Thanks for making this video. Appreciate the time and effort. As others have mentioned, you don't see too many Timex 400s out there, let alone a video serving it. Thanks for your horological support.
Never saw a Timex serviced. Didn’t think it was possible. Didn’t know they actually did a real movement that could be serviced. Great video, thanks. I learned something new.
Cool video. Don't see a lot of 400s let alone a video on servicing one. Already shared with some of my Timex friends. Thanks for taking the time and looking forward to part 2
I can’t believe it took me so long to become aware of them after futzing around with so many Timex watches. Thank you so much for watching, commenting and sharing!
@michaellawrence6677 All Timex can be serviced. Unfortunately, the "Timex Manuals" way of servicing a typical movement is to just remove the dial and hands and clean the movement as one piece. Some are held together with screws, some with rivets. These 17 jewels movements are different of course.
Lol.. Timex are great watches for people to start on when picking up the hobby of watch repair. You get comfortable removing hands and dials, cleaning cases and crystals, etc.. without much expense

The underside of the case may have seen better days, but it seems to be a great movement inside. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!

I’ve gone through 3/4 of a bottle of lighter fluid if that hints at anything.
