- The initial teaser for Alien Romulus has finally arrived! Lets take a look at it and break it down to see what we can learn from it. There are Spoilers here, as i talk about leaks that line up with the footage. Alien Romulus takes place between Alien and Aliens, so there are references to both, with some from the prequels to come later.

I’m legitimately so confuse why there are so many people in comments just trying to trash on this movie like it feels like most people in here don’t like Alien at all, like they act like there never has been a black actor or female actor in alien which they have in the first movie like grow up people but anyway love the video I’m really interested of what this movie has
My guess is that the Remus will be the Civilian test subject area and the Romulus will be the WY labs.
This is sounding like Resurrection with elements of Alien and Aliens, so it will be 'The Force Awakens' of the Alien Franchise.

That would make absolutely no sense that they stumbled upon the same one from the original in the middle of outer space.

Big Chap, if even still alive, would be floating in space with no way to track it other than visual confirmation, so I very much doubt this.
I honestly think they are going to bring the story of what happened to newt and her family to this movie because remember she was found in the 2nd film aliens nobody saw what happened to her so that will be cool if they do that
But this story doesn't even take place there - nor would there be enough story there for her lone survival period - and the colony's defensive survival period would take too long to fit in this movie.
Not going to happen. This is set 15 years prior to hadleys hope. There are aliens deleted scenes showing what happened to newts parents though.
So basically they could not come up with an original story so they are going to use Alien Isolation and hope nobody notices

Saw the teaser,
Good : The mood is awesome, sci-fi elements works great according to timeline, sounds and visuals are top notch even with this ultra compressed low quality video.
Not good : The characters aren't interesting, same look & feel as Ripley we already saw in both Alien/Aliens (déjà vu). Look like a copy-paste, come on!
We haven’t even seen that much of the characters let’s wait until the movie comes out before judging
What are the alien's pronouns? Does the alien lecture its victims on systemic oppression before killing them?

After watching the Bad Guy Android come out the big winner in Nemesis, I am totally done with the Alien franchise. I don’t want to ever see another “Alien” movie ever again.
How is this a blend of Alien and Aliens?

This is just another crap entry in the franchise like everything after Aliens has been.

This is simply a teaser so its not possible to really tell from it, my guess is it will be a blend of horror elements from the first film and action elements from the second.

Given who the director is, and everything shown in this trailer, there's no way in hell this is going to be anything but a straight up jump scare horror movie.
There is nothing in this trailer that says it will have any of the elements Aliens had.
They've taken every movie since Aliens in this direction and they've all been utter failures.
This one might be a good horror movie, but Aliens made the franchise more complex than this and they've yet to capture it again.
This movie won't capture it either.

True fans deserve better. We demand a quality script crafted with care, a director who truly understands the intricacies of the Alien universe, and a plot that offers something new and meaningful. Perhaps it could even serve as a metaphor for contemporary societal issues, offering a fresh perspective on the franchise.
It's time for Disney to step up and deliver a story that captivates audiences, with characters and a world that feel authentic and compelling. Anything less simply won't cut it anymore.
Alien covenant was good though ...it needs more science, planets, the thrill of space....
