    The Primavera is the right choice for those who really need the Vespa brand name. Just about everyone else will be happier with the Liberty. The larger wheels make for a better ride and the seating position (and the seat) is much more comfortable. Riding the Vespa, you can feel a little "perched". With the Liberty you feel more like you're sitting down in it.

      Wheels…..honda sh300 or sh125 wheels which are way bigger than the Vespa makes the scooter not as nimble or fun as the Vespa (it surprised me) seriously im not biased towards one or the other, but ridden both back to back.
      For example, the sh300 is hard and fast, the Vespa a bit slower, but feels like floating on a cloud in comparison and it’s the best scooter I’ve ever ridden around bends on….that’s the Vespa 2008 300 gts compared to 2009 to the latest Honda sh300.

      I got the piaggio 150. Honestly, I wish I would have bought a Beverly instead. The piaggio is a bit slow for me. Even though I use it on the streets it is hard to keep up with traffic in large boulevards without a full throttle. Will not recommend using it in highways.

    Love my liberty 150. For basically half the price, with bigger tires and far more functional, flat floor, there is no comparison for me.
    Take the couple extra grand you're saving and upgrade the headlight and get a top box and you're still ahead like 2 grand.
    I added a top box, windshield, side kickstand, and sportier mirrors and a quad lock, and still spent way less than a stock Vespa.

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  4 месяца назад +1

      It would depend on where you live. Check your provincial or state requirements. Sometimes all you need is a car license, sometimes a full motorcycle license, sometimes there are licenses for scooters or lower powered motorcycles. Lots of differences depending on where you are in the world.

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  Год назад

      There is likely a difference in the specs, but if you can ride one, you can ride the other. Seat height matters less on a scooter than a motorcycle, because if the seat was too tall to place both feet firmly on the ground at a stop, you could step in front of the seat and straddle the bike that way.

      They each have a slightly different seating position. Both will fit taller people, so it isn't a matter of more legroom or less legroom, it's a matter of which seating position you prefer. I like both, but I'd choose the Vespa for style. It's my personal favourite.

    Larger wheels are usually more comfy on rough roads

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  Год назад +2

      I'm not sure that I would say more comfy, but the larger diameter can allow them to be less affected by the bumps. I think it's most accurate to say that they do handle rough roads differently, and the larger wheels would likely offer some advantages with that.

    My instinct is to the Piaggio with the bigger wheel, and more motorcycle style - guess the ride could be better on rougher roads. Also, as a 'larger' person, I'd take the higher power motor option

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  Год назад +1

      Yeah, the 50cc version is great for certain areas with different licensing restrictions on larger engined scooters or motorcycles, but the 150 is the one that I'd go for with all other things being equal. I just think you'll use it more if you can go a little faster with ease.

  • @arcadia5607
