The RUclips ubiquitous 'we'. Why can't you just 'there is', rather than 'we have', the use of 'we' sounds amateurish. Also why haven't you pointed out the differences to the standard Sprite which presumably costs less so that viewers can judge whether the Exclusives are worth the extra.
Hi Andy. This Channel is a Ma n Pa Channel. I am not a Journalist or a Professional nor do I pretend to be. So you can say I am an Amateur. I just enjoy Caravanning. Unlike a Journalist or some experts I own a caravan and do use it. I have covered the standard Sprite many times. Points in the video are showing the difference. I have noticed that you do not make videos yourself, perhaps you could have a go and give up your free time. Failing this, look somewhere else. Thanks Phil.
I think you missed my point about comparison. You refer to changes from the previous Sprite range, which is fair enough, but the Exclusives are a step up in spec. and price on the current standard Sprites that have also been altered from previous models. So some words about what those differences between Standard and Exclusive would have been useful.@lostweekendscaravan
I understand your point. I try my best with the time and skills I have. The issue is the length of the video I would have to make. This video itself is quite long and my time is limited. This current video took 2 days to put together. As you say I am quite amateurish which I fully agree with and do not pretend to be otherwise unlike some Caravan Channels. I don't sell T-shirts or ask for money. I also try to help as much as I can with peoples caravan problems. I will never change the way I make videos. If I did I would not be true to myself. Thanks Phil.
You keep doing the video's like you always do your channel is so helpful even to us who have bin caravanning for 20plus yrs. You give up your time for something you enjoy we love our Sunday morning video even if it means more jobs for Keith 😂😂. Keep up the excellent work. Xx
Thanks Alison. I have no intentions of stopping. I have recorded over 7 videos recently which are ready for their Sunday Slots. I will say sorry to Keith in advance. Thanks Phil. 🙂👍
Hi Phil, Many thanks for this brilliant well worded and edited vlog on the new Sprite exclusive caravan . WE enjoyed your explanation and your grammar that included us as your viewer , WE enjoyed it so much WE have subscribed to your channel. As WE are "born again" caravaners and looking for a van WE can see the difference between the entry level van and the exclusive. WE look forward to binge watching your channel vlogs. Kind Regards Robert & Carolyn 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Robert & Carolyn. Thanks for your kind words. WE were so glad you liked the video. 😂 This is a very nice van, even more so now they have addressed the sunroof. We have plenty of videos to tempt you. All the best from the Royal WE. Phil and Juliet🙂👍
Lovely caravan some good changes like the kitchen sink and skylight in kitchen and and the shower door. I like curtains rather than pads. Don't like tele on wall. (Sorry) our seats have no buttons and love that. Love the outside colour of the new van. Thankyou. X
Hi Keith & Alison. Yes NO BUTTONS I was so pleased to see this. I don't mind the TV on the wall but I know ours would not fit. I still like curtains, more so in the bedroom. Many Thanks Phil.👍🙂
What a difference, definitely value for money, I have a 2023 dealers special of that model and I would swap the kitchen and fridge…. Glad to hear Swift are also listening, thanks Phil another great video 👍👍👍
Hi joe. It is a really nice van and yes great value for money. I was impressed by the Theftford fridge it seemed better built than the other option. Yes hopefully the sunroof issue will be a thing of the past. Many Thanks Phil.🙂👍
A good detailed look around Phil 👍. Like the cutlery draw and the washroom basin. Not so sure about the tv position being a bit high for the person sat on the same side with the overhead cupboard being in the way and it will also cover the two alarms. Overall a really lovely caravan 👍. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob n Gail. Thanks this took 3 days to plan, film and edit. There was so much to learn. I agree about the TV point. This point may need revising at some point. Glad you liked it though. many Thanks Phil. 👍🙂
Hi David. I could only wish. Sadly the Bank Manager says NO🙄. I will have to stick with what I have. I was tempted but PX or resale prices have dropped off a cliff. Plus I was hoping Swift might do a swap🤔Thanks Phil. 🙂👍
Wow lovely caravan Phil 🙂 a lot of thought has gone in to the designing ,I think they have definitely listened to customers likes and dislikes , thank you ,another brilliant and informative vlog Phil 🙂
Hi Phil. Nice looking van. Does look a bit basic on some parts of the van , but some nice touches in other places. I'm trying to find a gloss black locker for ours. Think they look nice. Cheers Paul
Hi Paul. The only difference between this and the New Challenger is the Alde Heating. You can get the front locker lid wrapped it would be cheaper and make a good video. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Wow Phil what a lovely van, I like the colours inside and out. The front panel is very smart. The front window issue, I wouldn’t have entertained a van with the old skylight window, now the problem has been addressed it’s a whole new ball game. The interior is excellent, I’d like to see a stable door, it’s such an asset when you’ve a dog. The TV bracket looks a bit too high for me and I’m not sure on the loss of a one piece moulding for the shower, we never use on site facilities so ours gets a lot of use. Well done Swift a lovely van, I can’t see them making many of the standard models. Looking forward to checking them out at NEC. Great presentation Phil, top job. 👍
Hi Colin. Yes this is a well put together van. I understand Longtons will only be selling the Exclusive and not the standard from now on. I would love to know what you think of it when you visit the Show. I am not going again this year. Many Thanks Phil. 👍🙂
@@lostweekendscaravan it’s looking like I’ll be Billy No Mates at the Show, I’ve gone round with Graham, you know The International Caravan Vlogger 😁on last few visits but I understand he’s not going this year 🥲 Hopefully I’ll bump into someone and impose myself on them 😂 Take care and hope to see you & Juliet soon. 👍😁
A serious number of improvements with some thought put in. One tiny thing which was missed was the spare wheel under the bed. Some may like it there but I think it takes up space. Good luck with Swift lol….😜
Hi TT. I have to admit I prefer the wheel inside as the under trays can damaged the tyre wall. I don't use the under bed space for much these days. Hmm I doubt Swift will be knocking at me door but If you don't ask😂. Love the buttonless seats and the new fridge. Thanks Phil.🙂👍
Nice to see the new range. I have to admit Phil, I like my curtains too. I dont like the padded window boards - not really sure what they are there for. Would also prefer if one of the skylights in the bathroom were over the shower cubicle. Really like the electric hot plate but not so fond of the tall fridge in the kitchen - try getting a large pizza on one of the shelves 😂
HI Tracey. I really our curtains too. Yes the skylight could be over the shower instead. I think they have gone for more light over the sink I suppose? I don't mind the fridge but you do loose a proper place to site the TV. There would be nowhere for my sound bar😂. I am not sure a large pizza will fit. Juliet cuts them up so they fit in the oven. Many Thanks for watching. Phil.🙂👍
Hi Phil, interested to see your views on the '25 Alpine 4 exclusive. I'm really missing the fixed bed having got an Alpine 2 and very tempting to swap.
Hi. The Alpine Model is one of Swifts biggest sellers. I have only briefly seen the Alpine Exclusive and from what I saw it has all the same features as the SB. The Alpine as I am sure you know is lighter than the other Sprites and cheaper too. If I was in the market the Alpine 4 would be close to the top of my list. As you say say no making up the bed every morning. Keep me updated as to what you decide. Thanks Phil.👍🙂
Hi Garry. Yes you are right it partly covers the lower vent. I worked out the max size tv would be about 24 inches. That excludes me then. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Nice looking van on the outside, don't like the interior so much not keen on all that grey. Glad to see a big drawer under the sink to catch the water lol, just about everyone who's owned a Sprite will know what I mean and I hope they're better built than our 2017 Sprite quattro was. We won't be changing our current van any time soon, the prices they're charging for these things, even the most entry level are too expensive for what they are.
HI Justin. Yes I know what you mean about the pipes. It happened to me I did a video on it so other folk would not have the same stress as me. I don't believe there is an entry level Caravan anymore. Sprite is the most popular Caravan sold by Swift. I can understand why they have brought it out. I know I cannot afford one. I am happy with my 2018 Sprite. Thanks Phil.👍🙂
@@lostweekendscaravan Yes I get what your saying Phil RE entry level caravans, although I suppose the standard Sprite would be classed as entry level along with the Bailey Discovery. Although it's interesting to note that Coachman class the Acadia as their entry level model, but the retail price plus delivery pushes the cheapest model over £30K, not exactly entry level pricing lol.
Losing the TV shelf by the door would be a deal breaker for me, I've never been a fan of the TV hanging high on the wall and you would be banging into it when you're in and out of the van, I like the new bed base though
Hi. For me I would have nowhere to fit my sound bar and my tv would not fit either. Yes the new bed base is much better and will not buckle or get out of shape. I have never liked our bed base. The door shower is better as it makes the entrance wider. Thanks for watching Phil.👍🙂
Hi Fred. Yes you are quite right. I have to say the Major 4 SB all be it a 4 berth they are mainly used as a large 2 berths. We mainly use ours that way apart from when the Grandson comes with us. Many Thanks Phil.🙂👍
Hi. Nothing holds its value at present. I love my Sprite and have been very happy with it. If I had the money I would buy it. Some Caravans are not for everyone. Thanks Phil🙂👍
@sleepingsounds16 You forget that we've had rampant inflation over the last few years. According to the BofE, £27,000 now is the equivalent of £22,000 in 2020, just 4 years ago. Trouble is folk have been used to low inflation for decades and the haven't adjusted for the recent hump. Not helped by generally not having a matching increase in earnings.

But when you leave door open in summer it covers the fridge vent
