This video saved us a lot of time and money. We were able to follow the easy steps to diagnose the actuator needed to be changed, had the part ordered changed and re-calibrated in a day. Thank you very much for the easy but thorough video!
Best, actually informative video I've seen. After getting it to do an actual wash, I went to wash my bathmat next, so put the machine on delicate. It filled the water enough to submerge it, then immediately drained. It did the same thing for rinse. ZERO agatation between filling and draining. That's not how a delicate cycle is supposed to work, is it? At least it spun. LOL This thing is junk as far as the programming goes. I wish I could afford a Samsung, which has way more 5 star ratings than any Whirlpool-made machine.
Excellent viseo instruction! Many many thanks to you. Although I am retired from years of production machine trouble shooting and repair & maintenance, the service manual I received with this washer just hurt my analog brain.
Also when I’m doing the diagnostic should my controller line up with what you did in the video. The lights did but when you might be on the regular my knob is on drain/spin
I used my new washer (Amana) for the very first time today. As soon as I plugged it in all the cycle status lights were lit. In order to start the machine I had to press start twice. I even unplugged it and still it kept happening every time I started the machine. How do I cancel this out? I didn’t even know about this feature. This is my second Amana. First one lasted me 71/2 years. I used it almost everyday.
Nothing happens when I went in agitation mode. I could see it wasn’t moving the clothes. The tub moves and the middle agitator barely moved. I toke it apart and cleaned under it. It wasn’t bad. The tub also looks off balance Please help
Any idea as of to why my amana washer has had the final spin flashing even after I unplug it try to reset it even doing the opening of the lid thing... it did let me get into diagnostics but never flashed any other lights than lid lock.. how do I clear it??? It s driving me crazy a little bit
How do I get it out of rinse mode..when I follow your directions I don't get the flashing lights or water running its just stuck..when I plug it back up it's still in rinse
when you turn the dial see how the lights count? this is called Binary, only 1 and 0, or light on or off. lid lock is 1, the next one is bit 2 then bit 4 then bit 8 then bit 16 then 32 00001 1 00010 2 00011 3 00100 4 00101 5 and with 4 bits you get 15, so thats 0 thru 9 then ABCDEF 10. so in Hex an 0xA is regular 10, 0xB is 11, etc because no one wants to say the number was zero one zero zero one zero? but that would be 12 in Hex, 010010. you just add the value of each place, 1, 2, 4, 8, it doubles each time. altho it usually starts from the high end and goes to zero, so 1000 is just 8, 1001 is 9
I can put mine in self diagnose mode no problem but when i try to recalibrate the machine i go press rinse and it lights up and stops nothing turns off

What part did you have to get for the actuator? Please 🙏🏽

If it does not spin what do we do?
Great thanks for information

Mine too
Knob position should not matter, I just like to start in the 12 o'clock position
Great info, thanks
What was the cause of the noise during the spin cycle? Mine has it also when the drum is empty.
Hi...my lights will not blink after rotating the knob... please what should I do???
You have to rotate knob counter clockwise to reset. If the control is dead and not responding, and power supply is good, it's a failed control

After I do the diagnostic. My machine doesn’t stop running water. The lid isn’t locking to engage the washer to start
Lid lock is a common problem
My washer is a conversator washer and I unplug it and it's stuck in rinse
Stuck in rinse could be a lid lock, cold water, pressure switch/control, or a drain/spin issue
Nothing happens when I went in agitation mode. I could see it wasn’t moving the clothes. The tub moves and the middle agitator barely moved. I toke it apart and cleaned under it. It wasn’t bad. The tub also looks off balance Please help
Might be a hub, or actuator
Is it because it’s full of water the sensor light has to start blinking. So I can’t do diagnostics .
What should i do if my lid will not lock? Even during diagnostics, the lock never clicks and the agitator never moves. HELP!
More than likely, the lid lock would need to be replaced. Make sure the strike isn't damaged. (The white thing that inserts into the lid lock)
Thanks, not draining tried several times it wont do diagnostics test HELP

Check lid lock, cold water valve, drain, and spin
I have a question my lid lock will not unlock and light stays on flashing for lid lock
My situation is my red light is always on and sound click click click and dont do nothing
Probably a lid lock, check to see if the lock is activated
@@htgappliance yes always on the lid lock light and the sound click click click
@@Thebosspryt does the lid actually lock?
How can I bypass my lid lock on this machine.Lock is busted and it won't start a cycle
How do I get it out of rinse mode..when I follow your directions I don't get the flashing lights or water running its just stuck..when I plug it back up it's still in rinse
Make sure the tub is drained, check cold water and pressure sensor. The pressure sensor is built into the board.
If yoy run cold and hot it runs warm water in test mode
Hi my washer doesn’t stop clicking lid locked red light on always 😢
Please tell me how to unlock my lid. It's been locked for 3 days with my clothes inside
My machine won’t go into diagnostics mode
Probably a control issue
Mine isn't coming on at all nothing wrong with the outlet it worked then it stopped any help?
User interface or faulty connection between UI and main control
Sure wish someone would come up with a controller that you don't have to fight with when you want to wash some clothes.
The good Ole days are over my friend
