Once my programmer friend said "this is a flawless game ,if it was a movie, it would take all the Oscars" I agree with that...But the game of the year award went to Overwatch... How?!?!?!?
The game's just barely is a game; no offense. It puts you in very shallow gameplay loops to tell a good story; but as far as interaction and meaningful choice goes, not so much. Best storytelling it is.
Dillon Carpenter it was missing any supernatural element (which was a standard for the games and was a defining element) it has a serious lack of puzzles and features more moments of just walking or driving around while listening to dialogue, which if the story was better I might not mind, but it’s not. I’m the other games, there was always a goal, and an event that diverted the goal. (1) Reach the treasure first, now save sully and stop the bad guys. (2) Find the treasure first, now stop the bad guys from possibly taking over the world. (3) Find the treasure first, now stop the bad guys from using the treasure to gain power and negatively effect the world. (4) Help your sporadic brother find a treasure to save his life, never mind now let’s save him and forget the treasure. One of these is not like the other. Now I don’t mind change, but it needs to be good. Sam’s character, not good. He shows up out of nowhere and takes Nate from his wife and his life and throws him in danger and nearly gets both of themselves killed, the whole time lying about his intentions. It’s not good. The villains are lame and generic, Alcazar would’ve been a much better villain, he has a cartel, they don’t need to throw in a random private army out of nowhere. And in the end, it just felt flat, like they were trying to remake The Last of Us, which doesn’t really fit in Uncharted, cause it was never truly about the cinematic elements, it was about action and adventure. Yeah 4 has some good action in it, but it doesn’t have enough, most action has been replaced by cutscenes and talking sections to progress the not interesting story. If I ignore the story, then yeah, it’s pretty damn good. But in terms of “Uncharted” it doesn’t work.
I just parked in the cave behind the waterfall at the beginning of the Madagascar chapter. I guess the car has to be dirty and you have to park the car in water
I just got done replaying the series with my brother. This was probably one of the best detailed games I've ever played and I absolutely love it. I was sad when I had ti finish it. The small details, the story, characters, dialogue, just everything was soooooooo amazing.
There’s a shitton of details put into the “Marooned” chapter, there’s a lot of paths you can take to reach your destination, each one of them having something extra, rocks breaking, waterfall into Nate’s face, hell Nate will even comment on the fact that you are going in circles if you got through one cave twice
Yup also if you play it on Crushing difficulty this is where you will see the Heaviest Machine Gun Guys for the first time... oh and you can kill them without guns. just jump on them twice (so many people actually don't know this)
Oh if you want a hint then watch out in chapter "No escape" basically there's an entirely new enemy type added on this difficulty that appears here and some appear somewhere in Libertalia (I don't remember where) anyway he's called the hunter, in case you don't know of him from the multiplayer, his strategy is to run towards you and grab you, you're gonna have to mash the shit out of the triangle button or he'll just break your neck. don't try to attack him directly with melee, he will always grab you. attack him from cover or shoot him up first, you'll enter a short sequence of a cool fistfight that will kill him if no-one interrupts you. also Elena and Sam can save you from his choke, but that happened rarely to me. Just watch out for heavy breathing and a gas mask, that gives him away,he WILL try to sneak up from behind. I'd be easier to shoot him but he's moving too fast and never stops, and it would look way less cool than the alternative. This is him as a multiplayer skin: i.ytimg.com/vi/CeFI7sZnV2k/maxresdefault.jpg
o Knightz o oh dang that's awesome! :O Can I suggest a detail? In the chapter when you're out in open sea, in certain cave interiors, if the sunlight is beaming through cracks, you can see dust particles floating in the air shown from the sun's light!
I know this isn’t really a detail thing, but since you’re playing for the 3rd time may I suggest the Crushing difficulty. It doesn’t only make enemies harder, but actually adds an entirely new type of enemy on the Island - The hunter. Aslo the Heavy machine gun guys can be killed in Melee combat if you jump on them twice, and on Crushing difficulty, there’s an extra one found in chapter 14 (just be prepared)

Xcel_ Virus Name someone better, no one else has better stories, and maybe only Rockstar puts this much attention to detail. Naughty Dog is on top, and this is coming from someone who's had every console in the past 2 decades and played hundreds of games.
yeah for me personally Naughty Dog is on the top I also recently realized how I love FromSoftware and the souls games, the gameplay is finally challenging (worse than any uncharted on Brutal if you're a beginner) and their storytelling is cryptic as hell, to realize what the hell is going on in Bloodborne, I had to play the game thrice and look up so much stuff, at the end it feels like a goddamn enigma, and I love that. I also really like Rockstar for their attention to detail and how they can make a game a complete clusterfuck of fun, and have a serious story pop up here and there. other companies are... well... nowhere near these
This game has 0 replayability for me. Gameplay is very simple and bare bones and once you already know the Story there is no reason in picking up notes or watching the cutscenes. At that point you are just stuck with an overall good looking but boring game. I have the platinum trophy for this game btw so I played the game alot.
Retr0 cd projekt red is overrated, just because of one great game they can compare to legendary Rockstar and Naughty Dog with great long history of producing games of the same quality. I’d say give them more time and we’ll see if CDPR can keep up, then they’ll be legendary
It’s kind of sad when you think about how every time a company like Rockstar or Naughty Dog releases a game it is always seen as one of the best of the year that pushes forward the limits of small details and graphics. Because, if other game publishers put this much effort in their games then they would probably be alot more advanced
One of my favorite details from this game is when you are in the Italian villa level and you look below at the town at the bottom of the cliff and see cars driving through it in the background. That makes the world seem soo much more organic
Just finished this game on pc and it was one of the best games I ever played the climbing and jumping physics were one of the best. The story was amazing and I can never get over how good the game feels and plays. Can't wait for the next uncharted series cheers
"Fortune" - I also loved the little details with body language in this game. Like Elena's facial expressions when Nate fails at videogames, at the dinner table in Libertalia, or when she bought Jameson Marine. Grinning, thinking, lip biting etc. Or even when she gets mad at Nate near the beginning, Elena grabs at her wedding ring as if she was about to remove it. Gotta love Naughty Dog.
Nate and Elena's interactions, dialogues and emotions between them are so realistic. specially in Uncharted 4. I've never skipped a cutscene anytime I played. Yea, the way she plays with her ring and the expression on her face clearly points at her doubts in the marriage at that time.. it's simply amazing to watch
Actually that detail has existed since Uncharted 2 days. In one of the middle chapters, you can shine a mirror on your companion, and she reacts with dialogue.
You missed a detail where Nate takes pictures on his phone to send them to Sam. If you point the camera on Sully, this will trigger a dialogue of Nate telling Sully to smile.
One of the many reasons why I wanna be a game developer is because of the small details. Even if you think no one will notice or see them, it’s a great way to show your devotion and work into your game projects. I love gaming
That's why Naughty Dog is the best, making the effort to flesh out this kind of detail is what makes games like this a truly immersive experience. Pay attention UBi Soft!
One of the few times I watched a 14m+ video without speed forwarding! Congrats man for your time and amazing details revealed! Playing this series for a couple of years now and it always relaxes me with the scenery and the details included!
Does anyone else notice that the shoreline logo in Uncharted 4 can also be found in Uncharted 2 on the statues while your with Harry as your climbing to the door to enter shambhala?
Honestly, I was always a big Tomb Raider fan and I can see the similarities with Uncharted, but the Uncharted games are so much more compelling to me. Not just little details like in this video, but I also really got attached to the characters and you can feel the chemistry between them. It's simply amazing! I was legit crying when I thought we had to leave Sam to die at the end x)
yes i agree as well this game is a masterpiece and i want everyone to experience this game and rafe the best villain in the series he’s so well written so is this game
1:50 Actually that detail has existed since Uncharted 2 days. In one of the middle chapters, you can shine a mirror on your companion, and she reacts with dialogue.
Stifler English is the chosen international language so yeah, you should understand it (if not speak it) like it actually is your mother language. Additionally, not being comfortable with its grammar will make you lose many parts of the scenario since many games don't have dubbed dialogs (and come on, most dubbed dialogs sound like sh#t compared to the original) ;)
Giorgos Boultadakis *English is the chosen international language* No shit, Sherlock *so yeah, you should understand it (if not speak it) like it actually is your mother language* There are and always will be people who will have difficulties with English (or any other language that isn't their natives) and there is nothing we can do about it. You just gotta tolerate it. *Additionally, not being comfortable with its grammar will make you lose many parts of the scenario since many games don't have dubbed dialogs* No, just no. Almost every major Tripple A game these days come out dubbed, stop bs'ing. *(and come on, most dubbed dialogs sound like sh**#t** compared to the original) ;)* Depends. In this Instance e.g I actually perfered the german Dub of Uncharted, because german voices are far more distinguishable ;)
the effort put into details for this game made me so darn impressed, amazed and emotional that I quite honestly grew emotional, seriously a salute to the Naughty Dog team. I finished playing this game within two days of getting a PS4 and now on my third time when it hasn't even been a week yet! fandan20 me toooooooo :)
Gucccccci gan...OK,it's boring
So do I mate so do i
One of my favorite details from this game is when you are in the Italian villa level and you look below at the town at the bottom of the cliff and see cars driving through it in the background. That makes the world seem soo much more organic
School quiz: Name one quality feature.
Me: *_Developed by Naughty Dog_*
Just finished this game on pc and it was one of the best games I ever played the climbing and jumping physics were one of the best. The story was amazing and I can never get over how good the game feels and plays. Can't wait for the next uncharted series cheers
It’s crazy how this all started with two bars hitting a ball at each other
Huh. Learned 10 new things. Nice video, man. 👍
marcussilverhand Awesome and thanks!
Bill Peralta what part does elena grab wedding ring

Nate and Elena's interactions, dialogues and emotions between them are so realistic. specially in Uncharted 4. I've never skipped a cutscene anytime I played. Yea, the way she plays with her ring and the expression on her face clearly points at her doubts in the marriage at that time.. it's simply amazing to watch
Damn, thats alot of work
the love for details & more is clearly seen on the Uncharted series .. (TLOU too) ..
Naughty Dog, simply the best 🙏🏽
Lol, I like how he jumps into the vehicle, almost kicks Sam in the face and just says "Sorry" xD
2:08 same when i did that with Ellie in TLOU 😂
Actually that detail has existed since Uncharted 2 days. In one of the middle chapters, you can shine a mirror on your companion, and she reacts with dialogue.
Really is an amazing amount of detail, just tiny little things that you wouldn't even notice if they weren't there.
A true masterpiece.
9:23 “Nate can climb over the 4x4 & will *apologize*
9:58 *”HEY, COME ON, SCOOT.”*
Also, you can spot a deer/moose/elk's silhouette when you enter the first big encounter area in Scotland
wow, no way!!!!
I just cant realize that this loose against Overwatch in the Game of The Year 2016
Sadly they thought popularity is a good reason for a game to win
fortune :D
Thanks for watching.👍
You missed a detail where Nate takes pictures on his phone to send them to Sam. If you point the camera on Sully, this will trigger a dialogue of Nate telling Sully to smile.
One of the many reasons why I wanna be a game developer is because of the small details. Even if you think no one will notice or see them, it’s a great way to show your devotion and work into your game projects. I love gaming
If Rockstar, NaughtyDog, and Insomniac collabed they would make a "PERFECT SINGLE PLAYER GAME" mark my words
And also ubisoft
This game contains so much realism.
Best looking game since today... Although i own a pc and not a ps4 in order to play this STUNNING GAME!! :(
POTATO GAMER buy xbox one LOL...ops
Sterben Fusil ...
This game really was made with passion and dedication. Great video aswell must of took a while to make it.
Details in Naughty Dogs' game are always insane
That's why Naughty Dog is the best, making the effort to flesh out this kind of detail is what makes games like this a truly immersive experience. Pay attention UBi Soft!
Tommy C - The Division, for example, also has a lot of details like these. It all comes down to the actual developers and not the publisher itself.
This is why uncharted 4 a thief’s end is my favorite of all
ahhh the soundtrack...brings back memories
One of the few times I watched a 14m+ video without speed forwarding! Congrats man for your time and amazing details revealed! Playing this series for a couple of years now and it always relaxes me with the scenery and the details included!
Does anyone else notice that the shoreline logo in Uncharted 4 can also be found in Uncharted 2 on the statues while your with Harry as your climbing to the door to enter shambhala?
This game is a 10
10? It is. Wayyy more than that

Nathan: Literally just grabbing a drink.
ND has the most dedicated animations team I have ever seen
Uncharted 4 is the best game in the world. Thanks Naughty Dog for next masterpiece !!
Tomek Grzanka One of the best
vinukabest3 the best IMO
4 was good but 2 and 3 were better
Not too much of a game tho.
@@IamC.M 2 was amazing but 4 is ahead of it's time and 3 was meh
And people get amazed at "the attention to details" in the A'sC Origins...
12:20 ok THAT is an insane detail
Now THIS is how you make a game. I'M LOOKING AT YOU MASS EFECT ANDROMEDA.
Ah man that game sucked
Uncharted is ahead of its time, can wait to see what Naughty Dog has planned next
Edwards Release the MCMANUS the last of us two bout to drop
The terrible last of us 2
Really love this game it’s one of the most beautiful things I ever played
This game is absolutely astonishing, the details, the graphics, the story, and the ending was magnificent
Just why I love those games. Still hoping for Part 5
This details make me cry, there are AWESOMEEEE!!!!!!
I've got Last of Us Remastered and this amazing masterpiece. So lucky
Oh shit i really want to play this game ! But i didn't had a ps4 😭
Oksan Yudistira *have
Oksan Yudistira try to work on your grammar before you play video games buddy
Stifler English is the chosen international language so yeah, you should understand it (if not speak it) like it actually is your mother language. Additionally, not being comfortable with its grammar will make you lose many parts of the scenario since many games don't have dubbed dialogs (and come on, most dubbed dialogs sound like sh#t compared to the original) ;)

No shit, Sherlock
*so yeah, you should understand it (if not speak it) like it actually is your mother language*
There are and always will be people who will have difficulties with English (or any other language that isn't their natives) and there is nothing we can do about it. You just gotta tolerate it.
*Additionally, not being comfortable with its grammar will make you lose many parts of the scenario since many games don't have dubbed dialogs*
No, just no. Almost every major Tripple A game these days come out dubbed, stop bs'ing.
*(and come on, most dubbed dialogs sound like sh**#t** compared to the original) ;)*
Depends. In this Instance e.g I actually perfered the german Dub of Uncharted, because german voices are far more distinguishable ;)
@@stifler7123 Grammar has nothing to do with videogames. Please, don't be a teacher.
Uncharted 4 will hit it's 6th anniversary this year and the amount of attention to details in the game is still legendary and god tier!!! 👏👏👏🇵🇭
the effort put into details for this game made me so darn impressed, amazed and emotional that I quite honestly grew emotional, seriously a salute to the Naughty Dog team. I finished playing this game within two days of getting a PS4 and now on my third time when it hasn't even been a week yet! Thanks for this video cause I thought I knew the details but this- gosh- there are so many tiny things, number 22 is just crazy! amazing!
Just imaging the 25 INSANE Details from *The Last of Us: Part II*
For me, it's certainly the best exclusive PS4 game ever.
Its just beyond imagination man......sick......sadly cant play.......
I dont know why tears come to my eyes seeing such beautifully made games. People put so much hard work in making these games.
This game truly was ahead of its time
Uncharted 4 is a masterpiece. It was amazing
