Da Bossman face it though. She has a more stable normal life than Nathan does, so of course she sounds “annoying” to you. She just wants Nathan, the guy she loves, to quit adventuring around - a hobby that CAN kill him - and just live a normal life.
And as they grow older, and the mundane sameness of their lives and the reality of her life sets in, she'll look at Drake as a man she no longer desires or cares for. Because he is normal now. Safe. Boring. Unexciting to her mind as well as her body. That's about the time she either has an affair with someone like Drake used to be (young, fun, exciting) or outright leaves him. Of course his offspring will be a teen or a young adult when this happens and Drake's best years behind him (and with no son to continue his exciting adventures and exceptional bloodline while providing pre-Druckmann fans something to look forward again from ND). Thanks for everything sucker. Maybe then we'll get another Uncharted sequel which will be something special, for an old Drake is better than none at all and everything else in between.

manof1005holds I know right? In the course of 4 games (I don’t have a ps vita, aside from playing a demo at a store I haven’t played the vita version fully) I must’ve killed Nate 1000s of times 😂
For me, this was the best scene in the entire franchise. It really shows how much Elena loved Nathan and how she felt betrayed by him for not telling her the truth.
To me U4 is really all about their realationship... Everything that happens is the catalyst to them working out their marriage to get to that "happily ever after" ending... So many layers in this game but ultimately their relationship needed to finally get right, it's been a mess the whole series.... Everything from Sam and their family history to the big lie that pulled Nate back into the shit, all needed to happen. Brilliant writing.
Why isn't anyone talking about the selfishness of Sam here? He just saw his brother's marriage start to break down because of his desire to go after Avery's treasure. You would think he would pick this moment to come clean with Nate.
2:00 I like the subtle fidgeting with her wedding ring in the middle of their argument, subtle nuance like this makes is one of the things that make this game so good
People might find Elena annoying because she might have taken away Nate's identity as a professional thief. This guy is a legend in the underworld of thieves. I like Elena though, she is a beast in her own right. She's just tired of this lifestyle and just wants to settle down in peace with Nate. Great scene.
Yeah, they settled down and were happy with their life. You'd probably be devastated too if you found out that your spouse went back into their old life threatening habit and kept it hidden from you for weeks.
I mean you got to understand it from his point of view. Your older brother, who you thought you left for dead comes back and needs help. I'm sure anyone who loved their big brother would do it. I can understand why he didn't tell her, she'd want to come along and he doesn't want that.
SirWolfTheII Or she did not want him to go at all. Sam might be his older brother but she's his wife. She's not about to be a widow in the first year of her marriage.
Lee Nuxunumo no Nate was worried about his brother you go for 15 years thinking your brothers dead and you did nothing to get him back and now he shows up and says he needs help Elena doesn't get it yes it's a marriage and yes Nate shouldn't have lied to her but maybe it was for the best I mean come on now it's family business and when it's family you have to do everything you can to accomplish it
Mariezee Phyllix that means nothing compared to what Sam and Nate had yes Nate and Elena love each other and they are married but that is nothing compared to brotherhood that Sam and Nate have, they were orphans when they're dad left them and their mom died so all they had was each other they grew up doing what they did they fought together, ate together, lied together, stole together and bleed the same blood together since they were kids you cannot compare that to what Elena and Nate have you can't Sam and Nate are family that is better than any marriage on the planet
Literally everyone in this scene gives a performance that demolishes my heart strings. Sam, with the giant lie he had been telling probably feels so guilty about this. Sully tried to offer aid to Nate and he was just shoved to the side. Nate almost lost his wife here. And Elena had to deal with the shock of finding out that not only had Nate been lying to her for all those weeks, but ALSO, that Nate had a brother that was thought to be dead but is alive that she never knew about. I feel bad for everyone involved here, it really sucks
Yeah well, that's just, like, your opinion, man It happened so quick, no one expected it, and *she* was the one who came into their place where should they go ?
Yeah well, that's just, like, your opinion, man But it wasn't private at first .. and nate was intoducing his brother to her so they had to be there, then suddenly she cried and left because nate is a dumbass .. but I get your point.
@@sammyantoine6770 Because who the hell does Nate think he is, to be bossing someone that’s been thieving since Nate was in diapers? It’s a complete lack of respect to your elders.
Are there actually people who think Elena is wrong here? Nathan lied to his wife, went out on a wild chase risking his life and Elena had every right to be mad at him. He doesn't even seem sorry when she confronted him about it.
03:17Wow, look at her face. Even though I wasn't Nate, I felt extremely guilty just looking at her face. You can see the heartbreak in her face. That's what I love about Naughty Dog games.
This just makes the twist later on even more heart-wrenching. He didn't have to risk Elena; he never had to, but...a dreamer of the day, convinced him otherwise.
I felt bad after this, I felt guilty, like if someone I loved had actually got mad and disapponted at me. "If you're done lying to me then stop lying to yourself" Wonderfull acting.
damn, come to think of it I side more with Elena in this scene after finding out Sam's lie about his true intentions to find Avery's treasure. Sam was essentially risking Nate's life who is a settled retired father and husband all for the sake of his materialistic fantasy
This is the scene that shows why he couldnt carry on with this life, didnt use to like this game as much as i wouldve thought but after watching scenes like these and the ending again, this game really is something special.
KitchensAreHot so imagine that you’re brother who you thought was dead for 15 years who was all you had for family comes back and then tells you he is going to die if he doesn’t get this treasure. You would really think she would be okay with that? “Hey honey, I’m going to go out and put my life on the line to safe my brother who I didn’t tell you about yet, okay?”

Elena is actually a really great wife. Nate is lucky to have her. Never lie to your woman because when they lie to you, it'll hurt more than getting kicked in the balls.
Or she could’ve been looking at them, because the moment Nathan saw Elena in there it focused on his face for a few seconds, she had a few seconds to turn her face around when you actually saw her
she was okay nathan was really a fool. being sad over something so petty; he should stick with his decisions till the end and not have hesitated to tell Elena the current situation.
Five years ago, I used to think Elena was exaggerating. Now I realize how wrong and foul Nathan was to her. I wouldn't allow things like this to happen in my own relationship either. It's actually really terrible.
I absolutely love Elena in this scene especially when she asks if there ever was a Malaysia job 😬 you cant even defend my boy nate he lied for weeks...put yourself in her shoes
You kinda have to forgive Nathan in this scene cause you find out later that there wasn’t any need to win Sam’s freedom back with the treasure; he was already freed by Rafe. I mean come on - the dude is just standing there, silent, and letting his lie go deeper, which ended up tearing Nathan’s relationships apart.
@@wolfmanflame12 You should still never lie to your wife about something like this. Especially when the secret involves a life threatening treasure hunt, with mercenaries chasing after you, trying to kill you. And Nate wasn't exactly really FORCED to lie about this.
@@wolfmanflame12 I understand that he wanted to save his brother, and perhaps not wanna involve Elena in it cause she fears she could get hurt. And don't forget, she can handle dangerous situations pretty well. She proves that in the earlier two games.
@@Elake_Simon Yeah I agree with you. I would wager that in that moment, he couldn't think straight given the sudden appearance of his brother. I would see 1 of 3 things happening: 1. Elena would insist that she comes with him and he would say no and leave. 2. She would be persistent about tagging along until he lets her. 3. She would forbid it leading him to sneak out anyway.
How could Sam keep his lie going after witnessing this happen to his own brother after dragging him into it after Nathan said he quit the thief life that he was in
If no one didn’t notice this detail about Sully is that he still chose to do what Nate says even when he said it a little rough or not intentional, I know that Sully may be doing it for Elena but he had the chance to continue their journey with Nate. This is not a game, it's not an art, it's a masterpiece
Remember men, whenever you go off to do something dangerous, ALWAYS lie to wife about it! 0% of the time, it works out every time!
Cross Entertainment it works for some time
im in love with a fictional character...
yeah ikr, nate is so fucking hot and kind
Yea Nadine Im in love her
Sullivan
Nick Jonathan Elena? you're in luck her voice actor emily rose looks just like her
My boy Sully. Actually I dont have a favourite. They're all so well developed
if you were killed, i wouldn't even know about.
Me: Well I got him killed about 10 times
manof1005holds I know right? In the course of 4 games (I don’t have a ps vita, aside from playing a demo at a store I haven’t played the vita version fully) I must’ve killed Nate 1000s of times 😂
Sully: “oh my god, Nate!”
only 10 times ? x)
@@Venomous-n7j NAAAAAAATE!!! NOOOOOO!!!
For me, this was the best scene in the entire franchise. It really shows how much Elena loved Nathan and how she felt betrayed by him for not telling her the truth.
"If you're done lying to me then you should stop lying to yourself."
Man I genuely felt actual guilt after that.
Everyone knows
True that’s crazy man
2:00 I like the subtle fidgeting with her wedding ring in the middle of their argument, subtle nuance like this makes is one of the things that make this game so good
Nathan really found the most beautiful treasure of all, and thats elena. Damn
How can anyone think Elena is in the wrong here!? Nate LIED for weeks, YEARS if you count him not telling her about Sam!
Not Years he had no reason to tell him about sam
@@onlyfactsmatter7268They’re married, he absolutely should have told her he had a brother who died.
Put Emily Rose in Elena's outfit and damn she looks fine
Elena kills it here; she's right, Drake was a jerk :(
Lee Nuxunumo I don't think jerk is right, I think bastard is a more accurate term. Sam was the jerk with how he lied about being in danger
This is such a powerful scene.
whats disappointing is that nate is married to the one woman who would actually come close to understanding him yet he still lied
I just kept thinking "Why are Sully and Sam still here?"
If i was caught in such an awkward couple fight, I'd just leave and give them some privacy
Yeah well, that's just, like, your opinion, man It happened so quick, no one expected it, and *she* was the one who came into their place where should they go ?
REAL
I don't mean for good, i mean go outside to smoke some cigars until its over.
Yeah well, that's just, like, your opinion, man But it wasn't private at first .. and nate was intoducing his brother to her so they had to be there, then suddenly she cried and left because nate is a dumbass .. but I get your point.
“You want to be helpful, Sullivan?” That shit got me mad
Late Comment
But Why? Frustration?
He didn't have to risk Elena; he never had to, but...a dreamer of the day, convinced him otherwise.
i got really pissed at Sam with what i learned later
I felt bad after this, I felt guilty, like if someone I loved had actually got mad and disapponted at me.
"If you're done lying to me then stop lying to yourself" Wonderfull acting.
The most touching line in here was when Elene said if you are killed I wouldn't even know about this. That's why I root for her
I didn't see the tears when playing the game, I saw them in this video. Elena's tears broke my heart.
damn, come to think of it I side more with Elena in this scene after finding out Sam's lie about his true intentions to find Avery's treasure. Sam was essentially risking Nate's life who is a settled retired father and husband all for the sake of his materialistic fantasy
You know after everything from Uncharted 1 to 3 it hurts when Nathan had been rude to Sully.
One should be respectful towards elders....... Kids these days
This game looks amazing not just because of it's graphics but also the facial animations. They really make the scenes that much more emotional.
This is the scene that shows why he couldnt carry on with this life, didnt use to like this game as much as i wouldve thought but after watching scenes like these and the ending again, this game really is something special.
"Was there ever a Malaysia job?" Goddamn this line, the sound of her voice, her facial expressions....
The attention to detail of the facial expressions is amazing.
Nate was really hard on Sully thouuugh, it really breaks my heart
This broke my heart. Made me feel angry and sad at the same time while playing after this scene :((
Elena is beautiful Nate is lucky to have a beautiful wife!
“if you were killed, I wouldn’t even have known”
Clearly you haven’t seen me clear out a whole town of enemies while on some fucked up LSD in the middle of a desert
I don't get why people say Elena is annoying. What if you love someone and he lies about where he is for weeks. Also the acting is really good
Every cutscene in this game is worth watching. Even to this day I’m blown away by how much chemistry is in even his scene.
3:15 everyone knows as soon as the girl says “you do what you have to do” your fucked XD
2:24
who remember the conversation between lamar and trevor (from gta5) when trevor was driving a big truck with 6 cars in them and franklin was sleeping.when they were talking about micheal lamar start saying "ohh he lied to me" trying to show trevor how he sounds when complaining
don't get me wrong uncharted 4 is way better
Lol
When he said "I knew you would react like this!" i jumped across the room laughing and yelling "you really fcked this up boy" and when he said "if you want to be helpfull thing" to sully i sat down and i didnt want to see nate for the rest of the game.
Elena is actually a really great wife. Nate is lucky to have her. Never lie to your woman because when they lie to you, it'll hurt more than getting kicked in the balls.
the look on his face when he came in the room? YOU WERE STANDING BACKWARDS! HOW DID YOU SEE IT?!
erekle turashvili She heard the excitement in his voice before he came in
Or she could’ve been looking at them, because the moment Nathan saw Elena in there it focused on his face for a few seconds, she had a few seconds to turn her face around when you actually saw her
she was okay nathan was really a fool. being sad over something so petty; he should stick with his decisions till the end and not have hesitated to tell Elena the current situation.
Five years ago, I used to think Elena was exaggerating. Now I realize how wrong and foul Nathan was to her. I wouldn't allow things like this to happen in my own relationship either. It's actually really terrible.
“Its different this time”
“Oh my god” - amazing
This game did in less than 6 minutes what most movies fail to do with two hours.
"but, but I can explain" Everytime you get caught
Elena saying “oh my god” at 2:50 is me when I get homework in all six periods.
This scene resonates so hard for those that lost a partner due to a meaningless lie
"The look on your face when you walked in..." Great line, although Elena wasn't looking at Nate, she was facing the wall
sam in the background is just standing there feeling bad
I absolutely love Elena in this scene especially when she asks if there ever was a Malaysia job 😬 you cant even defend my boy nate he lied for weeks...put yourself in her shoes
Damn this is fantastic..absolute fantastic!
She is a well written character... i really like her.She was always there to save nate eventho he bailed on her many times
all the game developers should learn something from naughty dog man they are the best developers the world ever seen.Amazing
Nate and Elena probably wouldn't have married if it wasn't for Sully. He kept Nate's marriage ring until the end of Uncharted 3.
I've got lectured with my wife because of this.
Death Seeker you went after a treasure to save your recently not dead brother?
i got lectured by my mom because she saw me play this and told me to be a good husband when i grow up 😂😂
You kinda have to forgive Nathan in this scene cause you find out later that there wasn’t any need to win Sam’s freedom back with the treasure; he was already freed by Rafe. I mean come on - the dude is just standing there, silent, and letting his lie go deeper, which ended up tearing Nathan’s relationships apart.
Exactly. People are looking at this from her PoV and completely disregarding Nate's.
@@wolfmanflame12 You should still never lie to your wife about something like this. Especially when the secret involves a life threatening treasure hunt, with mercenaries chasing after you, trying to kill you. And Nate wasn't exactly really FORCED to lie about this.
@@Elake_Simon Well yeah I know that. I just feel like no one here is even trying to remotely think about how Nate feels about all of this.
@@wolfmanflame12 I understand that he wanted to save his brother, and perhaps not wanna involve Elena in it cause she fears she could get hurt. But no matter what excuse Nate has, Elena has every right to be upset and torn about all this. Because...well, like what my earlier comment said.
And don't forget, she can handle dangerous situations pretty well. She proves that in the earlier two games.
@@Elake_Simon Yeah I agree with you. I would wager that in that moment, he couldn't think straight given the sudden appearance of his brother. I would see 1 of 3 things happening:
1. Elena would insist that she comes with him and he would say no and leave.
2. She would be persistent about tagging along until he lets her.
3. She would forbid it leading him to sneak out anyway.
I like the way Elena says "And given the Shoreline soliders that are all over town"
0:08 *Photo taken the moment before the disaster*
This is such a good scene we’re their ARE PEOPLE DEFENDING EACHOTHER. Let’s appreciate that.
How could Sam keep his lie going after witnessing this happen to his own brother after dragging him into it after Nathan said he quit the thief life that he was in
Even I felt very tense watching this scene.
I like how Sully simply says he's sorry
*"Was THERE Ever... A MALAYSIA JOB--"*
Nate : *Oof*
feel like people find her annoying didn't play the first 3 and understand their relationship well enough because this is a masterfully made scene
If no one didn’t notice this detail about Sully is that he still chose to do what Nate says even when he said it a little rough or not intentional, I know that Sully may be doing it for Elena but he had the chance to continue their journey with Nate. And he did went for Elena and keep an eye on her which is how Elena got to Libertalia.
In this scene I cried for five minutes straight
This scene made me shiver
Elena: if your done lying to me you need to stop lying to yourself. I have a plane to catch
*she walks out*
Nate: *sighs*
Sam: you okay brother?
Nate: yes I’m fine. Come on Shane let’s go pack up. Shane?
Sam: come on buddy we gotta go
Me: I’m not going
Sam: what do you mean we have treasure to find
Me: no you guys have treasure to find I am not setting foot on another one of Nathan’s adventures after what I’ve witnessed
Nate: look I know your upset with me but trust me on this one
Me: trust you? After what you did? You lied to Elena for weeks and you didn’t listen to me when I said to just tell her the truth!
Sully: hey champ calm down you’ll feel much better after a ride out on sea
Me: shut up Victor I am not going on another adventure with a liar and a thief like Nathan Drake
Sam: hey! Don’t talk to my brother like that
Nate: Shane just relax let’s put all of this aside and we’ll start fresh in the morning
Me: *i slap Nathan* shut up Nathan just shut up
Sam: Calm down Shane!
Me: stay out of this Sam!
*i pack my bags and head for the door*
Sully: hey where are you going?
Me: I’m going home
Sully: come on buddy don’t be like that
Me: no! I am done! *I call Rafe*
Rafe: hey Shane-o what’s up?
Me: Rafe pick me up now!
Rafe: ok buddy what’s wrong?
Me: just pick me up and take me home
Rafe: ok on my way
Nate: who was that?
Me: Rafe
Sully, Sam, and Nate: RAFE!?
Me: yeah
Nate: why the hell would you do that? Are you nuts!?
Me: yes and here’s a lie about myself I’ve been hiding for years. I work with Rafe
Nate: what?
Me: yep and here’s a parting message *i point a gun at Nathan*
Sam: Shane No!!
*i fire a shoot Nathan’s foot*
Nate: AAAAHHHHH
Me: so long Nathan Drake
Rafe: let’s go champ
Me: on my way Rafe let’s go!
The animation on the faces in this game and The Last of Us are as good as it gets.
The acting is great as well. And personally, I find it just as great as if it was from an actual movie. Also personally, a big shame on you and even a big F-you to Quentin Tarantino who thinks video games aren’t cinematic. Acting in video games have come a very, very long way since games like Pong and the original Super Mario Bros. That pretentious auteur’s been living under a rock as far as how good video game acting has become.
Elena is like the mom telling nate to not lie and nate is sad he lied to his wife
Notice how sully looks all funny in this scene. He called Elena
This is the best scene in the game.
When she takes a step back from him when he tries to close the distance... Man...
6 years ago, and the facial capturing is still beyond incredible, unlike one of the mass effect titles…(I know there’s a story branching issue they’d have to face)
One of the greatest games ever made.
