Now it is complete!, I think I am going to have to get one of those winches now.
Your 4runner is probably my favourite trail truck you have at the moment, I just love the look of that thing!
Great job doing the installation show me how one works. I’m new to this and I have several winches for my RC’s. Thanks, Pete.
Nice build. Btw the warn 8274 has a free spool featutre to help speed up the winching process.
I've got the Warn Winch installed on 2 of my Truck's and they work good, but then I tried the Reef's Micro Servo Winch and that's what I'll be doing from now on... I've got a brand new Warn Winch still in the package for a backup Incase anything happens to the other two ... Still a good product 💯

I havent tried any servo winches but I can see how it would be better, especially a reefs. Most of what I do is focused on the realism and having a winch up front just like the big trucks fits my needs more. Im not a big comp guy. Just like to have fun driving scale.
@@RCeveryday I don't comp a bunch, just run some fun Gates once in a while, I still like the RC4WD Winch and wired controller alot for scale looks and performance it's the best.. I've experienced the "other brand" total J.U.N.K. LOL 😁
I run my winch controller right off the power grid of the receiver. It’s got plenty of power at 6v.. I’ve got the older model winch, so it doesn’t have a brake unfortunately, but it works great
Great winch and build in. I like that you use a black permanent marker, too😁.
That setup is awesome!
That's very cool. And nice 🚚
Looks awesome. Truck is running nicely quite. 👍
Great video man! Winch looks good in there!
Mod science!! I love wenches, but I hate installing them lol
Baaaadddaaaasss rig and sweet winch & controller!
Awesome!! Love the look!! Clean install!! Great video!! Till the next ☝🏼. ✌️.
Thats why I didn't go with that bumper on my 4runner build I thought I'd have to cut my grill and bumper to fit it. Man that was a nice how to install video though great job! That new winch controller from rc4wd is nice!!!
Nicely done. You kept a good approach angle the way you did it. It's about time you had a working winch. 🤣
👍great job as always my friend.
Never gonna have an issue with pulling power now. I have that winch on a 45lb truck and it snaps winch lines before running out of torque lol
I always love the looks of that 4Runner! Specially with those wheels and tires combination! I have that same warn winch, that I bought from rc4wd in 2016! I still haven’t installed it on any of my rigs! Boy I gotta start looking for it so I can install it on one of my new project! I gotta get me one of those winch remote! Nicely done brother!👌😎👍by the way! According to rc4wd that winch supposed hold or pull up to 50lbs!
Great video.
Cool attachment
Hello from southeast alaska I hope you are having a good day bro
Another nice video and thanks! I have a winch on my cross country with the original remote. Do you still have your cross country?
“Wolverine poop” 😂
Omg scaler without a winch is half the fun...
That winch controllers way better than the last one I had.. I tried hooking a servo winch to the Box and burnt it up. Lol now i need a new 1 and EZBOY.RC is too low budget to buy 1. Lol
How’s the winch holding up? This thing just looks awesome and props with a very clean install. Wanting to bolt one my FMS Atlas 4x4.
No issues with it so far. That thing has some torque
Cool
New winch!
Would that bumper work on the Marlin body you think? I’ve got one in the cart on RC4WD, but it’s mostly sentimental since I had an ARB bumper just like that on an old Discovery II. Side note, it would be awesome if RC4WD would make a 2002 Discovery II hardbody kit. Maybe you should give them a nudge! Lol
Lol, They dont listen to me. Just measured the 4runner body is about half an inch wider in the nose than the hilux. Afraid it would stick out quite a bit. Plus the CChand bumpers are made so specifically I think the bull bars wouldnt line up with the headlights either.
@@RCeveryday Thanks so much! Just save me 100 bucks. I was pretty committed to try and make it work lol. But yeah scale wise that difference would look pretty noticeable I bet
That kangaroo bumper is kind of similar and fit the hilux.
@@RCeveryday which one is that? I’m thinking of going with the ARB bar bumper for the Gelande II and buying a pair of those universal bar mounts
Im not sure who makes the kangaroo bumper, I put one on my blue tf2 a while back. It looks very ARB like. store.rc4wd.com/Kangaroo-Front-Bumper-for-Mojave-II-24-Door-Body-Set-Black_p_5701.html
I have a unpainted top and the glass that goes with it uninstalled if interested
Do you think it would fit the trx4 sport kit body?
The bumper and winch? Not without some major work. The tf2 and trx are very different in design.
Just the winch. As far as fitting under the front without having to chop up the body. Like how you were saying it fit the FJ. I haven't decided on a bumper yet.
Soon as my winch gets power it starts spooling out? Any ideas?
Something has to be wired wrong, should be neutral when powered up
@@RCeveryday yeah. It gets power from a little 600mah 2 cell LiPo battery. Soon as I connect power to it is starts spooling. I have no clue. Maybe the control box is defective
Hard to mess up the wiring. Straight from a battery into the control box then into the winch. I’m so confused
Yeah, not much else, have to email their customer support. They will take care of you.
OK, I was wrong with that comment. It's the 1st Gen w/ removable top. Hee Haw
