Having your feet out slightly and/or tilting while driving outdoors is a good idea to prevent damage to your footplates in case you encounter an uneven surface. Me personally it’s more comfortable to have a 5 degree tilt baseline
I got a new permobil wheelchair that is unbearably painful to sit in more than 30 minutes the cushions are not helping me at all the pain is in my bottom cheek area that feels like stabbing pain.What do you recommend? I had an older model of the same chair almost 10 years.The chair was delivered during the pandemic so I had to have my nurse help me with the adjustments. any advise?
Hello! Thank you for getting in touch but I'm sorry to hear the issues you're having with your new chair. Without understanding and viewing the setup of the chair, it's really difficult to judge. The best thing to do is to have a reassessment of your position and posture to ensure you're being supported correctly. If possible, I'd also get in touch with the company that provided the chair as they have a responsibility to adjust and maintain the chair for you. Hope this helps
Is there a way to make the chair movewhile laying down? I can't raise my head more then a foot above my heart or i have a vasovagal response and my bp dropps to 0 and i die until I'm layed back down.. i have not been outside in 2.3 yrs.. I'd love to b able to move my chair while it's in the layed down position.. is there anything that can help me!! My doc and nurses all say.. we r just keeping you comfortable while we wait for you to die.. but id like to go outside.. just a few more times before i kick it.. I'm 43 btw.. I'm not old.. and i still have my mind.. my body just doesn't work..

Trying to help my grandpa out, his wheelchair only has M3 and even that does not want to turn white. How do I enable the extra memory profiles? (Using permobile m3)
i think its technically possible that a programmer can override this behaviour. but i am not sure a official tech guy will do it because its a security feature. maybe if payed privately they might do it. also if you just recline and do just tilt a little, the wheelchair gets in a pretty flat position which isnt completely lying down but almost. maybe this is enough for you. i'd try to get a permobil vendor to let you try out that chair and also ask them if they would do the programming for you. maybe the programming isnt even necessary. best wishes.

Laying completely flat might be a bit disorienting for some when trying to operate the controls.
