Because, despite our best efforts to work at our own pace, we have found ourselves, once again, wrapped up in the momentum of the digital world. We love utilizing social media to reach out to YOU, people who love and appreciate what we do. But as we all know, it's not a perfect system, and sometimes the best thing to do is hit the pause button - even for us content creators!
When our account began to explode with growth towards the end of last year, our sales increased (yay!) but we also knew that the big nine piece set (plus a few others) were coming our way. We’ve done our best to share those projects with you while simultaneously stocking and opening our Secret Shop (in March), trying to keep orders open in our Main Shop, making awesome videos, deciding to utilize a wait-list system, and periodically fulfilling those orders too.
On top of all of that, there are also the parts of our lives that might not make it to our social accounts, such as figuring out wiring and plumbing in our cabin, the longest air conditioner install in history, and continuing to remain patient with our small armadillo friend, who is helping to aerate every square inch of our garden!
During our break we will continue to get stuff done, but our intention is to do our work with mindfulness and the application of slow living principles. Our goal is to reset our pace, so we can get back to the reason why we do all of this - to enjoy a stress-free existence on our own terms!
We plan to keep opening our waitlist orders - so watch for those emails. We also want to create a fresh batch of round Moving Mosaics™ to unveil in the Secret Shop - so be sure to join our mailing list if you haven't already (remember they go fast). And THEN we hope to begin on a new body of work - possibly inspired by some of the amazing critters we’ve been observing around our garden this summer!
