Oh my! That must have hurt! It's a heavy chair on its own... give me a couple of months and I'm sure we will have an interesting project in the making 🤔 I'd like to aim for remote control, let's see how I get on 😀

With the music, this made me think of Pebble Mill at One attempting robot wars.

I believe you should watch the cautionary tale of The Genesis of the Daleks before going any further!

I'm not joking, I have really thought about making a remote controlled darlek, but I'd have no where to store it!

Wow that is not something you see every day. The destructive disassembly for recycling and re-use of a very high-tech wheelchair. It is nice that a machine like that that isn't used anymore (they're often completely tailored to their owner and not really interchangeable to others without some major reworking, and they're often used for a long long time so refurbishing a unit like that is not really a thing that is happening I'd say).
Now will this be the beginning of the end. A dubious future might be ahead for us all. The question that haunts me ever since watching this video: "Will this decommissioned wheelchair rise from it's ashes and in it's re-incarnated re-shaped robot guise be the beginning of the end of human civilization as we know it today?" I bet Sarah Connor would know.... 😁😎

I've got a small one a friend was going to chuck out, batteries are dead though. Who knows why I took it. But the one you have is a bit of a beast in comparison, lots of heavy duty metalwork and suspension. Heavy duty lawnmower... robot wars? It will be interesting to see what you come up with for this one 🙂

I think they are even more expensive than that my brother had a friend with muscle dystropy his permobil cost something like almost £20k and that was 25+ years ago they might have been cheeper today.

I think technology has moved on and they have designed some of the cost out of the modern systems. It wouldn't surprise me if that was 20k originally!

It is just asking to have a lawnmower attached to it.
