This is the RUclips content most ordinary golfers need. Someone sharing the struggles we all encounter. This will help many of us and give guidance on what to expect as we all try to improve.
Thanks for putting this out there. I'm in a similar position, coming back to play regular after only doing scrambles for years. I'm trying to get my swing/game back in shape. That be said I appreciate what you are doing as it's great to know I'm not in this boat alone.
Looking forward to watching your progress. I am restarting from scratch after a motor vehicle accident which shattered my wrists and broke my hip in 2022. I will never give up the love of the game. Best of luck.
Love this! You can do it! We’re behind you. I am in the same boat. Scoring well, but my swing needs help. I am about to set up a large pack of lessons over the winter to work on better compression, distance , and control. So you are not alone!!
After 20 years of golfing here an there, i got my first lesson this spring. first thing he changed was my grip. took me most of the summer but it finally feels natural. was quite the journey
Wow I think this is the first video I’ve actually seen that you hit balls. I know you do a lot of reviews but wondered if you even played golf. Good luck!
Wow, all of that instruction at once? It must have felt like the proverbial "drinking from a fire hose". I'm a single digit player and I've been working with instructors (two, consecutively) for five years. I've gotten much more out of the last 12 months with my current instructor (we meet 1-2 times per month, and I send videos from time to time for spot checks). I've also logged a lot of range time trying to find what works best for me (based on ball flight and how the swing looks to me and my coach on video). This is all to say that it's always a work in progress, and it takes a lot of time and patience. I enjoy the process almost as much as the results, which i think helps me improve. Also keep on mind that better ball striking doesn't automatically lead to better scores. Short game and especially putting will do that faster than swing changes.
You’ll get to a point where you naturally grab the club the way you want without thinking. Then realizes that you have forgotten how to used to hold your club
Grip changes are the WORST most important is to NEVER switch back even if you are having a bad day on the course or if like me tempted to switch after one bad shot
Lesson #1, don't wait till after +250 rounds of golf, spending $$$ before you get golf lessons. Lesson #2, it's never too late to get a lesson (for most people).

Great to have you here Sean. Hope the practice is going well!
Making progress for sure! Thanks again guys!

You got this!!! Love all your content. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
Perfect timing with the R50 release. It’s a dream range LM.

Love that you're sharing this journey - will be anxious to watch in the months ahead.
Just went through this myself. Took about a month now it feels normal. Keep at it!

Good luck Sean, don’t forget the mental aspect. Check out Jon Sherman’s “The four foundations of Golf”, easy read.

Wow, you swing a lot like Caitlin Clark. That's not a compliment nor an insult.
If you are hitting 85% of fairways, you need to get more distance.
After this, you’ll be able to add the twirl back into your repertoire … 😅
