@@Nakia11798 they scammed their expectations
They used pjs of Blueys dad its not even Bluey, and they even call Bluey a boy so that just says that they dont know anything about the show
Dont make a event for a show you know nothing about
I do understand people blindly assuming Bluey is a boy, but hosting a whole event where a little girl is played by a grown man is next level
Or if they are gonna do an event, you could... research? Like, even if none of the staff have seen the show, that's fine, but you could at least do a Wikipedia skim or something to learn first.
I’m a parent of a toddler that loves Bluey. When they called Bluey a boy I’m like… none of these people know the show. But for a local restaurant like this I don’t know how parents thought it would be a decent event. It’s about what I personally would have expected. Obviously it should have been better than what it was, but come on, driving an HOUR or more to this thinking it was going to be good enough to spend the gas money and time. The parents have to share some of the blame. 3k people responded, you can look up the size of the restaurant and use some logic to deduce it’s not likely going to be a great experience. I guess when people are in an economy where they’re feeling strapped for cash and they see “FREE” the flock to it.

Everyone was kinda dumb here. The venue thought they were just doing a super small event with the regulars and all the attendees thought this was some official Bluey meet and greet? Super odd.
yeah it seems like a huge misunderstanding. i'd need to see a closer look at Dirt Dog's event page for this, but from the video it seems like they didn't offer up much info and the parents filled in the gaps with some pretty wild expectations considering the venue.
yeah american's are pretty stupid. narcissist expectations always super high and somehow someone always has to be accountable if something fails. can't just let thing's go like normal people.
ya i kinda feel bad for the restaurant in this case, if they never meant for it to go viral the way it did. seems like a huge mistake.

Bluey event is so messed up
The Bluey meetup getting filed a cease and desist, right after Chad watched the news report saying it would happen again is such comedic timing.
I'm putting this one on the parents. Like...they didn't use critical thinking skills for one second here. They're upset that their kids are upset...but they're the ones who didn't look into it AT ALL. Granted a dude showing up in Bandit pajamas probably wouldn't have thrilled the regulars either but at least the free stuff would've been available to them.
No justification for how the restaurant advertised the event and failed to deliver.
It's Vegas though. High production events happen all the time in Vegas
I feel like it's 50/50. Like yeah these people are scammers but the parents doing no research?
Also I saw one parent was outraged because they had to stand in line for a long time. Like...??? Yeah??? You go to an event for a popular show, there's going to be a line. Even if it was an official, well-done event there would be a line.
I'm not sure how much really there'd be available to look into. If it's just a flyer promising a blue meet and greet and free stuff you at least expect a meet and great with something that looks like the character. You don't expect a man with a beard in onesy PJs of the wrong character with his full face showing. Unless there were pictures to look at (which I wouldn't expect as a one time event) or reviews (which wouldn't exist) how would you know they are straight up lying about there being a mascot character meet and great (or at least being really deceptive).
@@FrenkTheJoy I wouldn’t use the word “scammer”. It was a free event. But I do agree it’s 50/50. The restaurant was dishonest in the ads (saying you could meet characters when they didn’t have a real mascot costume) and made a pretty bad event. But the parents should have realized it wasn’t going to be much because it was a free event at a hot dog restaurant. Generally if an event is free, it’s probably going to be something worth driving a long way for.

This episode of Bluey is called "The Unknown"
This reminds me of when my job (kids swim instructor) held a fall festival and got mad i couldn't do accurate Spiderman face painting. Bro i was a swim coach and the event was completely free lol.
We need more third places!!!!! In the past, thousands of people wouldn't have gone to a tiny restaurant. People, especially children, are impoverished in terms of community spaces and people are getting outraged at the restaurant. They're just people. People were mad because they drove hours to get there. Be mad that you have to drive hours to get to a space where your children are welcome to have fun. The anger and disappointment is misplaced. Let's work to actually create community spaces that aren't just purely capitalistic / transactional.
Expectations: Bluey costume
Reality: Guy in a Bandit Onesie
Why
To be honest this feels like a gargantuan misunderstanding on both ends. The restaurant staff thought they would throw a Bluey themed party for their usual small customer base, and the attendees thought they were going to a licensed meet-and-greet with an actor in a mascot-type costume and some manner of regulation. It sounds to me like the restaurant should have been way more clear about what the event actually would be and they should have taken extra precautions JUST IN CASE the turn-out was more than expected. Hopefully a lesson was learned by this place!
Also, I'm not even a Bluey fan and I know that she's a girl, like c'mon people you're actually THAT clueless? Maybe do the bare minimum of research next time you want to do something like this, cripes.

Agreed 💯, & many of these parents don't look, or act like they have the highest IQ, so it's natural for them to blame others when it's their own fault they got scammed, by going to an unofficial event.
@@CommodoreFan64 They didn't even get scammed. It was a free event. It was their own choice to drive hours to go to a free event at a hot dog restaurant that only had like 5 tables for seating. What on earth did they realistically expect??
@@Shaddiewolf I call it a scam because unless the hot dog place was just that damn stupid, they knew they would have had a lot of people show up, but it's 100% the parents fault for falling for it, knowing how popular the show is, and not looking up the place online beforehand, and doing at least a little bit of basic research to determine this might not be the best place to take my kid/s, but then again I'm also not surprised as most moms I've met who spend all day on Facebook, and social media in general with their phones they barely know how to work for anything are often not the smartest tools in the shed to start with.

I'm not quite sure this is in the same tier as the Glasgow Wonka event.
the way you kind of framed it and with the news event, kind of makes it seem like this was a venue that went in over their heads. They're probably used to doing smaller events with maybe a decent handful of people coming in. At one point maybe when coming up with their next event for their restaurant, they thought about doing a family type day. And maybe someone on their staff suggested Bluey as a character to use due to maybe being loosely aware of the character or maybe one of their younger siblings or cousins/nieces/nephews being super into the character. Thought they'd get a decent crowd, but didn't expect the large amount they ended up getting.
I think for the 3k Facebook number that was there, I sort of assume they didn't really believe they would actually get that amount due to reputation of Facebook going events. People say they're going to an event on the page, but don't end up going becasue it's a spur of the moment thing and they end up forgetting and end up not following through. So they probably prepared for a moderate amount, but didn't factor in how big and popular Bluey is with parents and kids, and were totally overwhelmed and unprepared. As well as didn't focus too much on getting a full on high quality Bluey costume due to this not being in their budget or just assuming they could keep it in their usual moderate budgeted events that I assume they might've done in the past.
Also as far as getting the cease and desist, they probably aren't familiar with whatever the procedure is for licensing out a character to use for an event you want to throw. People usually just assume you just dress up as a character or use whatever images that people like and throw the best party or event you can throw. As well as the other thing being, the process to do that thing isn't as widely known to regular people that don't do this sort of thing a lot and can be a little bit daunting and non-user friendly and confusing.
that's my random guess to how it ended up this way.
Even if only 10% of that 3k were to attend, that would still be 300, if only 5% it would be 150 people, and that's more than the 65 (give or take a few) they claimed to have expected.
@@Eidolon1andOnlytbf i think they couldve handled a few hundred a lot more easily. They still would have run out of things to hand out, but thats also pretty common at free events.
@@fancyflautist Very true, but since they had an RSVP feature ahead of the event with a count in the thousands, they had enough time to get better prepared. If they had a limited amount of freebies to hand out, they could have made them prizes for the games the advertised. Could have ordered a few hundred t-shirts be printed with their restaurant's name and logo to be handed out as there's plenty of places here in Vegas that can supply custom silkscreened shirts.
@@Eidolon1andOnly It depends a lot on how long the event was posted. If the posting up for weeks or months before the event and the RSVP was high they would have had time to prepare things to give out (and this disaster could have been avoided). If it was up for only a week or so at most, procuring freebees that would have been to the parent's satisfaction (especially custom ones) would have probably involved placing rush orders when their budget is already strained by the sudden influx of attendees (many people who don't deal w/ the ordering process often underestimate how long it takes for large orders to be processed and shipped, and how much it costs to expedite that process).
@@RainbowUnicorn.-. They could have baked cookies or prepared food to give away, considering they're a restaurant. Getting t-shirts or hats printed is also fast and relatively cheap. Gift certificates too would be fast, cheap, and easy to give away.
I just don't get how they're so clueless about how many people they expected to show up. Sure not everyone will show up that RSVP's/shows interest, but when you have over 3000 that do, you can't expect that "oh maybe there will only be 50-60". That's the tiniest fraction of that 3000.
Because the people working at the store aren't chronically online or haven't watched the show.
Not everyone knows that Bluey has taken over a big percentage of the internet right now.
@@blazeredraw you don't need to watch the show or know anything about Bluey to look at your RSVP/interested numbers and know not to expect just 50-60 people. That's a 1.6% expected attendance rate, calculated out. I get not everyone will show up and you should never expect that, but not even planning for at least a few hundred? There is none who is so blind as he who will not see. If you don't look at your RSVP numbers being over 3000, that's on you.
They probably expected 50-60 at the very beginning as they posted it but then checked like am hour later or so to see 2k and eventually climb to 3k.
@@blazeredraw Oh yeah that makes sense. "We have no idea that this show is actually popular, that's why weren't planning an event around it."
@@FrenkTheJoy there is a difference here, they knew it was popular, but more of a SpongeBob type of popular, everyone knows SpongeBob and everyone is fine with Sponge Bob, if there is a SpongeBob event people will come to check it out.
What they didn't expect is that Bluey is not just considered a fun show to watch, but a way of life, a fun show that is fun for kids but also a guide to be a good parent.
People don't just watch Bluey, they LIVE like Bluey, most of the world doesn't just like Bluey, they LOVE bluey.
That's what they didn't know, and that's why they weren't prepared by the flood of people that showed up expecting the highest of quality with this event just because it's Bluey, and when it's Bluey, there is at least a million dollars of budget

I'm baffled, this is such a mess on all sides

Ladies and fricks, we have returned to greatness.
Genuinely feel so bad for the restaurant. They tried to do good pr and make up for the event even thought it was hardly thier fault to begin with and then they got a cease and desist
3:52 Then again, how do you explain to an excited kid 'sorry we can't go, that Bluey is probably fake.'
First of all, I have a lot of respect for the place caring more about security for next time and less about some costume. You get thousands of people trying to get in a small venue like that and people can die, period. That tiny little place with a crowd that big is a gigantic hazard and I'm just glad no one got hurt. Yeah the Bluey costume was stupid, but the place made cupcakes and tried to have other fun activities, they were doing face painting even if it wasn't great. I'm pretty firmly on the venue's side, honestly. It seems like they tried and people got mad about a FREE event. Low budget theme stuff used to happen at places all the time, there just wasn't social media to make it viral and get it on the news 🙄🙄🙄 It's a lot different from the Wonka thing where it was blatant false advertising and also PAID.
This! I'm on the venues side solely for the fact that I totally believe they didn't expect the Facebook event to even take off. Personally, if it were me working there I probably would have kept it to just posting fliers around the restaurant and handing out fliers advertising the event, maybe place some fliers at local places, and then make big signs for the day of so you just attract the locals you usually get and maybe some random families passing by. But yeah it's a free event, they had some cute little things, I feel bad for them.
Company: I have an idea! Let’s make a n event with a famous character!
Just a little cash grab.
3days later.
Company: 😬 did not expect this much people.
This is on BOTH the parents and the establishment. The event was:
1: free
2: unsanctioned / just for fun
3: in LA and Las veggas.
4: a FREE event of a VERY popular property, in a HUGE city, for FAMILYS. No duh it was way over crowded and freebies went fast. It doesint take much brain power to come to that. An ameba could do that math. The parents should be cognoscente enough of how popular it was and a lot of families were gona flock to it but they went anyway.
And the establishment should had done more to prepare with the subject they were "using". Just a little instead of going by one or 2 images.
The biggest offense was ESPECIALLY not assume that such a tiny fraction of a percentage would show up out of the thousands that responded. I mean, seriously?
if the willy wonka experience and bluey had a baby
I think part of the high expectations were due to the fact that the event occurred in Vegas

The Chad is back.
Some have theorized that intelligence is increasing at a much slower rate than population. Things like this really lead credence to that theory.
Actually this could give credence to an exact OPPOSITE of that theory, in which intelligence is decreasing at a MUCH faster rate than people dying.
Okay real talk tho I went to Dirt Dog in LA several years ago and they’re really tasty.
Also the little girl interviewed is great, she described the event perfectly LOL
im actually on the side of the restaurant, but at the same time, it depends on what was advertised. did they advertise a huge event? because if they did then sure, but what did people expect when they saw "local restaurant event"
edit: but yeah the restaurant trying bluey again was a really stupid move
0:13 I saw an uncensored cuss. 😂
Why just literally why????
Honestly not too different from any other themed party when I was a kid, what did they expect an amusement park inside the restaurant? People these days are incredibly over stimulated!
That's what I said in a pretty long comment about how Dirt Dog has non of the fault and shouldn't be saying sorry.
This is the fault of spoiled parents that expect too much out of a simple event in a restaurant, not every event has to be filled with mascots and amusement park rides with a 3 million dollar budget.
Not a single part of the promotion did anyone said it was an official event or that it's gonna be the event of your lifetime, it literally promoted itself as "Bluey day" just a day where everything is THEMED around Bluey.
The Staff really didn't expect Bluey to be such a massive hit, like... They just thought people enjoyed Bluey, not that people LOVED Bluey and some even make Bluey their whole life purpose.
So yeah, you can't blame the Restaurant just because people over hyped themselves into thinking it has gonna be more than a fun little relaxing day at Dirty Dog, the only difference being that they have Bluey stickers and face paint to keep with the theme.
Why blame parents when the restaurant falsely advertised what to expect. At the very least they expected a costume better than a man in PJs.
@@Eidolon1andOnly The problem is that they didn't tell them what to expect the parents were the one's that over hyped the event and started assuming it as a high budget event by themselves, therefore, it's the parent's fault.
@@blazeredraw Except they did advertise a meet and greet with Bluey, so the bare minimum expectation was that the costume would be better than that set of PJs.
I live in Las Vegas and personally know someone who attended the event, and what was advertised was being able to watch the show all afternoon, that there'd he a chance to meet Bluey and _friends_ and there'd be giveaways and games, face painting and treats. The only things Dirt Dog truly delivered on was playing the Bluey cartoons and the treats. *_One_* guy in a set of PJs themed after Bluey's father Bandit isn't "Bluey and *_friends"_* since it was neither Bluey nor any other costumed characters. None of the face painters had real face paint, nor skilled at face painting, with the paint looking more like water colors (which they probably were). The games weren't well thought out and there wasn't any real prizes to win so that was a bust as no one played while she was there, and the treats were OK but nothing special or particularly Bluey, but they were tasty at least. My coworker, the one telling me about this, went into it with very little to no expectations and still left disappointed. Her daughter was mopey and her son was actually angry with it. Coworker said she at least expected a few people in decent costumes to get some pics of her kids with the characters, which I think was the only real expectation most parents had or wanted, and the restaurant failed to deliver. She said the staff seemed completely unprepared, overwhelmed, and understaffed. Considering 3k+ people RSVP'ed to the event well ahead of time, Dirt Dog had enough forewarning to get their act together and hire outside help if needed. I know not everyone who RSVPs will attend, but even if only 5% of that 3k showed up it would be about 150 people, which is more than double their estimate of only 65.
Oh jeez it's the Glasgow Willy Wonka experience all over again 💀
They have no idea what they are talking about once they call Bluey a boy and mistake Bandit pjs for Bluey pjs.
also these people keep calling bluey "he"
bluey and bingo are both girls 😭
In the words of Bingo Heeler: “This is OUTRAGEOUS!”
Why does every event this year end up like the krusty krab krabby land?
The biggest show in town is Huckleberry Hound.
For all you guys and gals!
what did they even mean by "the real bluey". what were they planning to pull at that 2nd event
I love how the lady was like I didn't know bluey was that big, what?! Bluey is everywhere like you not have a tv, go to the store, socal media, the internet?! I know how big bluey is an I don't have kids or nieces and nephews
I have literally never heard about bluey off the internet
Not everyone is chronically online like we are.
thanks for the new video, glad you had some time to make one of these again
wake up babe, new "parents upset" chadtronic video
2:47 no head + no arm = amongus
Why
At what point do they figure out that it’s not even a Bluey costume. It’s Bluey’s dad.
If Chadtronic makes a parents upset over video and both the parents AND the kids are upset, that’s how you know you screwed up.
The only way that "costume" could be any worse, is if it's just a guy in casual with a paper cutout of bluey tied to their face like the tf2 spy or what you get from one of those £5/$6 goodie bags with those crayons in and a colouring book.
that's not even bluey..that's bandit.. 😭
Why
Bluey had a Willy Wonka incident styled song in Las Vegas? lol. 😂
The original blue cartoon dog is Huckleberry Hound, not Blue.
When the world needed him the most, he returned
We both used the same cliche comment phrase!
@@siyahseeker hell yeah
also Dirt Dog thinks Bluey is a Public Domain character that will not get them cease and decease.
If something becomes a meme or becomes a very famous piece of media in a sense that all of society can get references to it, it falls under the law of fair use, unless you're selling it as if it was official content.
In no part of this event was anything being sold and it wasn't a private event, simply a restaurant that had a bluey theme for a day.
This law also applies for all the people who dress up as Spiderman for birthday parties, they sell their SERVICE as a man in a Spider Costume they don't sell themselves claiming to be the real spider man from the movies.
So yeah, they're free to use Bluey in themed events, but they can't make a Bluey Restaurant.
*desist (not "decease" which means dead).
@@Eidolon1andOnly That's just how serious the Bluey PR & legal team is. Literal hit squad. On par with Nintendo's Ninjas.
@@Robbie06261995If you had an IP that was abused like this, you would also throw down a C&D
@@Robbie06261995well I think disney stepped in cuz the mouse will want his cut.
That or I'd like to think Bluey came by with her notary to write "Please Stop" as an official CND letter.
1:41 I Love the fact Chad just goes.. "YEAH! KEEP IT UP, STAY STUPID!"
The fact that it says no pets on the bottom right 3:10
This also reminds me of that one spongebob episode where mr krabs makes krabby land and made a mascot which is just him with a blue nose and a silly tie and everyone was disappointed even spongebob was lol
Why do I get the impression that they were just trying to make the next Glasgow willy wonka experience
3:28 me: WERE GOIN TO DIRT DAWG TO SEE BLUEY AND HIS BEST FRIEND STAFF MEMBER!
I’m coming in there Chad!
🎵Blue skadoo, we can too🎶
Chadtronic Presents: *FEAR & LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS....*
If I had a nickel for every blue cartoon dog, I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
I will not accept this Huckleberry Hound erasure
Bluey is actually really fun to watch
Damn man, I never thought I'd see a video of yours again. For the last several years I have wondered what yiur channel wad because I watched your videos all the time but I couldn't find it. Glad after so many years I can enjoy my favorite childhood youtuber
The fact that the costumes, balloons, etc. , all had Bandit, Bluey's dad, making the world think that Bluey is male....
I mean it's just a cartoon but Google exists lol.
The amount of "he"s in this video made me think we were talking about Michael Jackson
Now this is a crowd I like
Bro I realized Chad has changed so much
