  • I have never seen a yard with a PUBLIC NUISANCE NOTICE from the city until we passed by this yard one the way to big worms BBQ. This yard was completely out of control. It was TALL, THICK, and I got stuck a few times. The neighbor came by and told us something pretty spooky so stay tuned for that!!!

      Exactly. When you enjoy/love what you do, getting paid for it is great, but you do it just because you want to do it. Too many people just settle for whatever pays the bill. They apparently don't understand the passionate ones that just do something for the sake of it.

      You are 100% right. It is very hard on the equipment. What most people don't really realize how expensive it is to maintain your equipment. I know bcuz I do field mowing out in the country where I live. I mow properties from 2 acres & up. Their weeds are as tall as those & sometimes taller. So not only is there the expense in gas. But there's things like oil, filters, blades, belts & so much more that needs to constantly be kept up. But most of all it is very time consuming & hard work. So thank you for seeing what many people don't usually see or understand. Also kudos to you good kind hearted ❤ gentlemen. Thank you for giving back to you community. God Bless you all

My father had several properties he would rent to low income families. 200 bucks a month for a three bedroom house my father wasn’t trying to get rich,just trying to help make a difference in someone’s life. When he got to old to keep up the maintenance I stepped in to do the work. So I know what it’s like to do yards in the hood. So without further to do( and there’s always further to do)😄 keep up the good work.

    Not too bad of an area for being considered the hood. I helped an uncle clean up the yards of HUD homes in Detroit back in the 70s. The grass and weeds were nearly head-high and you couldn't go 3 feet without running into some large object. If it existed it was in those yards. Great work. The county/city should be grateful for the gas line being visible now.

      Agreed. The two of 'em doing that has drastically increased the likelihood that a house flipper, contractor, or over-zealous average person will purchase the property. Cities don't earn property tax on vacant lots, yo. By clearing this miniature jungle, it'll entice someone to purchase the house, thus getting it back to a livable state and restoring the city's revenue flow from that particular property. The mayor and the city are directly benefitting from their work.

    As a motorcyclist, I appreciate the effort you make to NOT blow clippings into the street, while you mow. I see so many lawn services that (in spite of the ordinance not to) mow the curb row with discharge pointing into the street. I nearly went down in a blind curve due to it being covered with wet grass clippings, from his discharge pointing out. (If a car would have been in the opposite lane, it would have been a head on!)
    I stopped and tried to educate him. The dude said "I blow it all back when I'm finished cutting!". My explanation continued as to why that does me no good in the meantime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I notice (in the couple vids I've watched) you mow at the curb with your discharge into the yard. It appears to me to be intentional. HUGE KUDOS for that! And as for giving back to your community the way you do, God bless you!

    • @tabbykitty68
      @tabbykitty68 3 года назад +5

      Yes sir I agree I'm I gave him kudos for doing the same thing by blowing back the grass cuttings back into the lawn instead of out on the streets which is hazardous for motorcyclists and it does no good for the sewer when the mouth in the curb gets clogged up with all kinds of trash and grass clippings.

      I agree completely!!! And aside from the most important safety issue, I am so sick of all my neighbors lawn services blowing it in front of my yard. What is up with that? I don't want to clean it up any more than they do, but it becomes my problem. I grew up watching all the neighborhood dads sweep up the gutters and area in front of the house with a broom and dust pan and throw it away. They would have never thought of putting all their crap in front of somebody else's house. Also, when I drive by somewhere in my car I don't really appreciate all that crap hitting my car. Why don't the lawn services train people better?

Oddly enough, wearing a mask isn't always helpful for people with respiratory issues: a mask can make it harder to breathe, acting as a barrier to the free flow of air!
