seeing Elisabet "in person" like this almost brought tears to my eyes... this game has one of the best lores in the modern generation, and I absolutelly love it all
If you’re looking for another really good story, try Ghost of Tsushima. The game itself is even prettier and even if you’re not into japanese culture I’m sure you can like the story and the beauty that the graphics bring to the game! Plus the internal conflicts of the main character just add to it even more!
The developers said that the map was to be way bigger but they scaled it down, so probably thats why these areas are still there cause they were scraped
Sometimes , the developers left that areas because they have to finish the game in certain time and make a shorter game than spected or left the map for future DLC / Expansions An example of this is the World of Warcraft , they left a lot of unaccesible maps and in the other expansions they used it for future game.
Aloy finding Elisabet in the end and picking up that trinket must me one of, if not the most, beautiful game moment I've ever witnessed. That music adds an extra layer of emotion over it as well. Simply amazing
I dunno man, seemed like a pretty lame ending to the game when I finished it (to me). I expected a time lapse of humanity being restored, Gaia coming back to life, that stuff.
Every time I watch the ending with Elizabeth in her final resting place it jerks my tears and I somehow need to start a new game same like Shepard in ME. Ty for this video, it just shows that Horizon is so much more than a game
Well, if you watch the interviews of “the making of HZD” GG does mention that originally the world was going to be much, much larger than it eventually ended up. My guess is all this beyond the map area is part of that original world that they just walled off because it wasn’t needed anymore. Still awesome. I would spend an ungodly amount of time exploring this if I played on PC, not on PS4.

Originally the game wasn't conceived to be a trilogy, so an early concept or pieces of what made way to the sequel had to be at that moment, like the lands of the Oseram or the Utaru, should have its space autogenerated in the map, even if Guerrilla games discarded or reused those areas.
I have easily spent over 1000 hers over 4 campaigns and i know that ill never get her on my PS4 . Im high school jealous right now. But thank you...still a feast for the senses and it still holds high amounts of aw and wonder.
Im glad we had the cutscene they did a beautiful job. Still I would have loved to be able to explore this area for myself. It hits different to actually be there and see Elisabet from this perspective and explore where she grew up for yourself. I hope they finally let us explore this are in forbidden west.
I've played the game 3 times so far. I always tear up at the end, at Elisabets grave. I always kept hoping we would meet her somehow. Such a badass with such a sad story...
This is easily the best game ever. I remember back around 2004, I played Half life 2 and I was so immersed in the story, in a way a movie could never accomplish. This game did that too, and much more! These are the only two times in my life I've been so immersed in a games story.
This game gave me all the emotions in the world. The way the story is set is just breathtaking. Combined with a fantastic gameplay. I recommend you to play Ori and the will of the wisps, it is my second favourite game

The fact there was a whole surrounding and playable area that connected to the main map means the devs inteneded to make the map bigger, the game longer, and probably have a final mission where you travel to Sobeck's ranch. They even have machines and different types of bandits around the map as if they were planning on giving you more encounters to have.
It's more likely that all the machines are there for testing purposes, and the desert with the Sobeck ranch were put exactly for the end cutscene I believe. But point of yours is good too.
I think they used these areas specifically to create the cutscenes. This would make it much easier for them if they needed to edit or remake something.
I think they should have used this in the game somehow. For example, unlock when you finish the game, and put in there some huge challenges, like an esplanade with 5 or 6 thunderclaws to fight at the same time or things like that.
If I didn't know any better I would say that this could be pre-production or some tinkering by a developer for Horizon forbidden West there's so much space off the map that it could be used for the sequel and the MP sees that you have never seen before could I be in assets never used but could be used in the sequel
When i have hear that horizon zero dawn forbidden west is coming out,i have sed to one youtube chanel.How cool would it be to add new map,and conect it with old map,and get a brand new continent.Man that would be so cool,and can you imagine how would it may look the rise of new continent from the bottom of the ocean,and merge with the old continent to create a new continent.PS:Best open world environment in ps4 games should allways be the globe.
Hey Nikita , I might've found a way . I'm not sure if it'll work but , I saw this guy finding playtest area video (this one:- ruclips.net/video/4FAXv2H-VUA/видео.html) . He was just behind a tall mountain on the (maybe) behind side of the Meridian (where we fight the eclipse to crash their network) I saw that it was (somewhat) connected to the place where my graphics went wild . We may have a lead that we can just go around those mountains and land behind , near the foothills of All-Mother with the flying mount glitch , make our way down the mountain somehow , and get to the Sobeck Ranch from there? I think I'm asking for a lot but , can you please confirm my theory by teleporting to each individual place? (I just went towards the the right from the brightmarket above the hills)
I don't know if I understood correctly, but as he said in the description, he used Cheat Engine to get outside of the map. And I'm pretty sure there are borders everywhere on the map. I tried going over a lot of places on PS4, but all of them started loading my last save.
@@Nikita_Ign So it means I would have to take these matters in my own hand . As I said in my last reply , I went WAY beyond world border but Aloy stayed within limits . If I can get the mount through the border and back , while not going far from the border , I might just be able to do it . Well , nothing's wrong in trying , isn't it? But I might have to wait for a month for that
I haven't. And the community too. I myself went through the whole map behind the "legal" borders and found only 3 interesting places (which are on my channel). The other space is just blank or interesting mountains and forests. It seems that the horus is really far away from the map (where we cannot get by any means) or it's just a video-cutscene that was prerecorded in a place with the horus, which was then removed from the map. (just came to a thought that it is more likely to be pre recorded, because in other important cutscenes you can see Aloy in her default clothing, and that means one thing - prerecorded)
Suit or not, I seriously doubt her body would be so well preserved after 1,000 years like what is shown in the game but hey, suspension of disbelief right?
@@Nikita_Ign As I suggested on another post perhaps the sequel will start with Aloy having made Elizabet's home her own before receiving info that sets her off on her journey west
There were always 30-50 fps in my recording, so I chose the 1080p50 when I was rendering my video. It just made the video size smaller, and it was a little faster to upload because I have a really slow upload speed.
Can you still go there? My cheat engine no longer turns off the barriers. I was able to explore the whole map before it stopped me . When i went to the invisible climbing area, there were nora braves on top and bandits below.
they should of unlocked a chunk of it just for hunting grounds missions and robot areas and have the ranch there that you would travel too end game,all that map wasted
Lol what the heck.... Seeing enemies in an unexplorable area is the last thing I expected! On another note tho, why does this video max out at 50FPS? VERY odd! Why isn't it 60FPS??
When rendering, I set the 50fps cap. I haven't had more than 45fps in the recording anyway. But yeah, the spawn of enemies in almost random locations is odd
Uhhh so Nikita , I was wrong . I couldn't go to the same old location . But if this "Frozen Wilds" mount glitch is the highest , I need to do what I can.
Guerrilla added an anti teleport system. Also try to teleport further. However, there are 2 places that I know that don't teleport you back. These are the 2 developer testing grounds, which are on my channel. If you teleport into one of those places, you should be fine. Then you can go by foot/mount to the Sobeck Ranch campfire and you can use the fast forwarding cheat option to get there fast.
@@Nikita_Ign Are you playing this in PC, by the way ? I saw a cursor and what looked like a Steam notification. Is that why you were able to go to the Sobeck Ranch? I could totally be wrong.
This is all vanilla. I just used trainers to get over the borders. There are other videos on my channel with the other places, like the Very Secret Developer Grounds

@@overdrive04 thx. Trainers are basically cheats which are only available on PC. This way I teleported behind the borders using trainers(before update 1.9 I think)
The cutscenses are in realtime, so they had to really make it To make it load in screen, they campfire is probally where they teleported Aloy to to start the "cutscene"

I mean.. They could let us see this place in the next one, but this is a complete opposite of west. This is the Eastern side of the map. So, I don't have high hopes to see this in the FW

I think this is going to be the forbiden west and created this place to test some things aswel and we did see aloy walk acros a high way field whit sand so maybe expect this in the forbiden west

@@Prokerboss Gaia being restored requires tracking down the other subfunctions. Which would be a lot of story to just skip over.

The areas made by the procedural generator are actually kind of cool. Have an entirely different feel to the rest of the game.

The fact there was a whole surrounding and playable area that connected to the main map means the devs inteneded to make the map bigger, the game longer, and probably have a final mission where you travel to Sobeck's ranch. They even have machines and different types of bandits around the map as if they were planning on giving you more encounters to have.
It's more likely that all the machines are there for testing purposes, and the desert with the Sobeck ranch were put exactly for the end cutscene I believe. But point of yours is good too.
I think they used these areas specifically to create the cutscenes. This would make it much easier for them if they needed to edit or remake something.
So hyped for the new game, doing another play through of zero dawn. Let's get back into this amazing lore of the past.

I think they should have used this in the game somehow. For example, unlock when you finish the game, and put in there some huge challenges, like an esplanade with 5 or 6 thunderclaws to fight at the same time or things like that.
What's the use of thunderclaws? It would just remove the emotional aspect of Elisabeth lying dead in her home.

If I didn't know any better I would say that this could be pre-production or some tinkering by a developer for Horizon forbidden West there's so much space off the map that it could be used for the sequel and the MP sees that you have never seen before could I be in assets never used but could be used in the sequel

Hey Nikita , I might've found a way . I'm not sure if it'll work but , I saw this guy finding playtest area video (this one:- ruclips.net/video/4FAXv2H-VUA/видео.html) . He was just behind a tall mountain on the (maybe) behind side of the Meridian (where we fight the eclipse to crash their network) I saw that it was (somewhat) connected to the place where my graphics went wild . We may have a lead that we can just go around those mountains and land behind , near the foothills of All-Mother with the flying mount glitch , make our way down the mountain somehow , and get to the Sobeck Ranch from there? I think I'm asking for a lot but , can you please confirm my theory by teleporting to each individual place? (I just went towards the the right from the brightmarket above the hills)
I don't know if I understood correctly, but as he said in the description, he used Cheat Engine to get outside of the map. And I'm pretty sure there are borders everywhere on the map. I tried going over a lot of places on PS4, but all of them started loading my last save.

If I can get the mount through the border and back , while not going far from the border , I might just be able to do it . Well , nothing's wrong in trying , isn't it? Be good if the game's prologue has Aloy rebuilding Elisabet's home as her own then gets information sending her on her quest to the west.
It could make sense, geographically. Elisabet's home was near Carson City, Nevada, which is really on the way from Utah to Northern California.

I haven't. And the community too. I myself went through the whole map behind the "legal" borders and found only 3 interesting places (which are on my channel). The other space is just blank or interesting mountains and forests.
It seems that the horus is really far away from the map (where we cannot get by any means) or it's just a video-cutscene that was prerecorded in a place with the horus, which was then removed from the map.
(just came to a thought that it is more likely to be pre recorded, because in other important cutscenes you can see Aloy in her default clothing, and that means one thing - prerecorded)
This was maybe planed to be the end game place unlocked

There were always 30-50 fps in my recording, so I chose the 1080p50 when I was rendering my video. It just made the video size smaller, and it was a little faster to upload because I have a really slow upload speed.

Kind of annoying that Rost's grave is accessible in the PS4 version but this isn't She was a bigger character in the game than Rost.
Can you still go there? My cheat engine no longer turns off the barriers. I was able to explore the whole map before it stopped me . When i went to the invisible climbing area, there were nora braves on top and bandits below.
Just use trainers to teleport. I didn't use cheat engine in this video

When rendering, I set the 50fps cap. I haven't had more than 45fps in the recording anyway.

Guerrilla added an anti teleport system. Also try to teleport further. However, there are 2 places that I know that don't teleport you back. These are the 2 developer testing grounds, which are on my channel. If you teleport into one of those places, you should be fine. Then you can go by foot/mount to the Sobeck Ranch campfire and you can use the fast forwarding cheat option to get there fast.
@@Nikita_Ign Are you playing this in PC, by the way ? I saw a cursor and what looked like a Steam notification. Is that why you were able to go to the Sobeck Ranch? I could totally be wrong.

This is all vanilla. I just used trainers to get over the borders.

@@overdrive04 thx. Trainers are basically cheats which are only available on PC. This way I teleported behind the borders using trainers(before update 1.9 I think)

This shouldn't be a playable area. Campfire is for the devs I assume
The cutscenses are in realtime, so they had to really make it To make it load in screen, they campfire is probally where they teleported Aloy to to start the "cutscene"
Rs doesn't make one fast. just saying. (even if it is a muscle memory for 'just in case' of speedrunning).
