Ahhh! I knew it sounded familiar but I couldn't place it. I really didn't enjoy Punk Hazard outside of a few key areas ("You're not going to betray me right?", Chopper becoming Law's sword charm, and the Breaking of the Gear) so I think I repressed the memories of what took place there 😂
To be fair to them and everyone else , no one even saw the rocky port incident. Which is horse shit btw. Like Oda writes so AMAZING yet SLOPPY at the same time. Gives us fights we don't give af about but then won't give us the fights that REALLY matter to the story. The rocky port incident is way more important than people think. Because of that incident it won made Blackbeard in emperor to make law a warlord and 3 made Kobe a hero. I think it's a story that needs to be told at least within a flashback give it three or four episodes something!!! Ya know???
To be honest, this whole kuzan joining the blackbeard pirates for me seems like a sham. I think the mutual interest the blackbeard pirates share with kuzan is the defiance against the world government so far we know kuzan hates the current justice system and the reason he wanted to become fleet admiral is that he could change it. and well blackbeard has already shown defiance/hostility when he clashed with the fleet admiral sengoku and garp back in marine Ford. So kuzan joined because he believes blackbeard in the future will bring down the world government and destroy the current system. kuzan also wants to stick with them because he believes that he can get more knowledge on the world government in the past and a better understanding on how it truly works and how it was established. BUT after blackbeard destroys this system or someone else maybe luffy does it, is exactly when aokiji will betray him due to his interest being fulfilled.
Yeah, that's about as good a theory as anyone can have currently, and largely matches our thoughts too, but the biggest question we have remains...why Blackbeard over the other options? Convenience of circumstance? Best chance to succeed? And what happens when you help BB get strong enough to dismantle the Justice system from the outside? He may be inadvertently creating a much bigger monster than the one he's currently fighting. And to that end, why take such an antagonizing stance against those who also feel the Justice system is broken and are trying to enact positive change in their own way? Ahhh, still too many burning questions :)

Hachinosu are a group of drunken pirates who are a bit of idiots. There are prisoners on the island, but hey... I don't know, I think that from Kuzan's point of view there's no harm in following this group for the time being and if something happens that he doesn't approve of at all, he'll be free to attack Teach or the others, there really isn't anyone stronger than him in the crew. I was never a fan of the anime, but it's getting to the point that so many new episodes (not all, but many) are becoming a marked improvement over the manga (which is hard because the source material is already really good). Prayers and appreciation to the animation teams at Toei that're working their asses off just to produce good television. I'm very much looking forward to the next episode too now. A very powerful statement by a very unlikely character. 39:15 Also, yes the first time "The man with the burn scar/face" was talked about was Post-Wano when Kidd brought it up. 39:26 Without spoilers, I will say that the community is very far into theorizing (with many pieces of evidence) who the Burn-scar Man is. Kidd's pronunciation of "Burn Scar" (in Japanese) immediately provides a name that is likely the name of this "man". We also know (in the Oden flashback) the Road Poneglyph that the "man" carries was once located beside JoyBoy's apology message in Fishman Island (meaning the same "man" possibly stole it when they were there). I'd like to go into further evidence, but that will lead into heavy spoilers. So, we'll let the anime play it out.

Maybe he lets everyone else destroy each other and then just walks over the pile of corpses to the finish line.

The anime did it wayyyyy better with Blue Hole! Wow just amazing! Bepo had me tearing up too!! 😢 real MVP for real. RIP Heart Pirates. I hope Laws crew survives Jean Bart was cool. He tanked Augers bullet! But yeah Blackbeard is a legit little bitch. I like a good villain but he ain’t him. He’s grimey af. Kuzan is a fucking mystery man I can see a lot of possible reasons he joined Blackbeard but nothing that feels right to suspect. Kuzan’s leg was actually shown like this in One Piece Film Z in a scene where he meets Luffy again. I know you guys haven’t seen the movies right? As far as the “Man with the burn scar” he is a new concept. The person is still a mystery. But yeah guys great content as always!! Garp continues to show why he's hailed as a Hero, and why his enemies fear him. Guy is OP 😂. Bepo pulled his weight and then some! I (Mike) am having a hard time feeling much for the Heart Pirates as we never really got to know them, but it sucks for Law and his continuation as a player in the game. Guess he'll just need to join Luffy :) We've seen a couple movies (Gold, Stampede, Red) but most we haven't watched yet. We plan to blast through them after Tasha has her surgery. Good to know about Burn Scar Man. Definitely looking forward to what's ahead, though the upcoming episode seems like it'll be a bleh side story check in episode.

Oh, we're not forgetting, he just seems to have weaknesses that the other Yonkos don't. In gaming terms, he's a bit of a glass cannon. I think he'd be lights out if he took a shot from a Thunder Bagua or Luffy's Conquerer infused punch. He's not weak, he's just weaker imo. He is fearsome because he knows how to make up for his deficiency and rarely has a blind spot. And the fact that he could scar Shanks, even if it was a surprise attack, shows how resourceful he is. He's certainly more deserving of the title than Buggy 😂
