- Please enjoy this introduction to Hail Mary's 4x4 van conversion where I document the different steps in turning a 2 wheel drive shuttle bus into a 4x4 beast on 41" military tires! Follow along as I work with Traction Offroad LLC in Camarillo, CA where owner Tommy Arms flawlessly tackles a daunting project most shops would never attempt. Hail Mary info can be found on instagram @aux_built and Traction Offroad can be found @Traction.Offroad as well.

What's the overall cost for that vehicle and the build?
@@PatrickCole-md9bu Couple hundred thousand.
You guys knock it out of the park. Excellent fabrication and attention to detail...can't wait to see the final product.

Tommy's no rookie! THX you!
Love it and very proud to have our Vantage Optics headlights on such an awesome build! Congrats Brian, you build a monster!
Absolutely Scott, it's a no brainer for any econoline van!
Awesome build. Tommy has some awesome skills!
And he's not even 40 years old. Guy's grown up in the biz and it shows.
I just purchased a E450 and cannot wait to do this
I cannot wait for you to do it as well!
My guy with another amazing build!
WTF, is that "the Hail Mary"? I didnt recognize it at all, looks great!
Looking forward to seeing more - but dont stress it for the views. Its your channel and your livelihood, whatever schedule & ambitions works for you man :) keep it fun. Content is great no need to change anything
Thank you for the kind words, that means a lot. I would love to have covered the van build in the same way! Cheers!
LUV this build series and can't wait for more videos!
THX and appreciate the comment!
This is insane! Way to be brother. 8" lift with adjustable suspension!!
Got to get her east side this summer eh!!!
YES sir!@@auxbuilt4190
Fuck yeah ! I’ve been waiting for this video. Awesome job for the great video and the exceptional work at tra motorsports
Thank you for posting this !
Awesome Nick, thanks for watching for sure. The van came out great and this spring I'll do a walk around van tour and get her out in the dirt!
Such an amzing build and hope to accomplish a fraction of what you have done in my lifetime with my build.
May i ask what wheel set did you use and can you share a link? OPPS nevermind i just saw it in your info.
RUclips sucks. Nice to see you back. Build looks good.
Thank you haha for sure!
HELLO .THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR VÍDEOS. I LOVE THEM. MY REGARDS TO EVERYONE. FROM GUATEMALA CENTRAL AMÉRICA I'M MANUEL.
Do you have any videos, or do you plan to show a video of your window deletions? Would love to see that.
Does Plan B for the rear include a F450 rear axle with the longer rear springs? When I swapped my 1990 E350 I used all the suspension from the 2013 F250. All I had to do was modify and relocate the front leaf spring hanger for the longer leaf springs.
Nice man, that sounds like a good route. But my rear end is all good for this project, I just needed the rear leafs to hold the weight of the van better. I spec'd ATLAS Spring to build them at 8" lift for an 8k lb rear end spring weight, which is more than it is by 1000 lbs. After driving on these springs they ended up being a 4" lift. I had DEAVER Spring make new springs and they kick ass.
Currently working on my van and the hardest was the track bar bracket, there's no space 😅.
Such an amazing build.
What big brake kit are you using for front and rear?
Can you explain the rear tires? Is it a super single? Or how does that work. Have a similar build I’m designing
Yes it is a single rear wheel. Bora/Motorsport Tech wheel adapters will get you to the correct lug pattern and you can pick the thickness to get to the correct total width in the rear, to match the front.
Sweet will have to check that out! Can’t wait to see the road and off road test! We are still in the mechanical part of the build. The. We are moving torpedoing walls and interior. Axle swap will be the last of the project for us.
Beast ! ~peace~
Yewww thank you!
Where did you get the under-body boxes you have mounted on the driver side?
I've been looking everywhere for something just like that for my bus build.
part 2!
👍👍👍
If I want buy your solution for my e-450 cube. And if I travel the world in south american or europe or africa. then how to repair if I need to replace your custom made shock and suspension ?
Make it beefy enough like we did so that you can't break it!
What’s the width on the new tires?

Shackle flip?
Yes, ultimately we did this. Good call.
Who made the body! lol
I see a lot of bbs. Someone didn't clean the welds
Shakle flip the rear. Blocks suck on so many levels.
Block was temporary. We ended up flipping the shackle and getting Deaver Springs.
You’re not shitting when you say the details take as long or longer than the majority of the build to this point does . “ The Devil is in the details “ phrase didn’t just come from nowhere…. 😐
100% Sounds like you have built things like this before!!
@@auxbuilt4190 Oh yeah , just not quite on the scale size-wise as you are with this rig . Making something no one else has or has seen before is fun.😉
you should at least do a walk through so we can see the final build....
100% however I need to do it right and there are some final tweaks that I need to finish before that happens. I will shoot a van tour video on this van for sure.
Brian can you share with me the specs for Atlas Springs on Hail Mary? Awesome build my man.
❤
