Trumps administration's lack of conflict was due entirely due to luck. Nobody included Israeli intelligence knew that hamas was going to attack
...and nobody knew that Putin is going to attack Ukraine. It was the same with the economy. Nobody knew that covid-19 was going to wreck such havoc with the economy, which affected every economy equally around the world.
It's sad/scary that the vice presidential debate is so much better than the presidential debate.

It's clear whether you are Democrat or Republican, these 2 VP candidiates should be running for the office of the presidency and not the current ones.

I don’t care which side of the aisle you’re on, this is how a debate should go 👏 People who actually answer the questions and are respectful of one another. Our two presidential candidates can’t even do that much.
I blame that on the guy who's been the common denominator in all of the tumultuous debates he's been part of during the last 3 presidential elections. Not as fair to say that about Harris, as you've only seen her debate said common denominator.
Trump is the one who has been a chaotic monkey wrench in US politics for the past decade. It's just him and how he unfortunately forces his debate opponents to stoop to his level.
Look at old footage of Obama and McCain debating, and Obama and Romney. Trump is the odd one out. Sure I don't trust politicians, they all have some bs and a pipe dream to sell you, but regardless of party, at least they generally have some decorum. Trump made our country a laughing stock to the world. Hopefully we make the right decision next month and we can get back on track...

The bias against Sen Vance is as bad or worse than expected. "Sure, Sen Vance, you have one minute to respond to our preferred Marxist candidate, but we're going to ask you another question to answer in that one minute, so you won't really have time to respond to Walz's bull, but we'll give him a minute to actually respond to you, which, of course, isn't how we said we would run the 'debate'." I’m on the Trump/Vance side but I gotta say Vance and Walz handled this debate much better than the head candidates. That right here is what a civil debate should be. No insults, no interruptions, or anything like that.
Vance looks like online class tutor lecturing whilst Walz looks like a student jotting down some notes from the online class
I'm not American but I have observed that when the media started "Humanizing" Trump or when there is "civility" in political debates like it was in 2016, there is a greater chance for Trump to win. In 2016 there were heated debates between Trump and Hillary but they met each other at a Charity event and poke jokes at each other. The Democrats and the media have learnt that the best way for Democrats to win is to dehumanize Trump. That is why I think Kamala just turned down the Charity dinner event.
She's made a big mistake turning down the roast dinner! Walter Mondal was the last presidential candidate to turn that down and he lost!

Vance’s point is 1) the moderators were lying (their “fact check” had a lie by omission), 2) they didn’t fact check Walz when he lied about his state’s abortion policies or Kamala on the border or anything else, and 3) they were supposed to be fair and allow the voters to decide, not try to be biased and sway opinions with snide one-sided comments
Not gonna lie, JD Vance is probably one of the best candidates I've seen in a presidential debate. He is very well-spoken and comes across as very humble.

He said that illegal immigrants are applying for asylum - LIE. People applying for asylum from outside the country or at the border are applying legally for asylum. It is the screwed up immigration process that results in 7 year waits before a hearing that Trump prevented from being fixed that is the problem.
After watching this debate, I think it's safe to say that Tim Walz is actually the "weird" one here.

as a minnesotan. ill give walz some credit on his debate skills, hes always been a good speaker and able to quote the bible about do unto others blah blah blah.. however his track record, much like harris, he disappears when needed most. His stance on the border is irrelevant to me because his stance on asylum seeking migrants and policies throughout minnesota undercuts all of mn citizens.. 10 billion dollar tax surplas squandered. It mightve even been 20 billion.. and I thought.. thats it? how much of that are they hiding or overapending on basic government functions. Over 10,000 lakes here, some with hundreds of lake front properties that pay astronomical property taxes. Whered that money go? Where did Walz go during covid. Where was the national guard during the riots after george floyd. How come we never heard from Walz when the public had so many questions? How come asylum holders defrauding the state of minnesota hundreds of millions of dollars with the food for kids scandal that happened under his watch? How come Minnesotans are paying more than ever on energy bills if we have these so called wind farms and solar farms that were supposed to bring costs down for minnesotans.. Hes a pocket stuffing, lying career politician only looking out for his buddies, thats why!!

Yes, as the presidential candidate when Trump told the Republican party to pull support for the border bill they did. Trump wanted to campaign on the issue. How well did he do to fix the border the first 4 years he was in office? Clearly not very, many promises were not met such as Mexico paying, inhumane tactics were employed, and its remained an issue for 8 years. When there was a solution on the horizon, Republicans were the ones who flipped their stances and blocked the border reinforcement and supply of additional aid.

I haven’t seen much of Vance so didn’t really have much of an opinion on him, but I agree after watching the debate I was shocked by his articulation. Both candidates did very well though.
I was an undecided independent voter. JD Vance is outstanding and I have to admit I will be voting for Trump/Vance.

If you saw how Walz dealt with the George Floyd riots in Minneapolis you wouldn’t respect him. He let the riots continue when he had the opportunity to deploy national guard while our police officers were being overrun in their precincts and had to evacuate risking their lives. Walz doesn’t care about his own citizens when it matters he only cares about how he appears to the woke progressives.

I know this is a touchy subject but worth a read…. Walz brought up his faith and even quoted Matthew about how to treat our neighbors yet he said we should stay out of the abortion topic. I find that very contradictory especially in regards to treating our neighbors. He wants us to treat our neighbors in which how we want to be treated but is ok with taking life in the womb. Just doesn’t make sense. Anywho that’s about it…. I agree with people how it was a more refreshing debate between both parties.
