Another issue with archaelogy that I forgot to mention in the video is that it removes the element of “brushing carefully”, so as not to break the artifact inside, as shown at the 1.18 Minecraft Live. This removes any delicacy to the mechanic, and I think the system would really benefit from adding this back. Thanks for watching!
The new lighting engine rework is probably one of the best features added, especially in the long run as the game (especially the Java edition) desperately needed some much needed optimization. And in my case it has increased my general performance by 2.5-3 times on vanilla without using any optimization mods. Anyways good video.
That's fair, I feel like it hasn't made much of a noticeable impact for me, which is why I didn't really mention it. Glad to hear you're benefitting from it though!
Hey Magma, great video but I did notice an error, you mentioned being able to find the same kind of trail ruins in deserts and snowy biomes, but these structures only spawn in these biomes: Jungle, Old growth birch/spruce/pine, tiagas, and jungles , so they basically only spawn in one kind of biome, so I don't think they need variants
Snapshot 23w17a added floating symbols called glyphs (not a survival feature). You can look them up on the Minecraft Website, Wiki, or in the patch notes section of the launcher. Thanks for watching!
RIP Bedrock Torch placement on plowed dirt paths (at least for now), I'll need to send that in to Mojang because I wanted the flexibility to grace Java

This update is still not as good as the caves and cliffs for example but is still alot better than 1.19
