I’ve installed Aerocompact on a few large commercial projects, that stuff is AMAZING for large arrays. Snap a chalk line, install and straighten the first column, and then just cruise!!

Of course it’s a different version, ballasted and continuous and whatnot but it’s great

I think I like them a lot but geotextile fabric with some clean gravel might be my first move. Looks awesome.

Looks like a nice simple neat install but the shallow angle is a no go for my area. Would need something closer to 35-45 degrees due to how low the sun is in the winter where I live along with having enough angle for the panels to self clear from snow.

Since you have to ask for a quote I imagine they are made to order with the proper angles for your instillation.

Haha so cool. I'm going to do an install with them too!

I would love to see what this looks like if it was a 12kw system.

I just added 13kw of q cell 480w bf to my offgrid system. 36kw of pv now.
    I like your videos👍

Oh!, the joy of just screwing the array to the ground. Not where I live. Jackhammer and concrete, that’s our necessary recipe. Love the new exploratory content. What will Agent 775 do next?

American Earth Anchors are flipping awesome! I use them for so many things.

They are huge in Europe....hard to find large ones here that don't require a driver using an excavator.
Wish the diy rental kits that they have in Europe would get here already.....too much bureaucracy in the states.

I used their 36" and 14" ones for my DIY ground mount. I borrowed an impact gun from a friend but my compressor couldn't keep up, so I ended up muscling them in with a 24" wrench from the same friend. It was a workout - especially when you hit rocks!

@@AlecMuller I have a Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2 inch impact i use on my 24 inch anchors. Drives them right in my rocky soil.

you all should put them in my wind tunnel -- to test these things.. maybe you should install a system before a tropical storm comes in and see how they do next to the sinclair ground mount - screws don't seem long enough - my first impression - but I see all sorts of new ideas.. curious if a engineer would stamp that drawing..

We use a lot of almost flat cement roofs here in Jamaica. My company needs to actually try to find some US companies that want to work with us in Northern Jamaica but we use a lower angle than you would in South Carolina.. I need to figure the angles across Jamaica to figure it all out but.. would love some made in America products to use alongside our Leader and Blue Sun products from China.. and our other products we use

what is the wind rating on those? I have a need to put out some extra pannels in the winter, that's when we get 80+ MPH winds.

They've installed this stuff in the caribbean - so upwards of 135+ but the modules could handle the uplift pressure on their face.

IMO if a company (Aero) cannot provide prices on their website then they are trying to hide something.

    • @infl
      @infl 10 месяцев назад

That’s common when things aren’t marketed towards consumers, they don’t want to give you a price until they know how much of it you are buying. That’s not a problem with most stuff consumers buy because it’s almost always low quantities

Would be good on a flat roof.

did you install the U straps upside down for the thumbnail or in the video? I think the thumbnail makes more sense due to how it faces the sun. With both panels facing the sunshine. Not sure why you face one facing away from the sun as in the actual video.

I'd imagine pro is easy to setup, but a con seems to be its a fixed angle.
