO FOCUS, 1080p @60fps. Something a lot of reviewers fail to mention. Also, something the SL2 lacks. The SL2 has everything listed above, minus the auto focus feature (for clean HDMI output).
Definitely was planning on mentioning that in the full review!

**FYI about manual flashes problem**: Canon removed a pin on the top which makes the support difficult, but NOT IMPOSSIBLE. By now there are a few cheap flashes YOU CAN USE.
I use a Godox TT350 (mini) and a Godox X1T remote trigger which both work perfectly. There are some other flashes you can use and there are a few lists out there to document those.
If you buy the Godox X1T remote trigger you can use every Godox flash which works with that trigger, because you can remote trigger those flashes.
There are some other manufactorers who also produce flashes that work, but this is the solution I am currently using.

nice video. woah wait a minute that built in mic sounds really good as demoed here. I wonder if there are more built in mic shoot outs. I had completely dismissed the idea of built ins, but if there is a wide range of quality for vlogging distance audio quality with built in mics, and maybe if a few of them rival external mic is some ways, I think a thorough shoot out across as many vloggingscams as possible of those mics would be of a lot of interest to many people. My point is that built in mics are just not really compared or discussed much at all. And yes it's a 'requirement' I think to have a mic input even if the built is was really good. But IF the built in mic could be about as good at ONE thing like cardiod recording at about 3 feet, well that would actually be really important to a lot of people, wouldn't it? BTW FYI you can often put a little fur on built-in mics to help with wind noise.

So you're saying that there wouldn't be any rolling shutter for 1080p at 30 and 60fps but only at 4k video. And that's bad? How is that a down side?
I was saying that there was almost no rolling shutter when filming 4K!

the built-in mics are actually pretty good.
I have both 100d and 250d I feel the colors are more cold looking on the 250d compared to the 100d using the same lens and settings. Is there something I’m missing? How do I make the colors more similar like the 100d. Any help please.
the down sides are now to bad its battery life is more then doubble the sl2 and thats why I am getting it. the sl2 sucks this has 4K

4k is a gimic at this price. Cropped image and a bad autofocus system at 4k compared to 2k, on this camera.4k cameras are good if your spending 1.8k or 2.5k including basic lenses.
I bought my sl2 for 447 dollars about 6 months ago and it is a great camera

I'm getting the 200D 😑 I wasted so much of time waiting for the 250D and here's the Apple level planned obstacles it has to put in front of us 🤦♂️

Funny you didn't mention the SL3s Clean HDMI Output or the SL3's 4K Time Lapse features or that the New Digic 8 Processor gives nearly twice the battery life of the SL2.

Why i choosed 90D and i can confirmed 4K Dual pixel AF support. No 1.6 zoom when you using 4K mode, the whole sensors is being used.
This is also a camera could more afford, they cant afford one that $1000 dollars more

I do own this camera and it's frustrating with 4k at times but I use the 1080 when I need a wider frame.
I'd say if you want Video buy a Sony!
This camera is a mixed bag of photo with video. Canon is outstanding for photos but unless you have a higher end model the video lacks other brands.
For the price there was nothing comparable for features vs price.
DSLR = cheaper lenses and easy to find used ones.
Highly recommended for hobbyist/beginners.
Buy a prime lense, the 24mm and the 50mm are outstanding value and blow the kit lense away.

so the color for 4k looked INSTANTLY insanely better IMO ..... i get the down sides but it seems like this may be built for people setting a camera still in front of them for vlogging or something..... like the color was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better at 4k ...... where as your likely not going to be recording MOVEMENT based side of your vlog in 4k anyway ? Can anyone confirm if this camera can do 1080p 60fps via HDMI (Camlink)? From reading the basic specs on Canon's website it reads like it can only do 1080p 30fps?

You can upscale it to 8K 120fps if you'd like.

But on a serious note... Zoom only supports 30fps due to the bandwidth limitations. The day it becomes possible, you'll see every 30fps webcam in the bargain bin, and every camera will say "SUPPORTS 60FPS ZOOM CALLS!!!" because it's that big of a deal.
The confusion comes from conferencing vs web-meetings... because for local network conferences (like with Polycom and now Zoom is in that market), there are local conferences, like in a corporate office's conference room, which supports 60fps 4K meetings (looks really impressive). But that works because Polycom, for example, uses its own transfer protocol/method which is ultra-fast and proprietary to their hardware (and basically expects a business-class internet connection).
This isn't the same as what is used for Zoom/Skype/Teams/etc. web-meetings. So, unfortunately for now, we're doing 30fps until something new comes around.
