"You just happen to be walking along, when suddenly you're accosted by a gang of criminal basketballs" Love it! By far best quote of 2021 🤣 Love the video Bryan! Definitely considering picking one up
Put a little oil on the o-ring and when you draw the blade twist while pulling to help overcome the vacuum. I also drilled a small hole in the bottom of mine to help to draw it easier and to sharpen it use either a Dremel with a mounted stone or the Worksharp Ken Onion edition. I have the cane version which is longer than the one you featured
Got it for the same reason you did, that cane's just too cool! That spike's a permanent fixture in my nightly dog walk. Not to mention that when the knee gets a little wonky, it's also a good cane! Great review Brian...
Three quick comments...1) cool cane...2) your neighbor's house is on fire...3) that beard is never gonna work without the ponytail we talked about earlier...and 4) apparently ya can't get grass to grow in a backyard fulla trees in Georgia, either! LOL
I'm still trying with no success to find an old skool CS heavy duty sword cane with the 1055 carbon steel blade. Anybody has one in good condition they want to part with, I got trades to offer of higher value!
Good video. Actually, I believe how they were used back in the day was not to use them as a small sword. I believe the tip was softly placed near the victim's heart and then pushed in.
Thanks for the review, I’ve been curious about that one. I don’t know if it’s still available, nevertheless I’ll pass. I have CS pre 2007 cruciform blade sword cane, as well as their Heavy Duty Sword Cane. I’ve drawn a sword cane on two occasions, neither involved CS, both being a Windlass but not the same model each time. Once when attacked by two medium-large size dogs and the other was finding a snake in the kitchen. I love sword canes. If you remove one O-ring you’ll find that it draws much better. Some lub also helps. As for rattle, I received none on the CS HDSC when doing so and think very possibly the same on that model. The shorter blade really speeds up the draw, 17” being my favourite for that purpose and handling in tight quarters. However, I’m not dismissing a longer blade.
That just bring back a fun memory. When I was in High school my friend's uncle had some sort of cane. At the end it has like a horse whip, he said I hit the other person with the whip. I though that's idiot, but when the other person grab and pull the whip, it will show the sword. That was really cool
Cool for what it is! I carry a regular hook cane sometimes but I've trained with one. I actually want the Steven Segal cane. I believe they make that too.
Bryan. Please note..wipe the blood off on their cloths not yours.. My sword cane has a "ninja" style 24" sharp blade in it , I've had it for many years.. Keep on sticking. I mean be safe..lol
a thief steals a grandmas purse and turns and flees grandma whips the cold steel sword cane out and sends it flying after him, sticking him like a pig at 6:15 😆
Well that was fun! We had this discussion Bryan! Ronin Katana sword is what I have yet to get. Except my SPS disease is greatly reducing using my only thumb.
Was thinkin about getting one of those Cold Steel 1911 gripped Guardian 1’s for my Dad... I’ve made him a few Ash walking sticks, which he loves. But he’s a big fan of his 1911’s...
You will need some DuPont lubricant for the o rings on that joker...especially if you keep playing with it...you can find new o rings, being a plumber😂 Always wanted the heavy duty version myself...it was an actual carbon steel sword😁
I do not need a cane. However, after seeing this video I’m in need of this particular cane now! I would like to buy one with a sharp blade on it though. Love to pull it out and carve the Thanksgiving Turkey with it. Imagine the surprise on all of my relatives faces.

OK, Cane's for what ever the actual purpose of usefullness one will or would carry it. Is allowed everywhere; No question's asked. I can go through the machine at any airport with no issue's.But then, my cane is totally wood. Having a steal blade within it, I'm not sure, I wouldn't have any issue's.
Hello Brian, Thanks for another fun video. I just wanted to point out, if you miss their eye with the stabber, you can hit them in the ear with the sheath.
The kid in us all.....but "old farts" me need a cane too. To bad they are illegal where I live. I think that's wrong too, I'm a family, good, law abiding citizen. The sickos' prey on us as we age, they wouldn't have by a long sight when I was in my 30's.
What does survival mean? It means staying alive. Which makes it about much more than “wilderness survival”. Most of us spend the majority of our tome anywhere but the woods.
@@SurvivalOnPurpose Yep, survival is using what ever you can get your hands on, no matter what environment you’re in. More and more I’m having to use a cane to get around, so learning to use a cane for some basic defense is a good idea. Peace, Brian.

That balance test was unbelievable. I had to watch it over and over just for laughs. Thanks for trying it out.

Too much kudzu and potion ivy. Need an aerial application of 2,4-D and crossbow.
My dad loved sword canes. He would buy them whenever he saw one in an estate sale.

They had one in carbon steel?
Depends what state you're in.. Google sword cane.. they're there.. but they don't ship to every state
Now, finally, I know what to do with my old basketballs. Lol Great video.

I still can't believe Lynn Thompson sold cold steel 😵😳.
So its just a big ice pick?

Bought one years ago from cold steel very cool weapon
a thief steals a grandmas purse and turns and flees

😆
That was fun. Thanks,
Flying sword! Cooooool... Great vid, Ty.
Good job sir, A most excellent gizzard poking device.
I'd want the blade to be "locked" in so the cane could used as a club.
Isn't that just a normal cane
@@colinsmith6020 nope
The scabbard is sturdy enough for striking and jabbing with your other hand.

Too bad it's illegal to carry where I live. Cute puppy.

I have them both!
Reminds me of a Shillelagh. And as an one of Irish descent I find it offensive and cool at the same time. :)
What would it look like in X-rays. Would it only show the cane or will it show the sword inside it.
You could tell the curious policeman it's your custom made golf club.
My grand father use this type of stick .
In India we call it " GUPTI"
Entertaining! Thank you
Is the rubber tip replacement available ?
No dogs were hurt during the making of this video. Thank goodness & my prayers.
That looks pretty sweet!
Sweet! I've seen that and thought about grabbing one in case I ever need a cane:)

Good review , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Maybe the next review should be on straight razors.
Check out the cold steel heavy duty sword cane. It has a full length honest to God sword in it!
What’s on the grill, filet of basketball?
At exactly 6:00 into this video look up at the right corner.
And another nice, informative video. I have one question though. Does it rattle when walking with it?
Well I can no longer resist this cane lol, I've held off for years on a sword came but it's on for just under 90 Canadian so why not lol
That would be so illegal here in the UK, hidden weapons are a big no no, if they wern't I would have an umbrella sword.
My state these are legal, and even if it wasn't I only live by one law that's called SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
Just like the final boss in an 80s ninja movie
You could pretend you are Chester on Gunsmoke?:)
The spike is 18 inches but how long is the spike and handle together?
cool
Severe pokey trauma
Cute dog
He’s a mess

Carrying a sword cane in my state, AL, is illegal. Go figure.
I need this in my life
Great video and beard

Science is very important
Definitely entertaining but I'll stick with my cane masters cane no hidden knife but I'd hate to be on the receiving end of It for sure

You almost certainly would not be able to take this through any metal detector.
Aren't sword canes illegal in most states?
I have no idea. I know they are legal in Georgia if you have a concealed weapons permit.
How can I order
Hello Brian, Thanks for another fun video. I just wanted to point out, if you miss their eye with the stabber, you can hit them in the ear with the sheath.
I wonder if it’s California compliant?.....I’m not bitter.🤔
I live on the opposite coast , sword canes are illegal here too. I'm wondering if the lack of an edge is an attempt to circumvent those laws.
There is no blade edge. It's just a pointy rod, not illegal.
👍👍👍👍
I guess if it's not edged, that mediocre steel is ok. Don't need to worry about edge retention.

No excuse for any weapon to be illegal for legal citizens who are not violent felons
A cane can be used as a weapon even without the sword in it.
You scared your dog out of the backyard!
Giant ice pick.
BRIAN,I REALLY WISH YOU'D JUST STICK TO SURVIVAL ITEMS.A CAINE IN THE WOODS JUST AIN'T HAPPENING.
