SM seems to be such a kern observer if human beings. It seems to ne he was born to travel. He has mirrored the humans who he met every where in such vivid pen pictures. Thank you for these audiogifts in sleep denied times of the night
Well yes. He's a teller of stories. His descriptions evoke a feeling, images, appearances, scenes. He brings you into the scene. Four fat guys are indeed a remarkable sight😅
Possibly. I enjoy the narration whatever it is. Some say there's no emotion but I'm not really looking for a voice actor, just a clear presentation with a pleasant voice.
Surely is. And the same robot reads F. Scott Fitzgerald too on this same channel. Has been interesting to me to find that the cadence and stress errors inherent to AI hardly distract me at all with Maugham, yet entirely prevent my following Fitzgerald--my mind wanders from the story. Credit to Maugham's structures, seems to me, that even bad reading can't wreck the effect. And in fairness, this AI is pretty good, better than competing robots and better even than some human youtube narrators.
A supercargo was a representative of the ship's owner, who was responsible for keeping it safe during the voyage. He also arranged the sale of it when it reached its destination.
The creator of the videos states that they are augmented AI. Sometimes it's hard to notice, but if you listen to these stories, you'll hear many odd pronunciations, and words with incorrect emphasis. Following through a little, I found they use a program that clones real human voices, and this is the result. And the artwork is also AI !
Thanks for the clarification. Is the music associated with each narration also a creation by AI? The four men were such good friends and enjoyed life so much together- such a shame that it all ended so sadly. As we all know, good things never last.
The van Dorth is still a Nobel family in Holland ! Old nobility!
Oh ok Thanks for the info
Better than most human narrators ....great channel, stop whinning.
That took a dark turn .

The author has a thing about the fat.😮
Well yes. He's a teller of stories. His descriptions evoke a feeling, images, appearances, scenes. He brings you into the scene.

Trying to picture that poor petite native girl with one of those guys on top of her
Slightly unfair, this poor girl is murdered then called a “trollop“ bad enough having to sleep with one fat old man, but two????
Do you think somebody was forcing her into it?
So sad… and quite credible in my mind.
Nice😮
Who reads these stories. Is it an AI bot?

Correct.

Yes, it is a bot.
Yea. It’s all AI.
That was a depressing story...
Supercargo?
A supercargo was a representative of the ship's owner, who was responsible for keeping it safe during the voyage. He also arranged the sale of it when it reached its destination.
@@stellaburnell7947 I see. Now I know, thank you.

didn't like this story
The writer has generally a poor opinion of women
It was the day and age he lived in
He was a visionary … ahead of His time …. Smart enough to be Gay before it’ was trendy
