I know that "Mega Lapras Y" is just G-Max Lapras with Mega stats but damn I love it so much, it's a mixed wall with lot of base HP and defenses, plus SPA, access to recover and incredibly strong STAB moves like Sheer Cold and Boomburst (Liquid Voice) and incorporated leftovers as an innate

I think it'd be pretty cool if after a while of ranking all the megas you made a tier list style vid or something of that sort telling us the best megas and most dissapointin/worst are in your opinion.
Bug/Ground Type Mega Flygon? Never thought that would happen, but I can see it. WAY better than replacing Ground with Bug for a Pokémon who’s much more of a Ground type than a Dragon type, and making and using sandstorms and being called the ‘Desert Spirit’ was in most of its Pokédex entries.

Love this channel it inspired me to download the game, I recommend you try out Aurorus if you haven’t already. That guy has 50% and 25% resistance to super effective moves, effectively only weak to ground and fighting and slightly resisting any other super effective move (which messes with the AI). Also been using choice band Seviper which has been carrying way more than I thought it would with priority biting moves. It poisons on bite too but I haven’t found many things that live long enough for that to matter.
If I may I would love to see you cover mega Lanturn soon, it’s one of my favorites of the new ones design wise and I think it’s game plan looks interesting
I think a Physical Def set would be best for Mega Milotic. 252 EVs in HP and Def, Bold Nature. Thanks to its abilities plus natural Sp. Def it is already gonna tank Sp. Atks. I suggest a moveset of: Calm Mind Recover Scald Moonblast
Mega Milotic really carried me in my first run. Really tanky and hard to get rid off. I ran a stall moveset mixed with maxing Defense + HP with left EVs in Special Defense. The moveset I ran: - Surf - Toxic - Recover - Moonblast/Protect/Flip Turn Surprised to see it really tank hits that it was not supposed to. With or without rain teams, Mega Milotic is stilla beast.
IMO one of my favs being Nidoking deserved one. Great design, fan favorite, good move pool, but bad stats. It should've gotten more bulk and attack and some actually physical attacks boosted by sheer force. Also a defensive counterpart being mega Nidoqueen would go crazy
I get that Flygon evolves from bug-like mons, and that it itself has bug-like features, but I'm not sure how I feel about making it a full-on Bug type. Losing its resists to Fire and Rock (one of Flygon's pros is that it takes minimum damage from hazards due to its type and ability combo, granted Gravity isn't in play) and gaining a weakness to the very strong offensive type in Flying in exhange for a resistance to Fighting and... Grass (Ground is already negated by its ability, again outside of very specific Gravity scenarios) isn't worth it imo. They could have let it keep its Ground/Dragon typing, and just made Dragonfly boost its Bug type moves instead for pseudo-STAB. Curiously, regular Flygon does more damage than its mega with its Ground type moves thanks to Earthbound, which boosts the power of its Ground attacks by 25%. A Flygon with a max Attack/Sp. Atk (its Sp. Atk was buffed to base 100 in this ROM) sits at 328, while Mega Flygon's maximum possible Attack is 394. 328 plus 25% is 410, eclipsing the mega's damage output on its two strongest STABs (Earthquake and Boomburst). Of course, the difference is negligible, and Mega Flygon has better damage on all non-Ground moves, better defenses, plus the Sand Stream into Sand Rush combo. But it's still a funny thing to note.
I've got to admit I'm a little disappointed that they went all-in on making it the fattest Special wall ever instead of going the Marvel Scale angle and have it play round with being under some kind of status effect, but that would probably make it more of a gimmick than it needs to be.
Hey, i know we lost the old dex, but do we have an archive of their recommended movesets? They really helped me on previous playthroughs, and the moveset chat from the Discord server just doesn't cut it a lot of the time

That's probably because Milotic is a counterpart to Gyarados and they decided to give it a stay boost that mirrors the stat boost that MGyarados had

Fossil Pokemon are broken in this game, more so than legendaries
Focus sash Seviper is carrying me in mono poison run. Coil up and Strong jaw is just crazy, paired with ddance.
Absolutely agree. Slap on an Assault Vest and it takes like 34 damage from a Hydro Pump

Sand Song specifically says "no damage boost" so would Boomburst still be a ground STAB and get the bonus though?
