    These colleges and universities are part of our reparations but we are not using them properly. We can help our boys avoid prison and improve healthcare and economic conditions of our people.

      @@mr.culturefreedom2073 Glad to hear it and I have a few family members and friends that have been served well by HBCUs. In addition, there seems to be a re-invigoration in the HBCU investment which is very encouraging.

      @@pipkinsdb well the PWI's had been withholding HBCU finds. Many have sued the states to get the money they're owed like Prairie View and Tennessee State. There isna resurgence to go to HBCU's. Majority of my kids peers had HBCU's as their 1st option.

    Imagine if they had "historical white colleges"..... or if there were a television station called WET White Entertainment Television....

    • @mryardiedescendant
      @mryardiedescendant Год назад

      Perhaps historical white colleges would make sense if and only if, White people were at one point barred from attending mainstream universities. Seeing as how that has never been the case, you don’t need it; Most universities are and always have been predominantly white colleges.

    • @mryardiedescendant
      @mryardiedescendant Год назад +4

      Also, anyone of any race can attend an HBCU today.
      BET started so that Black people could have an outlet in which to showcase Black musicians, actors/actresses, etc. seeing as how for most of the time the country had access to television, most forms of entertainment have been geared for White entertainment.
      You can’t exclude and “otherize” a segment of the population and then wonder why they created something exclusively for themselves.

    You complain about Diversity yet you have all black colleges which should never be that NOT DIVERSITY !

    • @mryardiedescendant
      @mryardiedescendant Год назад +1

      They’re not black only. White and International students apply to and attend HBCUS every year. I don’t complain about diversity because it naturally happens when people mingle based on shared values or interests.
      The government shouldn’t be involved in the business of telling others who they can associate with, it should be up to the individuals.

    With all this to show,why are black people still in the worst shape? it all just seems like a social status all for show ,personal gratification, what's the real out come of higher education? more debt? in a Country filled with glass ceilings , I don't see the effect of all those graduets,am I missing something here?

    • @Dbzamended
      @Dbzamended 6 лет назад +6

      Greg Hampton Well I would encourage you to not rely exclusively on anecdotal evidence. Regardless of the flaws, higher education is one of the most important institutions for catalyzing Change. Every year some of the smartest people are conducting research and council in these systems it’s just horribly regulated financially.

    • @greghampton5214
      @greghampton5214 6 лет назад +1

      Dbzamended Higher education doesn't garantee anything in America especially to the Black Man ! The Criminal Justice system, The Public shcool system, and imagration are just some of the things facing black America, just because you see black faces reporting the news doesn't mean their controlling what's bieng seen, John Henrik Clarke,Dr Claude Anderson, Yvette Carnell and ToneTalk could explain this better than I can, Your probably too young, not poor or black to understand the unseen forces working against us, anyway, do some research and get busy playing catch up !
