agree this is one of the best helmets out there, I`m as well on the second pair, had a fair few scary crashes on a big jumps, one of them direct landing onto my head, would swap this helmet for anything else. Crash tested and it works.
Thank you for your content. I have a Super DH and it's okay but... Are you aware of any bike helmut(s), regardless of use case, that use a strap that's more like those used on motorcycle helmuts? I don't like the two thin Y-strap that is in front and back around the ear, the complicated adjustment, etc. Motorcycle helmuts often include wide/thick padding between the strap and neck, and/or quick-release like a zip-tie. These are so much better, and I don't know why bike helmut manufacturers won't innovate. Thanks.
@@TrailDad yes it does. It’s actually so comfortable I am wearing it more than my half shell because there is no real penalty and a lot of benefits. Mine is only about 650 grams.
@@TrailDad it’s an impressive bit of engineering. I was wearing my Switchblade on afield trip to Bachelor and tried one on in their pro shop and immediately knew I needed to upgrade. Comfy as a half shell and full dh rating. Beautiful fit and finish as well.
@@TrailDad I have a regular Cali helmet. Been thinking of getting a full face.. I did try one couldn’t got use to it. Maybe because it was tight and I was having a head ache. 😂😂. Definitely will think abou getting one the right size! Thanks mi amigo. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Wow the magnetic buckle is hard?!... try d-ring with gloves. Traditional buckle is slower to attached and deattach compared to magnetic buckle The sun visor is suppose to break off easy for crashes
Bro good review. Have you tried on super Air? I am considering super 3R, super Air or DH. Still not sure go for which one. 🤔 my head size is around 56-57cm.
I measurred 58cm for my head and ordered a M helmet. I got it today and I got the feeling it will rip my ears of when I try to pull it on or off. Also, when I got it on and open my mouth, my cheeks will be pushed between my teeths, so I think I will bite into my own cheeks badly on a crash event. I already put on the smaller pads that was in the package. Is this normal with full face helmets or should I try size L instead? Thanks for your help!
I think M is too small for you. When you put it on, it should not cause pain or pressure on the side of your head. Get a Large and you can use the dial to tighten it down. Try measuring your head again, but don't make it tight using a "relaxed" measurement.
@@TrailDad Ah, maybe this is the problem. When I am meassuring I alwasy tighten it up. Good hint. Also, I think my head is a little wider on the cheeks, maybe I should resell my e-bike and ride up the hill by myself 😀
@@TrailDad The L size arrived. And yes, its much bigger. Now I can better make a difference. With the M size I wouldn't be able to even speak that much cause it pushed me cheek in between my teeths as so as I open my mouth. With the L size this isn't the case. But yes, it's really bigger and I hope the helmet doesn't get bigger over time.
What is your favorite enduro/DH helmet? What do you think about convertible helmets? Nay or yay?

Pro tip... Buckle the back first and then the side clips after. That's when it snaps in place in a more solid way and feels way more secure

Recently switched to an IXS trigger ff and love it. Super light. Great ventilation. Excellent fit system. Full dh rating.
I had a switchblade before and never really found the convertible aspect really all that useful.
Does it have a cinch in the back too? I’m looking to try a regular full face for bike park riding

Cool clip mi amigo! Thanks for sharing! 👍🏽🤙🏽💯💯
Thanks. What helmets do you use / like

The buckle isn't hard, just frustrating at times when in full face mode. I'm half shell, I do it with one hand.
Just an fyi helmets are a 1 crash helmet
Thanks for the review. Others have mentioned that the helmet is rather noisy. Did you notice anything of the kind?
Have mine for a year now, and I ride a lot! Never noticed the noise that people refer to 🤷🏾♂️
Watching bro Neil. Ganda ng fullface helmet mo na bell sulit na sulit.
thanks bro! pede all-around
What about Bell Super Air R? Do you think it can survive the same crash like you had before?
Nice helmet. Meron akong Super Air R, good for enduro (not dh certified), wala akong masabi.
My first helmer is super 3r. That’s the older model yata ng Super Air. Light and comfortable

I'd go for the DH for the protection if you're gonna do bike parks etc. It's certified for that 🙏🏽
