The judge showed more mercy and compassion towards him than he had for his son. Tim's statement he read was absolutely appalling. No accountable and very little remorse. He carried on like he was the victim in this situation and you could see the relief on his face as he watched RF after his statement. His son forgave him but not once did he ask for forgiveness from his son. Unfortunately, 5 years in prison and those courses he's been mandated to take will not make any difference. The judge and his son rationalized Tim's actions and his flaws but Tim refuses to see them. I'm glad the girls got away from this family. After watching both grandmas in court today, I'm convinced the majority of this family is just toxic.
I am glad the prosecution reserved the right to appeal the sentence.

And this after the jury gave him guilty verdict in all 3 count of charges and NO REMORSE!! After the letters of the daughters I cried so hard. He ruined his sons life forever and both of his daughters lived in fear for years and years. Even the biological daughter doesn't want to see this monster ever again. Tim locked the son he called "asian kid" up when he was 11 yrs old and it continued in FL. This wasn't "only" about 6 weeks. And the granny that adopted the 3 yrs old youngest child is not credible. The most disturbing part of this sentencing is that as the judge was speaking before handing down time, he seemed to empathize more with TF than RF stating that it was evident TF was struggling with disciplining his own child. TF had more than enough money to seek help for himself, furthermore for RF - he chose not to invest in any help for the child’s current emotional state, pain or future. He simply build a box to bully this boy in and kept him locked away further adding to the trauma. And if RF hadn’t run away, it certainly would’ve continued. It’s beyond cruel and he deserved far more time than 5 yrs, 5mos pro. I rarely wish ill on others, but at this point TF should be thrown to the wolves.
