    That doesn't have the patina of something that's three hundred years old. Or it looks like it's been refinished. Look at how pale the wood is. If it were centuries old, the wood would probably be much darker and dirtier. And the bottom of the piece isn't very banged up, as it would be if it were centuries old. Is there worm damage? Wouldn't a centuries old piece be likely to have some? And if it's as old as you think, didn't you just reduce the antique value by sanding and refinishing it?

      These are all valid questions, this piece has already sold for $2000

      Everyone's ideal piece is user preference, we and our clients like the lighter warmer tones of wood.
